Something was different.
You could feel it in the air, whispered from the slivers of magic that surrounded the air. Only you could hear what they said, but now even they seemed to be confused.
They were only ever confused when something world-altering was about to happen, but here at Destiny’s home, things seemed normal enough. They lounged on the red couch as usual when you stepped in, before they chuckled. “You came to me, my love.”
You smiled. “Of course I came. You called for me.”
They rolled over to their stomach, grinning at you. “I have been thinking.”
You tilted your head as you narrowed your eyes, but a smile still on your face. “Sounds ominous.”
They sat up slowly. “You, the First Witch, origin of magic. Me, the origin of love and desire. We make a perfect pair. Love is like magic, it’s this unexplainable feeling of longing. It’s our destiny to be together forever.”
You averted your eyes to the table for a moment, seeing a small black box on the table. You blinked before your eyes widened. “Are you—”
“Yes,” they interrupted, taking the box and opening it to reveal a ring with a heart shaped red ruby on it. “I want us to get married.”
“Desire—”
They interrupted you again. “I wanted to keep a longer speech to convince you, but nothing gets past you, my love. We’ve been together for millenniums, I want to make it forever.”
You stared at the ring, then at them, then again at the ring. “You do know your siblings will find out if you get a wife?”
They smirked. “I think it’s time for them to know. Destiny already knows, of course, he’s reading his book as we speak.”
You stared at the ring for a moment longer, before you extended your hand with a wide smile. “In that case, yes. I will marry you.”
They rose up from the couch and approached you, sliding the ring into your finger before they leaned you and kissed you with such power you had never before experienced from them.
Yeah. Your marriage with them would be chaotic but the most amazing adventure you’ll ever have.
