Lydias Daughter

Summary:

After Lydia’s attempt to get her brother, Sebastian, to come back home was unsuccessful, Lydia was forced into an arranged marriage. Lydia, after a few years of the two being married, had a daughter with the man who she was forced to marry. She named the girl Nataliya. Lydia and the man divorced a year after Nataliya was born. After the divorce Lydia thought it would be right to change Nataliya's last name to Shvagenbagen, her maiden name. Lydia moved back into her fathers house and put Nataliya into Sebastian’s old room. Nataliya grew up in that house. She grew up almost exactly the same way that Sebastian and Lydia did. Same punishment (until Gustav passed), same routine, the only difference was the people. She had her mother, her grandfather, and two butlers who were the sons of Roft. They always said that Nataliya was a lot like Sebastian, her uncle. But a week after the death of her grandfather, Gustav, the will was read and she saw her uncle, Glam

Notes:

hai hai!! please read the tags and summary if you haven't yet!!

for each chapter i will be adding either a note or summary + the tags will be updated when each chapter comes out. i would STRONGLY suggest you read them before you read the chapter so you get a slight understanding of what will happen/be brought up.

this fic is basically my rendition of how glam would've grown up in this century with slightly less strict rules.. so yeah!!

also this is a fic i have been working on since.... 2022.. and i just now remembered it... so yeah...

buttt i did re-read it and change a few minor details, like spelling and if certain things didn't make sense for the setting.

hope you enjoy!! (and, as always) leave a comment if you have any suggestions for this fic or if you like it!!

Chapter 1: Reunions and Meetings

Chapter Text

“Mother, where are we going?” asked Nataliya. “We are going to get your uncle, Sebastian, and his wife.” Nataliya's eyes light up like christmas lights. But then she quickly nods, making her eyes go back to how they were. “Mother, do you know anything about Sebastian and his family?” Lydia thinks for a moment then says. “No, I do not. Sebastian cut off contact after he ran away.” Nataliya nods, showing she understood. She looks out the window and sighs quietly. “What if I have cousins? Are they nice? Do they play instruments? Is uncle strict like grandfather or is he like mother and not as strict?” Nataliya's mind races with these questions until her mother puts a hand on her shoulder. “Are you okay, Nat? You look like you're thinking hard about something.” Nataliya looks at her mother. “I was just thinking about Sebastian and his family.” Lydia holds Nataliya's hands “Nat, this probably will be the only time you ever meet them so please don't get disappointed if you never see them again, okay?” Nataliya nods.

The driver stops in front of a large Victorian-esque estate; gloomy and dark. The wood was painted dull blue, the fences were spiked. The aesthetic of the house made it seem like all living life was dead. She, Nataliya, was in awe with what she was seeing. The architecture and flora looked like they were arranged perfectly. “Wow, I knew Sebastian liked different things now but I didn't think it would be this different.” Lydia remarks as she steps out of the car.

Nataliya nods and continues to admire the beauty of the house. The thing that causes her to come out of her trance of admiring the house is when she sees her mother talking to a person who looks like her but a bit more masculine, in a way. He walks to the car and Lydia walks into the doorway of the house. The man introduces himself. He announces that his name is “Glam”

“Such a peculiar name”  Nataliya mutters to herself.

“..Don't forget to break smoothly. My wife hates hard braking.” He chuckles then walks back to the house.

“Who was that?” Nataliya asks the driver. “He's your uncle, Sebastian. He is going by the name Glam now based on what he’s said.” Nataliya looks out the window and sees her mother walking back to the car with two other people following behind. One is her uncle, Glam, and the other looks like a brute. Lydia enters the car and the 2 others follow behind her. “Oh who is this?” Her uncle, Glam asks calmly. “She is my daughter.” The brute looks at Glam with a surprised look on her face. “Glam, did you know we had a niece?”

“Nope, we're both finding this out at the same time.” He smiles at his wife, his smile looking like one that a manic would wear. He then turns to Nataliya. “So, what is your name?”

(Nataliya's POV)

“My name is Nataliya Shvagenbagen.. And you are Sebas- Glam?” I ask as I look up at him. He laughs then nods. “My name is Glam and her name is Victoria.” I look at her, then to mother, then back to Victoria. “You look.. strong.” I say, trying to complement her because she honestly scares me. “..Thanks? Wait, was that a complement?” Victoria asks. “Yes, i-it was supposed to be a compliment.” She nods and then Mother, Glam and Victoria start talking. “I really don't like riding in the backseat. Can I switch to the front?” Victoria complains. “Nope.” Glam says but Mother follows up with, “Aw, but why? Where I'm from, only drivers and security guards sit in the front.” Victoria glares at mother “I think it's safe to count her as a-” Victoria interrupts mother then remarks “You won't be counting anything.” Mother replies with. “There's plenty for me to count. I'm expecting 89% of the inheritance. Nataliya is getting 10%.” Victoria scoffs then asks “Glam, is there anything in there for us?” Glam thinks for a moment then states “I don't think so, Vicky.” He smiles, looking like a maniac. “Then why the fuck are we going through this humiliating procedure?” She announces angrily “Strictly formalities. The heads of the family are required to attend the ceremony.” Mother scoffs “Heads of the family.”

The car stops in front of a building and mother rushes out of the car. I follow mother into the room where I see my other family members. I sit on the left of her and after a minute I see Victoria and Glam come into the room. Glam sits beside me and Victoria sits beside him.

(TIMESKIP: After the reading of the will because i am NOT writing that.)

My mother and I quickly left the place where the will was read. As we walked out I noticed that Glam and Victoria were getting a taxi. “Mother, why aren’t they following us?” I ask. “They decided to not ride with us. The one good thing about that is you can get extra time practicing your piano.”

"I hate having to learn the piano." I think to myself as I get into the limo. Mother follows and the driver quickly drives us home.

When we get home I rush to my piano. ‘The quicker I get this done, the faster I can listen to my music.’ I think to myself as I sit at the seat in front of my piano. I open the book to the page I was last at. “Für Elise.” I say quietly as I crack my knuckles. I start playing the song from the beginning, making sure to not hit the wrong keys.

After what seemed like forever, I finished playing. The butler, Yuri, walks into the room clapping his hands."That was beautiful, Miss Nataliya" I laughed slightly "Thank you, Yuri." I state as I shut my music book. “Your mother has requested that you stop playing and get ready for bed.” I sigh and then get up from my piano seat. I walk out of the music room and grab a towel out of the hall closet. I look at the clock and sigh. ‘20:12’ I walk out of the closet and enter the washroom.

I undress myself and turn on the water for the shower. After a minute of letting the water run i put my hand, well forearm, under the water to see if it's warm enough for me to enter without getting cold or burned. As the water hits my wrist I groan in pain. As the feeling of water trickles down the cuts and bruises it feels like lava burning me.

“Nataliya, are you in there making sounds of.. pain?” I jump at the sudden sound. He sounds more angry than usual. “N-no Emil..” I say as I bite my lip, trying not to make a sound of pain. “Good, that's what I thought..” Emil remarks as he walks away from the door. I hold my other wrist with my other hand. I feel the water enter the cuts. I'm only doing this to get the pain over with quicker, I hate this pain. I finally got into the shower after I got used to the water hitting my cuts. I'm actually surprised that i'm not used to the pain, I mean grandfather has been doing this to me ever since i've been born it seems. He said it was “discipline” but I don't think it is. I would never say this in front of him but if I say it in my head it's fine and he's dead. It's not like he's gonna strike me down and kill me for saying it, now that is.

**AFTER THE SHOWER**

I open the cabinets under the sink. I grab out the lotion and rub it on my skin. Mother says this makes me have a more “womanly” body… I sigh and continue to rub the lotion on my skin. After I get it on pretty much every inch of my body I put on my night outfit and put away everything I used. One time I forgot to put everything away and I got hit so hard the bones in my wrist almost broke. Mother apologized for grandfather's harsh ways but it still hurt. She said that grandfather would always be harsher with Sebast- wait, what was it again.. Glam? Yeah I think he goes by Glam now, I wonder why? Anyway, She said that he would always be harsher with Glam because he would rebel in small ways. Grandfather supposedly said to mother that he saw Sebastian in me and that's why he was so harsh to me.

I walk into my room and lay onto my bed. “Why did grandfather not like Uncle Glam? Why did Uncle Glam run away?” I then look in my closet and see a box marked Sebastian. “It won't hurt to look, right?” I whisper as I walk to the box.

I look at the box that is in the closet. Grandfather told me to never open this box but it just made me more interested. I walk to the box and remove the top of it.  “This just looks like regular albums.” I look through the albums until I notice one that looks…worn and old. I pull the album out and it reads. ‘Bach’

“I'm guessing this was uncle's favorite vinyl, considering it looks like it's been used a lot.” I whisper to myself as a walk towards the record player that is on my dresser. I place the vinyl onto it. I press play and I hear the song’s intro start to play. As the 16 second intro ends and the singer starts singing.

.

.

After the 36 minute and 58 second long album ends, I take the album out of the player, put it back into the sleeve, and put it in the box with the other albums. “That was..something” I say as I turn off my light and fall onto my bed, falling into a deep sleep.
