Between Heaven and Hell: Buck’s Desire

Summary:

When the pact between the Buckleys and Lucifer Morningstar was sealed, Evan’s fate stopped being human. Born to save and be saved, he carries a divine gift that makes him light — but also forces him to face everything that light exposes. As a firefighter at the 118, Buck struggles with the emptiness that haunts him even on his brightest days. Until he meets Eddie Diaz and Christopher, two souls human enough to shatter everything he thought he knew about love, purpose, and belonging.

But balance is fragile. Lucifer’s return to Earth unveils the bond between them and forces Buck to choose between the celestial calling that made him and the earthly love that completes him. Between heaven and hell, between the fire that destroys and the one that warms, Buck learns that salvation has a price — and that being light in a world afraid of it may be his greatest curse.

A story about faith, family, and the weight of feeling everything — even what hurts. Where hell has a heart, heaven has consequences, and love might be the only form of redemption.

Hi everyone, this is my second work here! Feel free to check out my first one as well.
In my head, this crossover idea works perfectly — it’s not the first time I’ve thought about blending different universes, but this time I was able to picture a full story: beginning, middle, and end.

So trust me on this: you’ll have fun and come along for the ride. It’s going to work, it’s going to be super exciting — I promise!

Before we begin, I’d like to clarify a few things: the relationship between Lucifer and Chloe will not be developed in this fanfic. Chloe will appear, but only as a colleague of Lucifer’s. In this story, his connection to Evan comes through an investigation, not as a romantic partner. To the Lucifer fans out there, I hope you’ll understand this choice — it’s simply not the relationship I want to explore here.

The full structure of this fanfic is already finished, with over 30 chapters completed. That means I plan to post it as quickly as possible. I might release everything all at once, or perhaps in smaller batches — I haven’t decided yet.

Either way, I truly hope you’ll enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. 💫
