    Buck was so wrapped up in the episode that he almost didn’t hear the sound of glass breaking.

    He got out of bed quietly, grabbing his phone from his side table. Hopefully, the noise from the kitchen was just Chris getting a snack. He pushed open the door to their bedroom slowly. Maybe it was silly, but Buck had a bad feeling in his gut as he stepped into the hallway clutching his phone tightly in his hand.

    “And you’re sure no one’s home?”

    Buck froze as he heard the unfamiliar voice coming from the kitchen. Ice flooded his veins as his eyes darted between the direction of the kitchen and Chris’s room.
