The Mark curled around her bicep like an intentional tattoo, but the brown line, that twisted like a vine, had been there since her twentieth birthday, and had stayed there.
Across Space and Time, she hadn’t been able to find her soulmate, having glanced at every bare shoulder she could find. Rose didn’t know the hand she held every day had the same Mark until one regeneration, one change of clothes, and her fingers were suddenly chasing the Mark up from his elbow to his shoulder. All it took was Jackie glancing over before she left the room.
Her heart was hammering in her chest, and it was just her and the Doctor. Across time and space, she hadn’t needed to look too far to find her soulmate.
