A drabble about Rumi and self-harm

Rumi traced her finger along the countless self-inflicted marks on her arm.
There were easily over a hundred, just from the past few days. She knew it wasn't healthy, but those moments when she tended to her wounds were the closest thing she felt to being truly cared for, patterns and all.
It's a good thing I'm covering my arms anyway...
