    Zoey and Mira work. That's a fact. You look at them, and it makes sense. They'll be the first to tell you this. It feels right.
    But then there's Rumi.

    Dorky, awkward, gentle, and mysterious Rumi.

    She makes sense too. She's always made sense.

    Yet everything around them points in the direction of chaos. Unpredictability. Can they make it work? Or is it just another thing they can't solve.

    There are too many unknowns. Too many variables. The entire system could collapse in itself. […]

    But there is an exception.

    There are a few highly improbable stable configurations that work. It doesn’t make sense, the math doesn’t make sense.

    Yet perhaps we don’t need to understand it. Maybe we don’t need to drive ourselves insane trying to figure out an answer.

    Because sometimes it simply just works. […]
