Chapter Text

The sunlight shone through the windows of Princess Daisy's bedroom. Daisy opened her eyes and smiled as bright as the sun. Today, Daisy was going to visit her friends in the Mushroom Kingdom and she was very excited. The four of them haven't seen one another since they visited the Crystal Kingdom last month. Daisy climbed out of bed and headed for the bathroom.

Daisy reflected on everything that transpired in the Crystal Kingdom as she got ready for the day. She really wanted to visit again, maybe even another kingdom filled with crystals and gemstones. After brushing her teeth and washing her face, Daisy got dressed and fixed her hair. She smiled at her reflection and left her room. Daisy arrived in the dining hall pretty quickly and took a seat at the table.

"Good morning, Princess!" The servants greeted her with smiles on their faces.

"Morning!" Daisy replied with a smile of her own.

A chef entered the dining hall and set a place of French Toast, berries, and sausage in front of her. He then poured her a glass of apple juice. The chef bowed once he was finished and left.

As Daisy ate her breakfast, her younger sister Azalea walked inside and sat down at the table.

"Good morning, sis!" Daisy said after swallowing a bite of her food.

Azalea yawned. "Morning..."

A Pionpi chef entered the dining hall with a plate of food for Azalea and some apple juice. Azalea thanked him as he placed them in front of her. After bowing, the Pionpi quietly left the dining hall. Azalea took a bite of her French Toast and smiled. As she took a sip of her apple juice, Daisy spoke up.

"Y'know, you can come with me to the Mushroom Kingdom if you want."

Azalea smiled and shook her head. "No thanks. I'm going to hang out with some of my friends and meet up with Mom and Dad in the Easton Kingdom." Azalea took a bite of her sausage. "But I'll definitely visit next time!"

Daisy smiled. "Alright!"

Once Daisy and Azalea finished their breakfast, the two sisters went their separate ways. Daisy greeted everyone as she walked away from her castle in the middle of Sarasaland. She finally arrived at a green Warp Pipe and jumped into it. After jumping through a few more, she finally made it to the Mushroom Kingdom!

Immediately after stepping out of the Warp Pipe, Daisy had a weird feeling in her chest. Like something wasn't right.

Daisy shook her head. "It's probably nothing."

Smiling, Daisy pushed that feeling aside and made her way to Princess Peach's castle.

"Clawdia! Come back!" Bowser called out to his wife as she rushed past him.

Clawdia turned around to face him and angrily said, "I'm going to the Magma Kingdom with Clawdeen and the others while you spend time with Princess Peach today!"

Before Bowser could attempt to calm his wife down, Clawdia made her way outside and angrily slammed the doors shut. Sighing, Bowser made his way to the Great Hall where his children and a few minions were waiting. Some of the kids looked bored or annoyed that they had to fight Mario and Luigi today. Bowser took a seat at the table and looked at everyone in the room.

"We'll be heading to the Mushroom Kingdom in a few minutes." He told them.

While some of the Koopalings groaned, Bowser Jr. grinned excitedly. Iggy's phone dinged, making him raise an eyebrow.

"Huh?" Iggy pulled out his phone and looked at it. Then he smiled.

Tiana, his friend, had made a new post. It was a brand new drawing that she finished.

Roy noticed the post and the smile on Iggy's face and laughed. "You still haven't told her yet, Iggy?"

Wendy giggled. "He's head over heels in love with her!"

Iggy blushed out of embarrassment after hearing that. He then thought of something. "What about the rest of you?"

Wendy replied, "We haven't found anyone yet." She blinked. "Well, Ludwig has gone on some dates with a few guys and girls." She smiled and looked over at her oldest brother. "I hope you find the right one soon!"

Ludwig smiled at her.

Bowser cleared his throat. "The Koopa Troop will kidnap Peach while you kids head to your castles."

"Hey." Wendy spoke up and looked at her siblings. "Why don't we head to each other's castles instead?"

Roy raised an eyebrow. "Why?"

"I love the water areas, but I'd love a different scenery." Wendy explained.

"I agree!" Lemmy grinned. "I think it'd be fun to look around another world and someone else's castle!"

Roy scoffed. "As long as no one goes through my stuff, I guess it's fine."

The kids left the Great Hall a few minutes later and made their way outside. As they left, they discussed which world to go to instead of their own. Once they agreed on the locations, the kids boarded their airships and made their way to their destinations.

A sixteen-year-old girl named Jasmine was walking home from a pizza place in Brooklyn, New York. As she walked and waved to a few people that she knew, her phone began to ring. She reached into her pocket and took it out, seeing that her mother was calling. After answering the call, Jasmine put her phone to her ear.

"Hi, Mom!" Jasmine said as she adjusted her black glasses.

"Hi, honey! I was just letting you know that Alvin is staying at a friend's house tonight." Her mother replied.

Jasmine chuckled as she thought about her four-year-old cousin.

"I know Alvin's gonna have a great time!" Jasmine said.

After two minutes, Jasmine and her mother got off the phone and she arrived at her house. She went inside and made her way to her room. Once she was there, Jasmine removed her work uniform and put on a blue shirt, jeans, and black shoes. She turned on the tv and looked at her video game consoles. Her eyes landed on her Wii U and she smiled.

"It's been awhile since I've played this." She chuckled. "The Switch kinda replaced it."

After picking a Mario game, Jasmine turned on the console, put the game inside, and began to play.

An hour later, Jasmine turned off her Wii U and tv and stretched. She decided to go to the park to relax and take a few pictures of the area to draw later. After placing her phone back in her pocket, she left her room and walked out of her house.

Before long, Jasmine reached the park and sat on a bench. She pulled out her phone and took photos of some flowers in front of her and a bird in a tree. She smiled as she felt the cool breeze on her face and arms. Out of the corner of her eye, Jasmine saw someone, or something, quickly running by. Her curiosity growing, Jasmine slowly stood up and walked in the direction where it went.

"Was it a lost pet or something?" She thought.

Jasmine eventually found herself in the nearby cave. She then gasped, realizing that the thing that she saw wasn't an animal, but a Toad! This one looked like a child to her. She saw the little Toad disappear and she made her way deeper inside of the cave. Jasmine looked behind some rocks and gasped again. Behind the rocks was a green Warp Pipe.

"It's... it's just like in the games." She whispered. "This can't be real! How is this possible?"

Jasmine leaned in, trying to get a better look. But then, Jasmine screamed as she fell down the pipe. She then fell onto the ground when she was on the other side.

"Ow..."

Jasmine slowly got up and rubbed her head. Once she could focus, she gasped once again, this time in amazement. Jasmine saw many tall mushroom platforms and a few Biddybuds around her. She looked around at her surroundings, pulling out her phone and taking a few pictures.

"This is insane. Am I dreaming?" She said as she put her phone away.

Then, Jasmine stood there frozen in fear as she heard barking coming from her right. She slowly turned her head to see a Chain Chomp. As the Chain Chomp made its way towards her, Jasmine screamed and ran away as fast as she could.

"Ok, I'm not dreaming! I'm not dreaming!"

Jasmine ran past the many mushroom platforms, trying to get away from the enemy as fast as possible. Eventually, she finally lost the Chain Chomp and looked around. She was now in a town with many Toads out and about. Jasmine caught her breath and looked around again. To her right, she saw a large sign that read "Toad Town".

"Oh my gosh..."

A few Toads outside stared at Jasmine while others walked over and greeted her.

A female Toad with brown hair walked over to her and smiled. "Hello!"

Jasmine nervously waved. "H-Hi."

More and more Toads walked over and started to ask so many questions.

Mario and Luigi walked out of their house with smiles on their faces. Today, Daisy was visiting and they were going to hang out at Peach's castle. They were going to have so much fun together! Maybe Peach will bake a cake for them to eat. The thought of eating a delicious cake with sprinkles and strawberries made Mario's stomach growl. As Mario imagined the cake that Peach would bake, Luigi spoke up.

"What's going on over there?"

"Huh?" Mario snapped out of his thoughts and looked towards the middle of Toad Town.

A large crowed gathered around someone.

"I dunno." Mario replied. "Let's check it out."

Mario and Luigi walked away from their house and made their way through Toad Town. As they got closer to the crowd, they saw the Toads staring at and talking to a human girl. She looked to be around sixteen years old. The girl had chestnut skin, brown eyes, long black hair, and wore black glasses, a blue shirt, jeans, and black shoes.

"What's going on, guys?" Luigi asked them.

The girl looked at the Bros. with wide eyes. Then, she squealed.

"Oh my gosh! Mario and Luigi! It's really you!" She giggled. "I'm, like, your biggest fan!"

Mario chuckled. "Thanks! Where did you come from? I don't think we've ever seen you around the Mushroom Kingdom before."

"Well..."

She began to explain everything. They learned that her name was Jasmine and how she went to the park, followed a Toad into a cave, and fell down a Warp Pipe. The little boy walked over and apologized for leaving the Mushroom World, wanting to explore. Jasmine looked around at her surroundings again in amazement.

"Man... I can't believe it. Everything and everyone around me is real!"

Luigi chuckled and said, "It always has been!"

"Huh?" Jasmine raised an eyebrow. "How?"

"Our adventures were known in the real world, but over time, everyone forgot and assumed that they were only fictional." Mario explained. "The others and I have tried hiding the Warp Pipes in the real world so that no one there could accidentally enter and get hurt."

Luigi laughed and added, "We unfortunately failed!"

Most of the Toads eventually walked away and went on to shop or talk with their friends. Mario looked at Jasmine and smiled.

"We can help you find the Warp Pipe back to the real world so you can go home!"

"W-Wait!" Jasmine looked at the brothers. "Can I stay a little longer? At least to look around the Mushroom Kingdom." She begged.

After looking at each other, Mario and Luigi looked back at Jasmine.

"Sure!" Mario said.

"We can even introduce you to Peach and Daisy!" Luigi added. "We were actually on our way to the castle!"

Jasmine gasped and smiled. "Yes! Thank you!"

Jasmine's smile grew as she followed Mario and Luigi. She was actually interacting with them. She was really in the Mushroom Kingdom! It was still unbelievable to her! It was real! They were real!

As they walked, a Bob-Omb fell from the sky and exploded when it hit the ground in front of the castle. The three looked up at the sky and gasped loudly. Bowser's airship was above the kingdom, throwing down Bob-Ombs and Spiny Eggs. They also saw Lemmy's airship flying by. Screaming, the Toads sprinted about the kingdom in search of a suitable hiding spot.

"I knew something didn't feel right today!" Daisy said as she looked out the window.

Daisy grabbed Peach's hand and prepared to run away. Then, two Hammer Bros. entered the castle and grabbed them both.

"Hey! Let us go!" Daisy shouted.

Peach and Daisy screamed at and punched the Hammer Bros., trying to break free. The two minions pulled out some rope and tied the princesses up, throwing them into the airship after. Mario and Luigi tried to get to them, but the airship began to fly away. Luigi then gasped.

"They kidnapped Daisy too?!" He exclaimed.

"Bowser's gonna regret it once she's free." Mario said. He looked at Luigi and Jasmine. "Well, I guess we should lead Jasmine back to the Warp Pipe and then go to Bowser."

"No!" Mario and Luigi blinked, taken aback by Jasmine's protest. "Please, let me help you out! I wanna help you guys save the princesses! Can I do that, and then I can go home?"

Mario and Luigi hesitated for a moment. Then, Luigi smiled.

"I guess that would be ok."

"Yes!" Jasmine cheered.

"But remember, Jasmine," Mario said as he looked at her, "this isn't like the games that you play. The Mushroom World is real and you can really get hurt. Alright?"

Jasmine nodded. "I understand."

After that, the three of them made their way to the nearest Toad House in the kingdom and started their adventure.

"Wow!"

Jasmine looked around at her surroundings in wonder as she followed behind Mario and Luigi. She smiled as a butterfly flitted by her.

"This is incredible!" She thought to herself. "All this time, Mario and his world were real!"

A Goomba yawned as it gradually woke up from it's slumber by a tree. He looked to his left and let out a gasp when he saw them coming. The Goomba stood up and ran towards them. Mario quickly jumped and landed on the Goomba, quickly stopping it. Luigi spotted a Question Block up ahead. He ran and hit the block, finding three Fire Flowers inside.

Luigi grabbed the power-ups and handed one to Mario and the other to Jasmine.

After taking the Fire Flower, Jasmine gasped and said, "Oh wow!"

Her blue shirt was now white and her jeans were a dark blue after touching the Fire Flower. Its warmth spread through her body. Another Goomba ran toward them. Jasmine, feeling the heat surrounding her hands, threw a fireball at the Goomba. The Goomba fell to the ground and groaned in pain.

Jasmine gazed at the fallen enemy. Then, she grinned.

"Alright! I did it!" She cheered.

"Good job!" The Bros. said to her.

The three fought more Goombas and Koopa Troopas through the Mushroom Kingdom. Before long, they arrived in the middle of the land.

Back in the Koopa Kingdom, Bowser sat on his throne and sighed. He tried calling Clawdia to check on her, but she didn't answer. Was she still upset about this? All he wanted to do was take over the Mushroom Kingdom! Was that so wrong?

Bowser let out another sigh. Maybe, when his plan works, he could prove to Clawdia that he just wants the Mushroom Kingdom. Even though Princess Peach is beautiful, kind, smart, sweet...

"Bowser, stop it!" He mumbled. "This is why Clawdia tried to leave you."

He took out his phone again and tapped on Clawdia's name. He put it to his ear and listened as it rang. Sadly, it went to voicemail.

Bowser put his phone away and stared at his feet. What could he do to prove that he doesn't want to marry Peach?

"Lord Bowser!"

Bowser snapped out of his thoughts and looked up when the two Hammer Bros. entered the throne room.

"What is it?"

The second Hammer Bro. replied, "The mission was a success! We've easily kidnapped the princesses!"

Bowser laughed. "Excellent! Good job!" Then, Bowser blinked. "Wait. Princesses?"

"Yes sir! We kidnapped both of the princesses!" The first Hammer Bro. replied.

Bowser's eyes widened and he ran out of the throne room, the two Hammer Bros. following close behind him.

"No! They didn't! Not her!" Bowser thought as he ran faster.

Bowser opened the door to the dungeon and ran inside. There, in the first cell, was Princess Peach. And sitting next to her, much to Bowser's horror, was Princess Daisy.

"BOWSER!" Daisy screamed at him.

Bowser turned to face his two minions, his face red and smoke coming from his nose.

"Why?" He growled. "Why did you kidnap Daisy?!"

The Hammer Bros. began to shake.

"W-We just assumed that you'd want to take over both the Mushroom Kingdom AND Sarasaland!" One Hammer Bro. said.

"Yeah!" The other added. "Th-Then you could rule over multiple lands!"

"I don't want Sarasaland!" Bowser roared. "I never wanted to kidnap Daisy! Especially after..." He shuddered. "The incident."

Daisy chuckled. "I think back to that slap sometimes."

The Hammer Bros. trembled more as they saw how angry their king was. Wanting to avoid Bowser's wrath, they quickly ran out of the dungeon. After a few seconds, Bowser sighed and also left the dungeon.

"I really hope everything works out..."

Chapter Text

"Ouch!" Jasmine cried out after being bitten by a Piranha Plant.

The three were currently underground and Jasmine had just lost her power-up. Oh well. She can always get another one! Luigi threw a fireball at the Piranha Plant, defeating the enemy.

"Are you alright, Jasmine?" Mario asked.

Jasmine smiled. "Yeah. I'm fine."

As they continued walking underground, Mario saw another Question Block. He hit the block and smiled. Inside were 1-Up Mushrooms! They each took a mushroom and ate it.

"It's pretty good!" Jasmine thought to herself.

They fought more Koopa Troopas until they spotted a green Warp Pipe. Luigi and Jasmine followed Mario as he ran towards it. One by one they jumped up and went through it. When they made it out on the other side, they saw that they were back on the surface. A Koopa Troopa noticed them and ran in their direction. Luigi stomped on it and kicked the Koopa's shell into a nearby Goomba.

Jasmine grinned to herself as the three of them walked through the grassy area. Seriously! This place was gorgeous! The bright blue sky, the colorful flowers and mushroom platforms, the sweet Toads. The Mushroom Kingdom was just amazing!

"Jasmine, look out!" Luigi called out.

"Huh?" Jasmine snapped out of her thoughts and her eyes widened. A hammer was heading toward her. "Ah!" Jasmine quickly ducked out of the way.

Mario and Luigi avoided more hammers. Mario threw a fireball at the Hammer Bro. on the ground, defeating him. He jumped onto the brick blocks and hit a brick block that the second Hammer Bro. stood on top of. The Hammer Bro. cried out in pain as he fell. Jasmine saw another Question Block as they walked and hit it.

When Jasmine hit the block, she gasped. Inside were three Yoshi eggs! She smiled brightly as three Yoshis popped out of the eggs. Jasmine really wanted to squeal, but she remained calm. The three each rode their own Yoshi around the land. They fed their Yoshis fruit as they made their way through the area, getting power-ups along the way.

Jasmine smiled as she got lost in her thoughts again. "This is so cool!"

A Fire Piranha Plant spat out fireballs at them. Luckily, Jasmine's Yoshi ate the fireball and spat it back at the enemy, stopping it.

Jasmine smiled as she patted her Yoshi's head. "Good job, Yoshi!"

Luigi's Yoshi flutter jumped onto some brick blocks and stomped on a Koopa Paratroopa. Once the Paratroopa lost its wings and became a normal Koopa, the Yoshi ate the Koopa and spat out the shell. The shell then knocked down a Goomba and some Hammer Bros. Another Hammer Bro. threw a hammer at Mario's Yoshi, hitting it. The Yoshi dropped Mario and ran away.

Mario got to his feet, hit another Question Block, and found another Yoshi egg inside. Once the Yoshi hatched, Mario hopped onto the Yoshi's back.

Mario looked at Jasmine and Luigi. "Alright! We're almost at the tower!" He faced forward. "Let's go!"

After nodding, Luigi and Jasmine followed Mario to the tower.

Chapter Text

Finally, Mario, Luigi, and Jasmine reached the tower after battling more Goombas and Koopa Troopas. They got off of their Yoshis and walked toward the front doors.

"Ready?" Mario asked them.

Luigi and Jasmine nodded.

The Yoshis waved goodbye as they watched Mario open the doors and the three of them walk inside. When they made it inside the tower, Jasmine immediately saw a rising brown platform.

Mario looked at Jasmine and said, "Be careful, ok?"

Jasmine nodded and followed the brothers to the platform. They quickly jumped on it and Mario hit the Question Block above his head. They found three Ice Flowers inside and each took one. Jasmine smiled as her shirt turned light blue and her pants dark blue. They jumped onto another platform where a Dry Bones was standing. Mario threw an ice ball at the enemy, freezing it in a block of ice.

He then picked it up and threw it against the wall, defeating the enemy. Jasmine did her best to keep up with the Bros. as they went through the tower.

After fighting more Dry Bones and Koopa Troopas, they finally arrived at the top of the tower. They walked closer to the big door and Mario pushed it open. They found Lemmy waiting for them when they walked in the room. Lemmy looked up and gasped when his eyes landed on Mario and Luigi, but when he saw Jasmine, he raised an eyebrow.

"Who are you?" He wondered. Before Jasmine could respond, Lemmy shrugged and said, "Eh, whatever. Let's get this fight going!"

Lemmy took out his wand and hopped onto his ball. He then shot yellow circus balls at them. Mario and Luigi were hit by them really hard and lost their ice powers. Mario avoided another ball and jumped on Lemmy's head.

"Ow!" Lemmy cried out as he fell off of his ball.

Lemmy hid inside of his shell and began to spin around the platform. Jasmine was hit by Lemmy's shell and lost her ice powers also. Once Lemmy stopped spinning, Luigi jumped on his head before he could hop back onto his ball. As they dodged his shell again, Mario took out a Propeller Mushroom, Luigi took out a Fire Flower, and Jasmine took out a Boomerang Flower. Lemmy stopped spinning, popped out of his shell, and hopped onto his circus ball.

Jasmine, Mario, and Luigi dodged more of Lemmy's circus balls.

Jasmine looked down at her suit. "Maybe..."

She took a deep breath and threw a boomerang at the smallest Koopaling. Lemmy screamed as he fell off of his ball, finally defeated.

"Alright! I did it!" Jasmine cheered.

"Good job, Jasmine!" Luigi said.

Mario smiled. "Yeah!"

Lemmy groaned as he slowly got up. The three watched him as he pulled out his phone. Then, they looked at him puzzled as Lemmy took a picture of Jasmine. What was that about?

Before they could react, Lemmy put his phone and wand back inside of his shell and left the tower.

"...Why did he take my picture?" Jasmine whispered.

Mario then spoke up. "Let's get going. Lemmy's on his way to the castle!"

"Right!" Luigi said.

Jasmine looked at them both. "Alright."

Mario, Luigi, and Jasmine then made their way out of the tower, trying to catch up with Lemmy.

Chapter Text

Lemmy sprinted as fast as he could through the Mushroom Kingdom. While running, his mind was on the girl with the Mario Bros. Who was she? Why was she with Mario and Luigi? Where did she come from?

Eventually, Lemmy arrived at the castle in the area and ran inside. The smallest Koopaling made his way upstairs and pushed open the big door. After walking inside and shutting the door, Lemmy caught his breath and took out his phone. He scrolled through it for a moment before finding the right app to video call his family. After clicking on each person's name, Lemmy hit the call button.

A minute later, Bowser, Junior, and the rest of the Koopalings answered Lemmy's call.

"What is it, Lemmy?" Bowser asked.

Lemmy replied, "I'm in the castle now." He scratched his head. "And, I found out something interesting."

"What's that?" Morton wondered.

"There's a girl helping the plumbers!" Lemmy said.

Bowser blinked. "A girl? What does she look like?"

"Hang on..."

Everyone in the call looked at the photo after receiving it.

Roy smirked. "Hey! She looks hot!"

His remark made the rest of his siblings roll their eyes.

"She does look pretty..." Ludwig thought. He took a closer look at the picture. "Hm. She looks... familiar."

"Her name is Jasmine." Lemmy said.

Ludwig whispered her name. "jasmine..." Something about her was so familiar to him. But, what was it?

Bowser sighed and said to them, "You kids just keep trying to stop those three."

The kids groaned, but they listened to their father. They then hung up and Lemmy put his phone back inside of his shell.

"Hmm... what should I do while I wait?" Lemmy looked up at the ceiling as he thought to himself. Then, he smiled. "I know! I can practice my circus tricks!"

Giggling, Lemmy hopped onto his circus ball and took out a few smaller balls to juggle.

Back with the heroes, Jasmine and the Marios Bros. stopped at a Toad House to buy some more power-ups and 1-Up Mushrooms. After eating a 1-Up Mushroom, they left the Toad House and continued their journey. The three talked as they fought more Goombas.

Jasmine smiled and said, "The Mushroom Kingdom looks even better in person than it does in the games!"

Mario chuckled. "The kingdoms that we visited are amazing!"

"Y'know, I'd rather stay in the Mushroom World than the real world!"

Mario and Luigi stopped in their tracks after hearing that. The brothers looked at each other, their brows furrowed and their muscles tightened.

Luigi was the first to respond. "You do have to go back home, Jasmine. What about your family?"

Jasmine's smile vanished. "Oh yeah. You're right. If I don't head back home soon, my parents will be really worried about me."

Mario then gave Jasmine a smile. "You can still visit the Mushroom Kingdom since you did find one of the Warp Pipes." He chuckled. "And maybe someday, you'll be able to live here!"

Jasmine's smile returned after Mario said that. They're right. She couldn't stay here, and she doubted that her family would move here even if she asked. But, at least she could come back anytime she wanted. She followed Mario and Luigi, feeling more excited about their adventure.

After fighting more of Bowser's minions, Jasmine and the Bros. made it to the castle. They gasped when they entered. Along with the lava, there were Cogs, Thwomps, and Big Thwomps. Luigi held out his hand to Jasmine.

"Jasmine, hold my hand so you don't accidentally fall into the lava or get crushed."

Jasmine nodded and took his hand. Mario stomped on a Dry Bones and they ran past it before the enemy could put itself back together. They jumped over to the next platform so they wouldn't fall into the lava. Another Dry Bones walked toward them, but Luigi stomped on it. As they walked away, they saw a red Warp Pipe near a wall.

After stomping on a Goomba, Mario led them to the Warp Pipe and they jumped down through it. On the other side, they saw a few Cogs. They did their best to avoid getting crushed by the Cogs and made their way to the higher platform. A Dry Bones and Mega Dry Bones spotted them and walked toward the group. Luigi stomped on the normal Dry Bones while Mario jumped up and ground pounded on the Mega Dry Bones.

They fought a group of Koopa Troopas and made their way down another pipe before reaching a red door. Lemmy was waiting for them once again when they went into the room.

Lemmy frowned when he saw them. "Aw! I wanted to keep practicing my new tricks!"

Sighing, Lemmy hopped back onto his ball and took out his wand. He waved his wand and shot bombs at them. Unfortunately, all three of them were hit and lost their powers. While avoiding another bomb, they each took out a power-up. Mario took out a P-Acorn and flew into the air.

He landed on Lemmy's head, making the Koopaling fall off of his rubber ball and retreat into his shell. Luigi was hit by Lemmy's shell, immediately losing his Ice Flower. Once Lemmy stopped spinning and was back on his ball, Luigi took out a Propeller Mushroom. He avoided another bomb and flew into the air. Just like his brother, Luigi landed on Lemmy's head, making him scream and hide in his shell again.

Lemmy's shell nearly hit Jasmine, but Mario managed to pull her away in time. When Lemmy stopped spinning and got back onto his ball, Jasmine gasped. The bombs were now bigger than before! She was hit by one and sadly lost her Tanooki Suit.

"What else do I have?"

Jasmine reached into her pocket and pulled out a Super Acorn. Smiling, Jasmine used the power-up. After avoiding another one of Lemmy's bombs, Jasmine glided into the air and landed on Lemmy's head. The three cheered now that Lemmy was stopped again. They then left the castle and made their way to the next world.

Chapter Text

After leaving the castle, Jasmine and the Mario Bros. arrived in Desert World.

"Wow! This place looks great!" Jasmine exclaimed.

Mario and Luigi rolled up their sleeves and fanned themselves with their hats as they felt the heat from the sun. Jasmine looked around the new area. There was so much sand in this world! Jasmine chuckled to herself. It was a desert after all. She also saw some pyramids and palm trees nearby.

A few Goombas attempted to attack Mario and Luigi, but they were stomped on before they could. Then, they spotted two Boomerang Bros. resting by a palm tree. One of the Boomerang Bros. opened his eyes and gasped. He looked at his partner and shook him.

"Dude! Get up!" He exclaimed.

Gradually, the other Boomerang Bro. opened his eyes. He gasped and his eyes widened as the other pointed at the heroes. Both enemies got to their feet and threw boomerangs at them. Luigi was hit by a boomerang and lost his power-up. He dodged another one and jumped on the Boomerang Bro.'s head, stopping him. Mario, still having his power-up, flew into the air and landed on the second Boomerang Bro.'s head, defeating him.

Once both enemies were on the ground, they continued on their way through the area. A few minutes later while walking, the three gasped. While getting closer to a green pipe, a Piranha Plant stuck its head out of it. Jasmine nearly got bitten by the Piranha Plant when it attempted to bite them. Fortunately, she was pulled out of the way by Mario and Luigi just in time. Mario took out a Fire Flower and threw a fireball at the enemy, defeating it.

Jasmine smiled. "Great job, Mario!"

"Hehe! Thanks!" Mario replied.

The three went on their way after that.

Two Koopa Paratroopas were flying near a few blocks. When they saw Mario and Luigi sprinting in their direction, their eyes widened. Before they could even react, Luigi and Mario jumped on their heads, getting rid of their wings. The brothers stomped on their heads again, picked up their red and green shells, and threw them into a bottomless pit. Sand geysers emerged in the pit and the three jumped across, getting to the other side of Desert World.

A Spike stood on top of a higher platform, looking around. His eyes landed on the three and he threw a spiked ball at them.

"Look out!" Mario yelled.

They leaped over the spiked ball and Mario hurled a fireball at the enemy. Once the Spike fell, they jumped onto the higher platform and continued walking through the area. Two Spinies ran towards them, but Mario threw two fireballs at them. The two enemies were quickly stopped before getting a chance to attack. A Lakitu flew over them and threw down a Spiny Egg.

"Ouch!" Luigi was hit in the head by the Spiny Egg and shrank.

Mario jumped on top of a palm tree. He jumped again and landed on the Lakitu's head. After the Lakitu fell, Mario smiled and hopped onto the Lakitu's empty cloud. He flew through the area with Luigi and Jasmine following him on the ground. Luigi spotted a Question Block and punched it. He grinned, finding a mushroom inside.

Luigi ate the mushroom and smiled when he returned to his normal size. His smile widened when he looked ahead.

"Hey, look!" Luigi pointed towards a tall building. "We're getting close to the tower!"

"Oh, you're right!" Jasmine replied.

The group fought more Koopa Troopas as they made their way towards it.

Chapter Text

As soon as the group emerged from the pipe, they saw two more Lakitus. Both Koopas threw down Spiny Eggs, trying to hit them. Before they could get hit in the head, the three ducked away from the Spiny Eggs. When the eggs hit the ground, they transformed into Spinies. Reaching inside his pocket, Luigi pulled out an Ice Flower. Jumping on top of a palm tree, he threw ice balls at both Lakitus, freezing them.

He jumped down and followed the others before the Lakitus could break out of the ice. A Piranha Plant tried to bite Mario, but Luigi threw another ice ball, trapping the enemy inside a block of ice.

"Thanks, Lou." Mario said.

They went through another Warp Pipe and were finally in front of the tower.

Luigi let out a breath. "Well, let's go on inside."

Mario walked closer and opened the doors.

Upon entering the tower, they saw metallic fences that they needed to climb. Mario and Luigi rushed over to them, Jasmine slowly following them.

"Oh man. I hope I can do this..."

Walking over to the fences, Jasmine clung to them. Praying that she doesn't slow the brothers down, she did her best to climb up the fences.

"You can do this, Jaz." She thought to herself. "Just try to keep up with them."

Eventually, they reached the top platform. There were a few spikes on the platform, so they jumped over them. Jasmine held her breath as she did and let it out after landing next to the final spike. Then, ahead, they spotted two Dry Bones. Mario ran and, after stomping on both, they ran away before the enemies could get back up.

Jasmine and the brothers jumped on more Dry Bones until they saw a door. Luigi opened it and the three walked through. Jasmine looked around at the new area of the tower.

She frowned and whispered, "Great. More fences."

Jasmine sighed as she followed Mario and Luigi. She clung onto the fence and did her best to stay close to the Bros. They then stood on another platform. Up ahead was a Dry Bones and a Big Dry Bones. As they approached, the normal Dry Bones noticed them and threw a bone. Jasmine was hit by it.

Mario reached into his pocket and took out an Ice Flower.

"Here!" Mario tossed the power-up to Jasmine.

Jasmine quickly caught it. "Thanks, Mario!"

Now having ice powers, Jasmine froze the Dry Bones before it could throw another bone at her. Luigi ran toward the Big Dry Bones. He jumped into the air and ground pounded on it. The three ran past the broken enemy. Then, Jasmine gasped.

"There's a red pipe over there!" Jasmine said as she pointed ahead. "Will that take us to the top?"

Mario grinned. "It's worth a try!"

The group ran into more Dry Bones and jumped on their heads as they made their way to the Warp Pipe.

After stomping on the last Dry Bones, they finally made it to the red Warp Pipe.

Mario looked at them and said, "Well, let's try it."

Mario went down the Warp Pipe, followed by Luigi and Jasmine. When they made it out on the other side, they saw even more metallic fences. Jasmine internally groaned as she climbed with Mario and Luigi.

"This is so much easier in the games! How many fences does this stupid tower have!?"

Jasmine relaxed when they stood on another platform. They stomped on two more Dry Bones and finally arrived at a big red door. Jasmine sighed. Finally! No more fences! After Mario opened the door, she followed him and Luigi inside.

When they walked inside the room, Morton was cleaning off his wand. He smiled as he put the cloth away. When he looked up and saw them, his eyes widened. The three were stunned and couldn't move when Morton ground pounded the floor. Morton used his wand and shot magenta energy blasts out at them. Mario was hit in the chest with one and lost his power-up.

As Morton shot out another energy blast, Jasmine threw a few ice balls. The final ice ball extinguished the energy blast before it could hit one of them. Morton did another ground pound, but the others jumped so they wouldn't get stunned this time. Luigi then landed on Morton's head.

"Ouch!" Morton cried out in pain and retreated into his shell.

He spun around the room, trying to hit them with his shell. Luigi got hit and lost his power-up. As they jumped over him, Mario and Luigi both took out Fire Flowers. Once Morton popped out of his shell, he did another ground pound. When he saw that they jumped again, Morton frowned.

"Why won't they just stay still...?" He grumbled.

Mario jumped and landed on Morton's head, making him retreat into his shell again. Jasmine was almost hit by it, but she jumped over it and ran out of the way. Morton eventually stopped spinning and popped out of his shell. He ground pounded the floor once again, but no one was stunned like the first time. He shot more energy blasts at them, but they avoided them.

Jasmine took a deep breath and whispered to herself, "Ok. I got this!"

She ran towards Morton as he prepared to use his wand again. After jumping into the air, Jasmine landed on Morton's head. Morton groaned as he fell to the floor, finally defeated.

Jasmine smiled. "I did it!" She cheered. "I beat Morton!"

Morton shook his head and slowly stood up. Turning around, he made his way out of the tower. Mario and the others left the tower also. When they made it back outside, they saw Morton running in the distance.

"Dang. How fast are these Koopas?" Jasmine wondered.

Mario looked at them and said, "We should hurry."

Luigi and Jasmine nodded and followed after Mario.

Chapter Text

"Ugh... finally." Morton groaned as he finally reached the top of the castle.

He opened the door to the top room and walked inside. Morton sat down and rubbed his head, still in some pain from the fight. He reached into his shell and pulled out his phone. He went to his messages and sighed as he sent a text to his siblings and father.

"I'm in the castle now." He said.

Roy replied back, "Ya got this!"

Morton smiled at his twin's message. He sent another message saying, "I'll do my best!"

After that, Morton put his phone away and rubbed his head again. Seriously, those stomps to the head were horrible! Hopefully this time he'll have better luck and stop them.

As they walked through Desert World, the group encountered more Lakitus and Koopa Troopas. After facing Morton, Jasmine was feeling more confident. They could do this! They would beat the Koopa Troop and save the princesses! And then, Jasmine could go back home!

That final thought caused her smile to fade a little. Jasmine looked around at the sand and palm trees. She knew she could return and visit again, but she was still going to miss this place.

"I gotta focus on the adventure." Jasmine thought to herself.

A Spike Top walked over to them after walking off of a green Warp Pipe. Jasmine threw an ice ball at it, freezing it. Luigi ran over to it and picked up the frozen enemy. He threw it against the pipe, defeating the enemy. The three went down the pipe and arrived in an area underground.

As they walked, a few Koopa Troopas were walking around nearby. Once noticed them and ran in their direction. Jasmine threw another ice ball and froze the Koopa. Mario then picked it up and threw it at the other Koopas. Once they were knocked down, the group walked past them and hit more blocks, finding coins and Super Mushrooms.

After finding more coins, they spotted another Warp Pipe up ahead. They ran over to it and jumped down into the pipe. When they made it out, they were back on the surface. The wind blew, forcefully blowing them forward. The wind eventually stopped and they jumped over a bottomless pit, making it to the other side. A Koopa Troopa tried to hit Luigi, but Jasmine jumped on its head and kicked the shell away.

A Piranha Plant emerged from a pipe and tried to bite them. Still having ice powers, Jasmine threw an ice ball at the enemy and froze it. Luigi took Jasmine's hand and helped her jump over the frozen Piranha Plant. On the other side of that pipe was another green pipe. Thankfully, this one didn't have a Piranha Plant inside. After jumping down the pipe, the three saw a Pokey when they made it out on the other side.

Mario gradually defeated the enemy by hurling fireballs at each section. When he was finished, they continued on their way. They then saw another Pokey near a few blocks.

Luigi smiled and said, "I got this!"

He ran and jumped onto the blocks. As the Pokey got a little closer, Luigi hurled a fireball at its head. The Pokey fell apart and Luigi jumped down from the blocks.

Mario pointed up ahead. "Oh, look! We're almost at the castle!"

After fighting two Hammer Bros., they decided to stop at a Toad House to buy some more power-ups.

Once they were ready, the three walked out of the Toad House and arrived at a new area in Desert World. Here, they had to ride on a pink block with white spots.

Jasmine squirmed. "I dunno about this..."

Mario gave her a smile. "Don't worry, Jasmine. Everything is going to be fine."

"Yeah! We'll be with you the whole time!" Luigi added.

"Ok." Jasmine took a deep breath. "Alright. I'm ready."

As they jumped onto the big block, Jasmine made sure to stay close to the brothers. As they rode through the area, Jasmine did her best to help fight the Koopa Paratroopas and Piranha Plants that they saw. She almost slipped off after jumping, but Mario grabbed her hand and helped her. A Flame Chomp then came towards them. The enemy threw a fireball at Mario, making him lose his power-up. Before it could attack again, Luigi stomped on the Flame Chomp.

They came across some Question Blocks and Mario hit one. He smiled when he saw the Propeller Mushroom that was inside. Now wearing the Propeller Suit, Mario flew into the air and landed on a Koopa Paratroopa's head. Now a normal Koopa, it tried to attack Jasmine, but Luigi quickly stomped on the Koopa's head and kicked the shell off of the block. They looked up and saw a few pipes above them, some with Piranha Plants that tried to bite them.

"Ow!" Jasmine cried out after getting bitten by a Piranha Plant.

She frowned a little, realizing that she lost her power-up.

They saw a few blocks coming up and Jasmine kept her eyes on them. When they got closer, she hit the single Question Block and found a Fire Flower inside.

Jasmine grinned after grabbing the power-up. "Yes!"

They entered an area with bouncy clouds after jumping up into a Warp Pipe. This place looked like so much fun! It made Jasmine smile. Especially since they didn't have to ride the big block for the moment! Sadly, after grabbing some coins, they went down another Warp Pipe and were back on the pink block.

"It was nice while it lasted..." Jasmine mumbled.

The group continued on their way through the area. They fought more Paratroopas, Flame Chomps, and other enemies. Then, much to Jasmine's delight, they made it to the end and jumped off of the block.

"Oh my gosh! Finally!" exclaimed Jasmine. "Man. That made me so nervous!"

Mario laughed. "We told you everything would be fine!"

After fighting more Koopa Troopas, they finally arrived in front of the castle.

When the three walked inside of the castle, they saw stone blocks that moved back and forth constantly. The sight made Jasmine tremble. She took another deep breath, trying to relax. She stuck close to Mario and Luigi, doing her best to not get crushed by the stone blocks. They came across some blocks and punched them. Inside them were Mini Mushrooms. After eating them, Jasmine gasped when they shrank.

Jasmine chuckled. "Wow! Everything's so big now!"

The three ran as fast as they could and climbed up a wall. They went through a small green Warp Pipe and arrived in a hidden area filled with coins. Jasmine helped the Bros. grab a lot of them. When they had enough, they went down another pipe and returned to the main room of the castle. After dodging lava bubbles, they found Question Blocks and hit them.

Jasmine grinned when they found Fire Flowers inside the block. They each grabbed one and returned to their normal sizes. A Dry Bones and a Big Dry Bones walked towards them when they landed on another platform. Luigi stomped on the Dry Bones while Mario ground pounded on the big Dry Bones. They then went through a red Warp Pipe and arrived in another part of the castle.

After avoiding a lava bubble, they jumped across the platform they were standing on to the one across from it. A Koopa Troopa saw the trio and ran towards them. Jasmine quickly stomped on the Koopa's head and kicked the shell into the lava. Mario and Luigi threw fireballs at two Goombas and some Piranha Plants. After going through another pipe, they arrived at the red doors at the top of the castle.

Mario pushed the doors open and the others followed him inside. They saw Morton sitting there, waiting for them. He slowly stood and ground pounded the floor before the others could react. A Big Pokey appeared when the others were able to move again. The trio gasped when they saw Morton pull out a big magic hammer. He then hit the segments of the Pokey at them.

They jumped over each one, avoiding getting hit. Mario ran over to the Koopaling and jumped on his head, making him scream. Morton retreated into his shell and spun around the room. When he was finished, he ground pounded the floor again, making another Big Pokey appear. Morton used his hammer again to hit the segments of the enemy. One flew into the air and hit Jasmine.

"Ow..." Jasmine groaned as she rubbed her head.

Morton jumped over to them, but Mario threw fireballs at him. Morton hid inside of his shell again and spun around the room. Once he was finished, he popped out of his shell and did another ground pound, making one more Big Pokey appear. Mario and Luigi were almost hit by the Pokey's segments, but they got out of the way in time. Jasmine ran towards Morton, jumped into the air, and landed on his head.

Finally beaten, Morton groaned and fell to the floor.

"Good job, Jasmine!" Mario and Luigi cheered.

Jasmine chuckled. "Thanks!"

She then followed the Bros. out of the castle and to the next world.

Chapter Text

"WHAT?! What do you mean they're almost at Frozen World?!" Bowser shouted at the Koopa Troopa in front of him.

The Koopa Troopa trembled and began to sweat. "U-Um..."

Bowser snarled. Although she still needed more practice, Jasmine seemed to be getting good at fighting his minions and children. As he took a deep breath, the Koopa Troopa hurried out of the throne room.

Bowser said to himself, "It's gonna be fine. I'm gonna win this time."

The three of them quickly left Desert World and arrived in Frozen World. Mario, Luigi, and Jasmine shivered as they felt the cool breeze and walked through the snow. They were glad to be out of the hot desert, but the chilly air and snow weren't any better. Then, Jasmine gasped. They saw a Cooligan sliding on its stomach and heading their way. Mario jumped on the enemy twice, defeating it.

The trio then ran into two Ice Bros. Their ice balls nearly hit Mario, but he ducked and jumped on the Ice Bro. standing on the ground. Luigi jumped onto the blocks and avoided getting hit by the second Ice Bro. He jumped onto the Ice Bro.'s head after dodging another ice ball. Luigi then followed Mario and Jasmine after jumping off of the blocks.

They walked off of the snow and were now on a patch of ice. Jasmine took two steps and began to slip.

"Whoa!"

Luigi grabbed Jasmine's hand before she could fall.

"Are you ok?" He asked.

Jasmine nodded. "Yeah. Thanks."

They tried not to fall as they made their way across the ice. Then, they came across a pipe with a Piranha Plant inside. The plant then went back down the pipe. Before it could come back out, the three jumped over the pipe to get to the other side. They ran into a Koopa Troopa and Paratroopa, but the Bros. quickly stopped them. A Bill Blaster up ahead then shot out Bullet Bills.

Mario and Jasmine were hit by a Bullet Bill, but Luigi dodged the others. They avoided more as they ran through the snow. Eventually, they made it to the Bill Blaster and jumped over it. They then found a Question Block. Mario punched the block and found three power-ups inside.

Mario took the Fire Flower, Luigi grabbed the Ice Flower, and Jasmine had the Propeller Mushroom. Jasmine smiled as she looked down at her blue Propeller Suit. Using her power-up, she spun and flew into the air.

"Ok, THIS might be my new favorite power-up!" She said as she slowly floated back down. Jasmine then chuckled. "Even if I am a little dizzy!"

Mario looked to his left and saw another pipe. "Let's try that one!"

Luigi and Jasmine went down the Warp Pipe after Mario. On the other side, they were underground and standing on more ice. A Piranha Plant tried to bite Mario, but Luigi threw an ice ball at it. The three jumped over the frozen enemy and Mario jumped on a nearby Goomba. Two Ice Bros. were up ahead, one on the ice while the other was on some brick blocks.

Luigi froze the first Ice Bro. after throwing his own ice ball at it. Mario jumped onto the blocks and avoided the other Ice Bro.'s attack. Mario threw a fireball at the enemy, hitting him in the chest and knocking him down. Another Ice Bro. threw an ice ball as they got closer and almost hit Jasmine. She quickly jumped over it before it could hit her.

Then, before the Ice Bro. could toss another ice ball at them, Jasmine flew into the air and landed on his head. She spun downward and landed back on the ground.

"Whoa..." Jasmine held her head, the area spinning. "Maybe I shouldn't do that so fast... or at all."

While underground, the three fought more Goombas and Ice Bros. After stomping on another Ice Bro., Mario smiled.

"Look!" He pointed toward the wall. "There's another pipe! I think that'll take us back to the surface!"

"And hopefully it's not on an icy platform." Jasmine chuckled nervously. "I don't wanna slip and fall on my face."

Jasmine followed Mario and Luigi to the pipe. When they got to it, they jumped down one by one. Jasmine smiled as she saw that Mario was right. They were back above the ground. They immediately saw two more Ice Bros., but Mario threw fireballs at them. After going through another pipe, the three saw a Ghost House nearby.

Mario looked at Luigi and Jasmine. "Are you two ready?"

Luigi hesitated at first, but he and Jasmine nodded. The two followed Mario to the Ghost House after stomping on one more Ice Bro. Mario opened the door when he got to it and walked inside.

Chapter Text

Mario, Luigi, and Jasmine looked around as they entered the Ghost House. Luigi shivered as he took a few steps forward. He noticed a door nearby and approached it.

"I wonder what room this leads to."

Luigi put his hand on the doorknob and tried to open it, but the door disappeared. They also heard the sound of Boos laughing. As they walked through the room, Jasmine made sure to stay close to Mario and Luigi. While their backs were turned, a Boo laughed as he flew towards them. The three quickly turned around, making the Boo cover its eyes. They turned back around and walked away as fast as possible.

Mario saw another door and walked over to it. He turned the knob and smiled. It was a real door! They walked in the door and were now in a new room. The trio avoided more Boos as they walked up the stairs. Mario grumbled when he found another fake door.

Fortunately, they found the correct door. Luigi saw that it was hidden behind the wall.

Jasmine smiled and whispered, "Wow! That's so cool!"

The three walked through the door and arrived in a room with poles and Boos. After inhaling deeply, Jasmine trailed behind the Bros.

"Please don't fall! Please don't fall!" Jasmine thought.

She clung to the pole and followed Luigi and Mario. They continued climbing the poles and got past more Boos in the room. Pretty soon, they made it to a platform where a door was close by. Mario approached it and turned the handle. When they walked through the door, they were back outside.

Luigi let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness! I hate those ghost houses!"

They looked ahead and saw the tower, along with Larry's airship. The trio walked away from the Ghost House and went inside a Toad House.

The three fought more of Bowser's minions after leaving the Toad House. An Ice Bro. threw an ice ball at Mario, but he jumped over it. Mario then jumped on the Ice Bro.'s head, knocking him down. Two Goombas tried to attack Luigi and Jasmine, but they stomped on them before they had the chance. After going down a Warp Pipe, they were at the front door of the tower.

Once they were inside, they jumped onto the brightly colored rotating blocks and climbed to the higher platforms. They spotted an Amp, but Luigi froze it before the enemy could shock anyone. As they walked past the frozen enemy, they saw a Spinner. Mario turned around and looked at Jasmine.

"Jasmine, stay close to me." He said.

She nodded and held onto Mario as they avoided being hit by the Spinner's spikes. They then jumped onto another platform. Jasmine cringed as she saw Luigi getting shocked by an Amp. They avoided the enemy and climbed higher up the tower. Luigi found a Question Block and hit it, grabbing the Boomerang Flower that was inside.

They stomped on more Koopa Troopas until they made it to the final door at the top of the tower. The three of them entered once Mario opened the door. They noticed Larry sitting on the floor, playing a game on his Nintendo Switch. The youngest Koopaling grumbled as he pressed the buttons on his game.

"Come on, come on... YES!" Larry cheered. He blinked when he heard someone chuckling. Larry looked up and frowned when he saw the Bros. and Jasmine in the room. "Aw man! You guys made it?" He put his Switch away, picked up his wand, and got to his feet. He sighed and said, "Let's get this over with."

Larry prepared to attack, but Luigi threw a few boomerangs at him.

"Ouch!" Larry retreated into his shell.

Jasmine jumped over Larry's shell as he tried to hit them. Mario nearly got hit by his shell, but the red-clad plumber jumped out of the way at the last second. Once he was finished, Larry used his wand and shot energy blasts at them. Jasmine avoided his attacks and jumped on his head.

Larry hid inside of his shell again and whirled around the room. Larry struck Mario, causing him to lose his power-up. After spinning, Larry popped out of his shell and spat out fireballs at them. Jasmine was almost hit by a fireball, but she ducked out of the way. Mario dodged Larry's energy blasts and ran towards him. He jumped an landed on Larry's head, finally stopping him.

The group cheered as Larry lay on the ground, groaning in pain. He slowly stood up and rubbed his head.

"Man, that hurt..." He mumbled.

After shaking his head, Larry quickly made his way out of the tower. The others followed him, trying to keep up with the Koopaling.

Chapter Text

The trio encountered some Koopa Paratroopas as soon as they left the tower. They were turned into regular Koopa Troopas after Mario and Luigi jumped on their heads. The brothers jumped on them again and kicked their shells away. When they walked away from where the two Koopas once stood, a line of Cooligans slid over to them. The Cooligans were quickly stopped after Mario and Luigi stomped on them. After that, they continued on their way.

They found a Warp Pipe and the three leaped into it. When they climbed out of the second pipe, they were in another underground area. Two Goombas ran over to them, but Mario and Luigi jumped on them. They walked away, but ran into two Fire Bros. The Fire Bros. threw fireballs at them, but the trio dodged them all. Mario jumped on one Fire Bro. while Luigi jumped on the other.

Once the Fire Bros. were stopped, the three saw another Warp Pipe nearby. They jumped up and climbed through the pipe after making their way over to it. On the other side, they were back on the surface. A Koopa Troopa saw the three and flew over to them. The enemy started aiming for Jasmine. Before it could hit her, Mario jumped onto its head.

Luigi stomped on the enemy when it was on the ground, picked up its shell, and threw it into a pit. The trio then jumped onto a rotating pink block and rode through the area. Mario stomped on a Paratroopa while Jasmine stomped on a Paragoomba that flew towards them. Luigi was almost hit by another Paragoomba, but he jumped over it. Jasmine jumped on a Paratroopa that tried to attack her.

"How many of these guys are there?" Jasmine wondered.

Mario replied, "I'm not sure." He stomped on another Paragoomba. "There shouldn't be too many more up here." He stomped on the Goomba and another Koopa.

Jasmine tried to keep her balance while on the block. She sighed as she stomped on another Paragoomba. Hopefully they'll be back on the ground soon.

"Finally!" Jasmine cheered as she jumped off of the block.

After dealing with more Paragoombas and Paratroopas, the three of them eventually made it to the ground. Luigi let out a gasp, then grinned and gestured forward.

"We're nearly there! I can see the castle!"

They came across a block and Mario punched it. He found 1-Up Mushrooms inside and they each ate one. After that, they continued on their journey. More Cooligans slid towards them, but they jumped on the enemies twice to stop them. Jasmine hit a block and found a few coins inside. She hit another one, but only found a single coin.

Jasmine frowned. "Aw. I was hoping there'd be another power-up in that one."

They stomped on more Koopa Troopas as they walked on. Then, Jasmine noticed something coming up.

"Huh?" She followed Mario and Luigi as they got closer. Then, she smiled. It was a red Warp Pipe. "Where does this lead?"

"Hmm." Mario stared at the pipe. "I think it'll take us to the castle."

The three jumped down the Warp Pipe without hesitation. Then, on the other side, they were standing in front of the castle.

Mario pushed open the door to the castle and they walked inside. As they climbed on a moving fence, the three did their best to avoid a Torpedo Ted. They made it to a platform and they jumped onto it. Then, they jumped over a Burner. A Dry Bones walked over to them, but Mario jumped on its head. Luigi and Jasmine quickly followed Mario before the Dry Bones could put itself back together.

The group went through a yellow Warp Pipe and arrived in another area in the castle. A Dry Bones and Big Dry Bones immediately walked over to them. Mario stomped on the normal Dry Bones while Luigi ground pounded on the Big Dry Bones. Jasmine quickly followed them while both Dry Bones were still on the floor. The three got hit by a Torpedo Ted, but they were near another block.

Luigi hit the block and they each got a Fire Flower.

Soon, they made it to the top of the castle. Luigi opened the big door and they walked into the room. Just like before, Larry was sitting down playing a video game.

"Aw, come on!" Larry shouted. "I was so close to beating this stupid boss!"

He sighed and put his Switch back inside his shell. Larry stood up and grinned at the others, making them raise an eyebrow. He pulled out his wand and waved it, making more Torpedo Teds appear. Luigi's eyes widened as one came towards him. Before he could get hit, Mario pulled his brother out of the way in time.

"Phew! Thanks, Mario!" Luigi said.

Mario gave him a thumbs up and looked back at Larry. He saw Jasmine running towards the Koopaling. She jumped and landed on Larry's head, making him hide in his shell. Larry spun around the room, but didn't hit anyone since they dodged him. He then popped out of his shell and made more Torpedo Teds appear. Jasmine was hit by one and lost her fire powers.

Luigi threw fireballs at Larry, making the Koopaling retreat into his shell again. Larry's shell almost hit Mario, but Mario jumped over him. Larry popped out of his shell again and prepared to use his wand. Before he could get the chance, Mario threw more fireballs at him. Larry fell to the floor, defeated once again.

"Woohoo! We did it!" Jasmine cheered.

Jasmine smiled as Mario and Luigi high fived each other. She then followed the Bros. out of the castle and made their way to the next world.

Chapter Text

When the group arrived at Water World, they immediately saw Bowser Jr.'s airship. As much as she wanted to admire the new location, Jasmine followed Mario and Luigi. She'd have to look around when they're finished. They walked over to the rope ladder and climbed up. When they got on board, Mario stomped on a Mechakoopa.

They stayed clear of the moving torches and Mario ground pounded one of the nearby crates. An Ice Flower was inside and Jasmine grabbed it, gaining ice powers. She saw another Mechakoopa and threw an ice ball at the enemy, freezing it. Mario grabbed the block of ice and tossed it into a few crates. The three then entered a section with moving torches on the ceiling. Everyone did their best to avoid getting burned.

Luigi spotted a Bob-Omb and stomped on it. He kicked it away and the Bob-Omb exploded, breaking a few crates. They went through a pipe and arrived in a room with cannons. Some shot out cannonballs while others shot out Bob-Ombs. Mario and Luigi stomped onto a few Bob-Ombs and threw them into some crates, breaking them. They avoided the cannonballs and went through another pipe.

On the other side, they found Bowser Jr. waiting for them.

Jasmine gasped and said, "Oh my gosh! He's so cute!"

Junior grumbled. "I'm not cute! Don't call me cute! You're supposed to fear me!"

Jasmine's giggle only made him more annoyed. The little Koopa jumped into his Junior Clown Car. Mario looked around and his eyes landed on a few Propeller Blocks.

Mario turned to Luigi and Jasmine. He pointed to the Propeller Blocks and said, "Grab one of those!"

After grabbing their own Propeller Blocks, Mario used his to fly into the air and landed on Bowser Jr.'s head. Junior spat fireballs at them, but they ran out of the way. Jasmine used her block to fly and also landed on Junior's head. Once she landed on the floor, Junior spat out more fireballs. Bowser Jr. was finally defeated when Luigi flung his Propeller Block at his head.

Jasmine chuckled. "Wow! That actually worked!"

As the three cheered, Kamek appeared, carrying Junior. After kicking the heroes out of the airship, they flew away.

Jasmine smiled as she looked around Water World. This place was gorgeous! It was an archipelago of small tropical islands. The islands were also connected by bridges. The water was beautiful, each grain of sand caught the sunlight, it was amazing!

As they walked through Water World, they fought more Koopa Troopas. The three eventually arrived at a body of water. Before entering the water, Mario turned to face Jasmine.

"Do you know how to swim, Jasmine?" He asked her.

"Yes!" Jasmine replied.

Mario grinned. "Great!"

Taking a deep breath, the trio dived into the water. Jasmine looked around and smiled at everything she saw. Along with the pipes, she saw many different sea creatures like Bloopers and Cheep Cheeps. As she swam, Jasmine saw something swimming nearby.

"Huh?"

Out of the corner of her eye, for a split second, Jasmine saw a light blue-skinned Koopa swimming by. It kinda looked like Bowser and his family, but it also had pink fins on its arms and tail. The Koopa went through a hole.

"What was...?"

Jasmine turned around and saw that the brothers were swimming away. Pushing her curiosity away, she swam faster to catch up with the brothers. A Blooper came towards them and hit Mario. Luigi threw fireballs at the Blooper, defeating it. He threw more fireballs at the Cheep Cheeps that came in their direction.

Mario hit a Question Block and found a Fire Flower inside. They then went through a pipe and made it to an area on land. After letting out a breath, the trio walked through the area. They fought more Koopa Troopas and found 1-Up Mushrooms. After eating the 1-Up Mushrooms, they went down another pipe and returned to the water.

Mario hit a Roulette Block and found Super Stars. Jasmine smiled as she grabbed one. They knocked down many Cheep Cheeps, Bloopers, Urchins, and an Eel. Much to Jasmine's disappointment, the Super Star power wore off quickly and they were back to normal. They avoided another Eel and went through another pipe.

Now back on land, the group fought more Koopa Troopas and the Cheep Cheeps that jumped out of the water. Mario saw a P Switch and hit it, making coins appear. After grabbing all of the coins, the three continued on their way.

"I can see the tower!" Jasmine exclaimed.

Jasmine hit a block and found Yoshi eggs inside. They each got on a Yoshi and rode through the area, feeding them fruit. Jasmine hit another block and found an Ice Flower inside. She put the power-up into her pocket and followed the others. The Yoshis ate a few Koopa Troopas and spat out their shells, knocking down Goombas and hitting Cheep Cheeps.

Pretty soon, they arrived at the tower jumped off of their Yoshis.

Chapter Text

Iggy sat at the top of the tower on his phone as he waited for the heroes to arrive. He was currently talking to his younger cousin Sharon on a video call.

"Y'know, Iggster, you should try a different hairstyle sometime." She looked at his hair. "Hmm. Locs or cornrows would look good on ya."

"Are you sure?" Iggy asked.

"Of course!" Sharon replied. She then added, "And Tiana would love it!"

Iggy's face began to warm up. Why does his family enjoy teasing him about his feelings? He'll tell Tiana that he loves her someday. He'll do it! Just... not right now.

Iggy arched an eyebrow when he saw that Bowser Jr. was trying to video call him.

"I'll talk to you later, Sharon. Junior is calling."

Sharon smiled. "Ok! See ya!"

Once they hung up, Iggy answered the call, seeing Junior, Bowser, and the rest of his siblings also there. Noticing that Junior looked upset, Bowser was the first to speak up.

"Junior? What's wrong?"

Bowser Jr. replied, "The Marios and that girl just beat me!"

Iggy sighed. "That means they'll be fighting me pretty soon."

Bowser grumbled. Jasmine's getting really good now.

"You kids gotta slow them down somehow."

After a moment of silence, Ludwig spoke up.

"Why don't you just kidnap Jasmine?"

Bowser smiled broadly. "That's perfect!" Then, much to the oldest Koopaling's surprise and annoyance, Bowser said, "Since you came up with this idea, you kidnap her, Ludwig!"

"But, Dad! I'm in Rock World! That's two worlds away from them!" Ludwig replied.

"Just do it and bring her to Darkland!" Bowser said. "Then you can go back to Rock World!"

Grumbling, Ludwig reluctantly agreed. "Alright."

Once everyone hung up, Iggy put his phone inside his shell.

"I might as well get ready."

He then picked up his wand.

The trio entered the tower and saw iron blocks falling onto conveyor belts.

"Jasmine, stay close to us." Mario told her.

Jasmine nodded and followed them. They jumped onto the iron blocks and made their way onto the conveyor belt above them. After that, they made it to a normal platform. A Koopa Troopa ran toward them, but Luigi stomped on it. He kicked the shell aside and the three went through a Warp Pipe. They saw a Dry Bones and a Big Dry Bones when they got out on the other side.

Jasmine stomped on the Dry Bones and Luigi ground pounded on the Big Dry Bones. After stopping them, they saw a small Warp Pipe at the end of the room. Mario hit a Question Block and found three Mini Mushrooms. They each ate one and ran inside of the pipe after shrinking. The group ended up in a room with more conveyor belts and iron blocks.

Jasmine stuck close to Mario and Luigi and avoided the obstacles. Mario hit another Question Block and found a Propeller Mushroom, a Boomerang Flower, and a Penguin Suit. Mario took the Propeller Mushroom while Luigi and Jasmine took the Boomerang Flower and Penguin Suit respectively. After going through another pipe, the three fought more Dry Bones and Koopa Troopas. Soon, they made it to the top of the tower and entered the room where Iggy was waiting.

Iggy gripped his wand and prepared to fight. With a wave of his wand, he made floating platforms appear. Iggy used his wand once more to shoot green energy blasts at the heroes. Jasmine threw ice balls at the energy blasts, extinguishing them. Iggy growled and tried to jump on her, but Jasmine moved out of the way at the last second.

Luigi jumped on Iggy's head, making him retreat into his shell. The three avoided Iggy's shell. The Koopaling popped out of his shell and shot more energy blasts at them. Jasmine threw ice balls and extinguished them again, much to Iggy's annoyance. He jumped and landed on Jasmine's head, making her shriek and lose her Penguin Suit.

Iggy laughed, but Mario jumped off of the platform and onto Iggy's head. Shrieking, Iggy hid inside his shell. Iggy's shell almost hit Mario, but he flew into the air to avoid it. Once Iggy popped out of his shell, he waved his wand again. Before he could cast a spell, Jasmine jumped onto his head.

Iggy collapsed to the ground and let out a dejected groan. Luigi, Jasmine, and Mario cheered as Iggy slowly got up. After rubbing his head, the tallest Koopaling began to laugh maniacally. The others looked at him in confusion.

"What's so funny?" Jasmine asked.

After giggling, Iggy asked them, "You guys think you've won?" He giggled again. "You have no idea what's coming next!" Iggy held back another giggle and said, "Dad has something more... interesting planned."

Luigi frowned. "Something planned? What are you talking about, Iggy?"

Iggy smirked and responded, "You'll find out soon enough."

After that, the Koopaling left the tower.

"What did he mean by that...?" Jasmine wondered.

Mario gave her a smile. "Don't worry. It's probably nothing."

Jasmine also smiled. "You're right. Besides, I'm sure we can handle it."

The three then left the tower after eating 1-Up Mushrooms and continued their journey.

Chapter Text

Ludwig grumbled as he flew through Jungle World. He sighed as he went past the castle where Wendy would eventually end up.

"I wish I hadn't suggested kidnapping her..." He said.

But at the same time... Jasmine piqued Ludwig's interest. Jasmine still seemed familiar to him, though he's not sure why. Where has he seen her before? At a party? During a tennis game? What was it?

"There's something so familiar about Jasmine." Ludwig muttered to himself. "But I have no idea what it is."

After flying for a while, Ludwig finally arrived in Water World.

Ludwig sighed and said, "I should just get it over with..."

Mario, Luigi, and Jasmine walked away from another Toad House after buying more power-ups. They ran into more Goombas and Koopa Troopas along the way. Mario stomped on a Koopa and kicked the shell, knocking down some more Goombas and Koopa Troopas. Jasmine smiled as she looked around.

"I know that the Mushroom World is amazing, but the guys are right. I have to go back home after we save the princesses." Jasmine frowned slightly. "I'm gonna miss them. But, at least I can still visit."

Then, Jasmine saw a Cheep Cheep leaping from the water. She stomped on it before it could hit her.

"Good job!" The Bros. said in unison, making Jasmine smile.

As the three stomped on more Cheep Cheeps, they heard a sound coming from the sky.

"Huh? What's that noise?" Jasmine wondered.

The three of them gasped as they stared up at the sky. Ludwig was approaching them in his Clown Car.

"Ludwig! What are you doing here?!" Mario asked him.

Ludwig gestured to Jasmine with a smirk. "I'm here for her!"

Jasmine gasped while Mario and Luigi stepped in front of her. Ludwig picked up his wand and shot a blue energy blast at all of them, making them lose their power-ups. He shot another one at Mario and Luigi, but the brothers dodged them. Grumbling, Ludwig shot more at them. Eventually, the final one hit the brothers, making the two small. Before the three could react, Ludwig waved his wand again.

Mario and Luigi were hit by another energy blast. Then, the two brothers passed out and fell to the ground.

"No!" Jasmine knelt down to check on the brothers.

Floating down, Ludwig took Jasmine's arm.

"Let me go!" She shouted.

The Koopaling ignored her and pulled Jasmine inside of his Clown Car.

"No! Wait!" Jasmine looked back at the fallen plumbers as they flew away. Then she let out a scream. "MARIO! LUIGI!"

For a moment, Ludwig glanced over at the girl out of the corner of his eye. He then averted his gaze and kept flying out of Water World.

Chapter Text

Jasmine and Ludwig reached the Koopa Kingdom after what seemed like an eternity of flying. Jasmine looked around at the lava and rocks in the area. She then looked up. Instead of a bright blue, the sky was a heavy gray, thick with smoke.

"I can't believe this..." She thought.

The air burned her throat when she breathed in too deeply. A sour, metallic tang clung to her tongue, and her eyes watered as the wind blew smoke into her face.

"Ugh," She coughed, pressing her arm to her mouth, "How in the world can anyone live here?"

Ludwig just smirked. "You get used to it."

Jasmine looked at Ludwig after calming down. "Why did you kidnap me?"

Ludwig replied, "My father ordered me to."

"Well, let me go!" Jasmine exclaimed. "You didn't have to do this!"

"No." He said bluntly. "And I did."

Jasmine sat there and began to pout, looking away from him. Her expression caught the Koopaling off guard and, for some reason, it made his heart skip a beat. As they flew over a town, Jasmine saw a sign for a split second that read "Koopa Valley". It took them two minutes, but they arrived at Bowser's castle. Ludwig held Jasmine in his arms and hopped out of the Clown Car.

He entered the castle and walked through a hallway. Eventually, he made it to the throne room and walked inside. Jasmine let out a loud gasp as she saw the King of the Koopas sitting on his throne.

Bowser chuckled and said, "Good job, Ludwig! Take her to the dungeon!"

Jasmine's eyes widened. "What? No way!"

Ludwig nodded and turned around. He sighed as he made his way to the dungeon.

Peach and Daisy stared at the floor as they sat in their cell. Daisy sighed and said, "I hope the guys will be here soon."

"Don't worry, Daisy." Peach patted her shoulder. "I'm sure Mario and Luigi are almost in the Koopa Kingdom."

Then, the two princesses heard the sound of the dungeon door opening. The girls smiled brightly. Finally! It was Mario and Luigi! Now they can go back home!

Unfortunately, when the two saw who had entered, they frowned. Then they arched an eyebrow. They saw Ludwig walking inside, but he was carrying a girl in his arms. Who was she? What was she doing here?

Ludwig unlocked the door to the cell next to theirs and placed Jasmine inside. He quickly shut and locked the door before she could get a chance to run out of the cell. After putting the keys away, Ludwig made his way out of the dungeon. He rolled his eyes as Jasmine yelled at him.

"Ludwig von Koopa! Get us out of here right now!"

Back in Water World, a Toad left the Toad House after hearing the commotion. As he moved, he looked around.

"Oh man. Whoever it was, I hope they're ok..."

Then, as he walked past a tree, the Toad gasped. He saw the Mario Brothers on the ground, passed out.

"Oh no! Mario! Luigi!"

The Toad quickly headed back to his house. Pretty soon, he returned with 1-Up Mushrooms and Super Mushrooms. After feeding the brothers the mushrooms, they slowly opened their eyes as they returned to their normal sizes. The Toad smiled and let out a sigh of relief as they slowly stood up.

"Oh my gosh! Thank goodness I found you two when I did!" He said.

Luigi looked around. "Hey. Where's Jasmine?"

Mario gasped as his memories came flooding back.

"Oh my gosh! Jasmine! We gotta hurry!" He looked at the Toad. "Thank you so much for your help, buddy!" He turned to look at his brother. "C'mon, Luigi! We need to get to Bowser and save the princesses along with Jasmine!"

The Toad waved goodbye and watched as Mario and Luigi ran away.

Chapter Text

Sitting in the dungeon cell, Jasmine let out a sigh. She couldn't believe that she got kidnapped! This was so annoying!

"Don't worry, dear." Peach said from their own cell. "Mario and Luigi will save us."

"By the way, who are you exactly?" Daisy asked her. "And how did you end up getting captured?"

Jasmine played with her hair. "Well, first off, my name is Jasmine. And second, well, it's kinda a long story."

Daisy chuckled. "We got time."

Back with Mario and Luigi, they were currently swimming underwater. They found Fire Flowers after Luigi hit a block. Using the power-ups, they threw fireballs at yellow Cheep Cheeps and then went through a Warp Pipe. When they made it out on the other side, Luigi frowned. They now found themselves standing in front of another Ghost House.

Mario patted Luigi on the shoulder. "We'll be fine."

Mario approached the house's front doors. Whimpering, Luigi trailed behind him.

Back in the dungeon, Jasmine sighed again, not knowing what to do. Where were Mario and Luigi? Were they still unconscious? She shook her head. She didn't want to think about that. But still...

"I hope Mario and Luigi are doing alright."

Sighing again, Jasmine ran her fingers through her hair. Then, she gasped softly. She felt a hairpin.

"That's right! I put this hairpin in to pin back a few stray hairs!" Jasmine then smiled to herself. "Hm. I wonder..."

She removed the hairpin from her hair and walked over to the cell bars. Jasmine reached her hand out and put the hairpin inside the lock.

"Come on..."

Jasmine tried for a few minutes before smiling. She unlocked the door.

"Yes!" She cheered, getting Peach and Daisy's attention.

Pushing the door open, Jasmine walked out of her cell. She then walked over to theirs.

"I used my hairpin to get out." She whispered. "I'm gonna help you two out of yours!"

Peach and Daisy held their breaths as they watched Jasmine insert the hairpin into the lock. As she began trying to unlock their cell door, two Hammer Bros. entered the dungeon. The three girls gasped when they saw the Koopas. The Hammer Bros. then glared at Jasmine.

"Hey! What are you doing!?" One of them yelled.

Jasmine tried to run away, but one of the Hammer Bros. caught her, making her drop her hairpin.

"No! Put me down!"

Jasmine kicked and screamed as the Hammer Bros. took her out of the dungeon. The two took her back to the throne room, where Bowser was still sitting and now on the phone with his children.

Bowser growled when he saw Jasmine. "How did she escape?!"

Ludwig's eyes widened, growing intrigued. "She escaped? Wow."

"Dad." Bowser looked back at his phone when he heard Ludwig's voice. "You can send her to me. I'll make sure that she doesn't escape."

Bowser let out a sigh. "Fine."

He then hung up. After locating another Magikoopa, Bowser ordered him to lock Jasmine inside a cage. Additionally, he told the Magikoopa to teleport her to Ludwig in Rock World.

"What? No! Don't do that!" Jasmine protested.

Unfortunately, the Magikoopa didn't listen to her. Waving his wand, he placed Jasmine inside of a cage. Then, he waved his wand again and a bright light surrounded Jasmine. He then teleported her to the tower in Rock World. When the bright light disappeared, she saw that she was in a new room. She also saw Ludwig sitting on the floor.

"I... I'm at the top of the tower." Jasmine whispered.

Sighing, Jasmine closed her eyes and began to think.

"How long will it take for Mario and Luigi to get here...?"

Chapter Text

Mario and Luigi went through more pipes and fought more enemies after leaving the Ghost House. They fought some Lakitus, Piranha Plants, and Spinies. After fighting more minions, the brothers finally arrived at the castle in Water World. They walked inside and found swinging girders that they had to jump across. A few Dry Bones stood on the platforms in between the girders.

Mario and Luigi stomped on the Dry Bones as they made their way across. The brothers tried their hardest to avoid being crushed by the Thwomps. Mario then got hit by a Thwimp. Before Luigi could get hit by one, he hit a Question Block while the Thwimp was sitting on it. He found an Ice Flower inside the block. Mario grabbed the power-up and they went through another pipe.

The two ended up in another room in the castle with more Dry Bones and Thwomps. They almost got crushed by a Big Thwomp, but they backed away from it. Once the Big Thwomp went back to the ceiling, the brothers made their way across the room, stomping on more Dry Bones. They soon arrived at the large door at the top of the castle. Mario looked at Luigi.

"Ready?"

When Luigi nodded, Mario grinned and pushed the door open. The brothers walked inside and found Iggy waiting for them.

"So, you guys are prepared to fight again, huh?" Iggy said as he stood up. "Don't worry. You won't be winning this time around!"

Iggy waved his wand and made green pipes appear in the room. Giggling, Iggy jumped inside one of the pipes. He popped out of one before hiding. He then popped out of another. Luigi and Mario rushed over and they each jumped onto a pipe.

"Ouch!" Luigi cried out in pain.

He was bitten by a Chain Chomp that hid inside the pipe. Iggy laughed maniacally and went down a pipe. Mario jumped on Iggy's head when he popped out of a pipe, making the Koopaling shriek. Iggy then went down the pipe and popped out of another. Mario almost landed on the pipe with the Chain Chomp inside. He stopped himself before he jumped.

Luigi landed on Iggy's head, making him yell in pain again. Iggy and the Chain Chomp went back down the pipes again. Iggy cackled as the Chain Chomp bit Luigi once again. Mario got closer to the tall Koopaling and jumped on his head, finally defeating him.

"Ugh..." Iggy groaned as he rested on the pipe that he was in.

Mario and Luigi high fived each other and made their way out of the castle.

After walking away from the castle in Water World, Mario and Luigi finally made it to Jungle World. Mario hit a Question Block and found Fire Flowers inside. As soon as they grabbed the power-ups, Luigi spotted a Stalking Piranha Plant walking nearby. When they got closer, the enemy stretched its neck up, blocking their path. Mario defeated it by hurling a fireball at it.

They then came to a place where several bodies of water separated some parts of the land. The area was filled with River Piranha Plants and Cheep Cheeps. Mario and Luigi shot fireballs at the enemies and made their way through that part of Jungle World.

Back in Rock World, Jasmine sighed as she sat in her cage. She glanced over at Ludwig and froze, realizing that he was staring at her. Jasmine turned to face him and raised an eyebrow.

"...Why are you staring at me?"

Ludwig blushed and quickly looked away. "I didn't mean to stare." After a minute passed, Ludwig asked Jasmine, "Have we met before?"

Jasmine blinked and replied, "No. This is my first time being in the Mushroom World."

"You look very familiar," said Ludwig.

"I do?" Jasmine asked. After Ludwig nodded, she said, "Huh. That's interesting, but I don't believe we've ever met before." She chuckled. "I mean, I'd remember meeting a Koopa in person."

"Hm." Ludwig closed his eyes and began to think.

Jasmine glanced around the room, not knowing what to do right now.

"I wonder if Mario and Luigi are alright."

Mario and Luigi arrived in an area filled with Wigglers. Then, they went through a green Warp Pipe and arrived in an underground area. The area was filled with Big Wigglers, Swoops, and poison. The two leaped on a Big Wiggler to get to the other platform and avoided falling into the poison. The brothers ran into more Big Wigglers and jumped on them.

Soon, Mario and Luigi saw a river of poison that they needed to cross. Luigi gulped, but Mario gave him a reassuring smile. They then bounced on the Big Wigglers and crossed the poison. Luigi then let out a breath of relief.

Mario grinned and said, "The Warp Pipe is up ahead!"

The brothers sprinted in the direction of the pipe, passed through it, and emerged above ground very quickly.

Chapter Text

Mario and Luigi found 1-Up Mushrooms after hitting a Question Block.

"Perfect!" Mario cheered.

They put the items in their pockets to save for later. Then, they noticed a Bramball up ahead. The brothers avoided getting hit by the enemy and continued on their way. As they went by, another Bramball appeared and Mario hit another Question Block that he saw. He found Fire Flowers and the brothers quickly grabbed them.

The two avoided the Bramball along with another. Luigi jumped on the next Bramball, making it fall into the poison. As Mario and Luigi jumped across the platforms, Luigi turned around when he heard Mario gasp.

"Whoa!" Mario was beginning to lose his balance.

"Don't worry! I got ya, bro!"

Before his brother could fall into the poison, Luigi grabbed his hand and pulled him up.

"Phew!" Mario let out a breath. "Thanks, Luigi!" He looked ahead and saw a Warp Pipe close by. "Oh! Let's try that pipe!"

Luigi grinned. "Ok!"

Mario and Luigi ran towards the pipe and jumped inside.

Jasmine frowned as she stared at her feet. She grumbled as she thought to herself. How could she escape? Was there even a way for her to escape? Were Mario and Luigi alright? Are they almost here?

When Jasmine heard Ludwig say, "There's no way to escape," she looked up.

"I wasn't trying to escape!" She quickly replied.

Ludwig arched an eyebrow. "Oh really?"

Jasmine quickly looked away and sighed again. "I can't believe I got kidnapped..."

"Well, you better believe it." Ludwig scoffed and shook his head. "You won't be leaving that cage or this place anytime soon."

"Hmph!"

After that, Jasmine chose to ignore Ludwig and his comments.

The Bros. went back to walking through Jungle World after taking a quick break. Mario and Luigi found some more Question Blocks and hit them. A few had coins while others had items and power-ups. Mario hit a block and found a 1-Up Mushroom inside. Luigi hit another and found a Mini Mushroom.

After finding more power-ups, Luigi smiled. "Mario, look!" He gestured forward. "We're almost at the tower!"

"Alright!" Mario then dashed in the direction of the tower.

"Wait up, Mario!" Luigi called out to him, catching up to his brother.

Mario and Luigi made their way into the tower, trying to stay clear of the spiked walls. Luigi leaped onto a high platform after jumping on a Dry Bones. Mario followed him and jumped on another Dry Bones. He then hit a Question Block, finding a coin inside. They stomped on another Dry Bones and made it to another high platform, avoiding more spiked walls.

Ludwig sat on the floor, looking through one of his sheet music. Smiling, he put it away and took out a new sheet along with a pencil. He began to write, thinking about the music he dreamed of the night before. Jasmine glanced over at him and the door to her cage. She frowned again. If only she had another hairpin or something else to escape...

Jasmine mindlessly tapped the bars of her cage. The sound unfortunately made the eldest Koopaling cringe.

Ludwig looked up from his sheet music and loudly said, "Can you stop!?"

Rolling her eyes, Jasmine stopped. Ludwig sighed and went back to writing.

Jasmine then groaned. "I wonder if Mario and Luigi are close."

"They're probably heading to Wendy right now." Ludwig replied. "Now be quiet so I can concentrate."

"But I'm bored!" Jasmine said.

Ludwig rolled his eyes, which made Jasmine gasp and glare at him. Ludwig turned around and went back to working on his music.

Mario and Luigi had made it to Wendy. They were currently dodging her gold rings. Luigi landed on Wendy's head, making the female Koopaling shriek. She hid in her shell and spun around the room. Her shell nearly struck Luigi and Mario, but they swiftly moved aside.

Wendy emerged from her shell and continued to shoot rings from her wand. The rings bounced off the walls and one hit Mario. Wendy laughed when Mario lost his power-up, but screamed after Luigi jumped on her head again. While dodging her shell, Mario pulled out a Fire Flower. When she popped out of her shell, Mario threw fireballs at Wendy before she could attack. Wendy was finally stopped and fell to the floor.

"Alright!" Mario and Luigi cheered and high-fived each other.

"Ugh..." Wendy groaned as she stood up and rubbed her head.

She then quickly left the tower. The brothers also left, trying to catch up with her.

Chapter Text

Ludwig smiled as he looked at his sheet music. He was almost finished writing his new song and he couldn't wait to play it later! Oh, this was going to be fantastic! He just knew it! He could feel it!

"Hm?" Ludwig heard his phone ringing. He pulled it out to see that it was another video call with his family.

When he answered the call, Ludwig, Jasmine, and the rest of his brothers winced when they heard Wendy whining.

"Daddy! Mario and Luigi beat me!" Wendy then pouted. "I'm in the castle now..."

Ludwig let out a sigh. Pretty soon, he would have to deal with those plumbers. That was gonna be annoying...

Lemmy gave their sister a smile. "Don't worry, Wen. I'm sure you'll beat them this time!"

Wendy slowly calmed down and smiled. "Thanks, Lemmy. I'll try even harder!"

The Koopas then hung up. After putting his phone away, Ludwig went back to writing.

Jasmine smiled and said, "Mario and Luigi will be here in no time!"

In Jungle World, Mario and Luigi were using planks to get across the poison. After crossing the planks, the brothers breathed a sigh of relief when they made it back on the ground. The two then spotted a Ghost House close by. When they approached it, Luigi inhaled deeply and followed Mario inside. Mario surveyed his surroundings, trying to locate the right door.

He smiled when he turned a doorknob and walked inside. The two made their way through the room, finding coins in Question Blocks and avoiding the Boos inside. A Boo laughed as it made its way towards Luigi. He swiftly turned around, making the Boo freeze and cover its face.

"Oh man..." Luigi shivered. "We gotta find the way out of this place!"

Luigi sighed in relief and smiled once they made it back outside. Finally! They were out of that creepy Ghost House!

"Man, that Ghost House seemed way darker than the others!" Luigi said.

Mario smiled and patted his brother on the shoulder. "It's over now, Weegee. Now, let's keep going!"

Luigi nodded and followed Mario.

The brothers were now above Jungle World. They jumped across the many Jumbo Rays to get back to the ground. Bullet Bills flew towards them, but Mario and Luigi either dodged them or jumped on them. They jumped onto another Jumbo Ray. Luigi landed on it, but began to lose his balance.

"Mario! Help!" He cried out.

The older twin turned around and gasped. He grabbed Luigi's hand and pulled him up before he could fall. Luigi gave Mario a tight hug, thanking him. Mario chuckled and hugged him back. The two then jumped onto another Jumbo Ray.

After a while, the two found a pipe and went through it. When they made it out on the other side, the brothers were back on the ground. Mario looked around and then gasped. They were almost at the castle! He then looked at Luigi.

"We should get some more power-ups." He said.

Luigi nodded. "Alright."

The two then headed to another Toad House.

"Alright!" Mario said as he put a Super Mushroom into his pocket. "I think we have enough power-ups for now."

The brothers said goodbye to the Toad and walked out of the Toad House. A Koopa Troopa was lying near a tree, but as soon as he saw the two, he got up. In an attempt to hit Mario, the Koopa Troopa rushed over to them. Unfortunately for the Koopa, Mario jumped and landed on his head. Mario then kicked the Koopa's red shell into the poison.

As they walked through the area, a Goomba came over to them. The Goomba's eyes widened when Luigi jumped into the air. He landed on the enemy, crushing it. Then, Luigi noticed another green pipe close by. He and Mario went through it and immediately ran into more Koopa Troopas and Wigglers.

Mario and Luigi stomped on the Koopas and kicked their shells away. Luigi picked up one shell and threw it at a Wiggler, defeating it. He looked ahead and smiled. They were even closer to the castle now! Just one more fight with Wendy, and they'll be in Rock World in no time.

A Wiggler chased them after Mario jumped on it, but they ran away from the enemy as fast as they could.

Mario and Luigi stopped running as soon as they arrived at the castle. They stood in front of the door to catch their breath. Once they were alright, Luigi opened the door and they walked inside. The two were now standing on a platform above waves of lava. After landing on a moving platform, they ran into a Dry Bones. After Mario stomped on its head, they made their way to another moving platform.

As they walked across more moving platforms, Luigi was hit by the lava before he could move out of the way. The two jumped onto another platform where they saw a Question Block. Luigi hit the block and found an Ice Flower inside. Using the power-up, Luigi threw an ice ball at another Dry Bones. He picked up the frozen enemy and threw the ice block, knocking down another Dry Bones on the platform in front of them.

After jumping into a Warp Pipe, the brothers were now in a room filled with Big Dry Bones. Mario and Luigi ground pounded on each one and went back through the pipe. After jumping on a Dry Bones, the bros. found another Warp Pipe to go through. When they made it out on the other side, they found a room with lots of coins and more Dry Bones. Mario and Luigi stomped on the enemies and grabbed a few extra coins.

"A yellow pipe?" Luigi said as he turned to his right. He put his coins in his pocket and walked over to the pipe. "Will this take us to Wendy?"

Mario shrugged. "Let's give it a try."

The brothers approached the pipe and they climbed inside. Sadly, Luigi was wrong. The Warp Pipe transported them to another area with moving platforms and lava. Oh well. Maybe they were getting closer. As they avoided the lava, the bros. made their way across the moving platforms.

Luigi and Mario almost fell into the lava, but they caught their balance. As they avoided the lava, Mario grinned. The big door! It was getting closer! They jumped across more moving platforms until they finally reached the door.

Luigi opened the door and they walked inside. Wendy was sitting down, finishing applying nail polish. When she glanced over at the entrance, she gasped.

"Ugh, already?!" Wendy grumbled softly and put her nail polish away. "Ok. Let's get this over with."

Waving her wand, Wendy made lava appear underneath the platform, with a few lava bubbles popping up and down. Luigi threw an ice ball at a lava bubble, extinguishing it. Using her wand again, Wendy shot large rings at them. Mario and Luigi dodged each one. Mario jumped on Wendy's head, making her cry out in pain.

Wendy retreated into her shell and whirled around the platform. The bros. jumped over her shell as she tried to hit them. Once she popped out of her shell, Wendy shot more rings out at them. Mario dodged one, but Luigi was hit by the other and lost his ice powers. Before Wendy could attack again, Luigi jumped on her head. She screamed and hid in her shell, spinning around again.

Her shell nearly hit Mario, but he was able to avoid it at the last second. Wendy stopped spinning and growled. She waved her wand and shot out multiple gold rings. Mario and Luigi did their best to avoid getting hit. Mario dodged a ring, jumped into the air, and landed on Wendy's head.

Wendy groaned as she lay on the floor in pain. The brothers cheered after defeating the Koopaling. Then, they made their way out of the castle.

Ludwig sighed as he put his sheet music away. One of the Koopa Troopas in the tower just left the room to inform him that Mario and Luigi were now in Rock World. He pulled out his wand and cleaned it with a cloth.

"I might as well get ready." He muttered.

"Yeah!" Jasmine cheered. "I can't wait to see Mario and Luigi again!"

Ludwig rolled his eyes and shook his head.

When Mario and Luigi arrived in Rock World, they saw two Stone Spikes standing on a platform. The brothers lost their power-ups after getting hit by the spiked rocks that the Stone Spikes threw down. Mario jumped onto the platform and on both enemies' heads before they could attack again. Luigi followed him and hit a Question Block, finding an Ice Flower and a Propeller Mushroom. Mario took the Ice Flower and Luigi took the Propeller Mushroom.

The two spotted a Koopa Paratroopa flying over a pit and next to it, another Stone Spike on a platform. After the Spike dropped the rock, Mario threw an ice ball at the enemy, freezing it. The brothers jumped across the frozen Stone Spike and arrived at some cliffs that they needed to climb. Mario and Luigi began climbing, avoiding two more Stone Spikes and Koopa Paratroopas. When they made it to the next section of the area, they stopped for a moment to catch their breath.

They then saw a Koopa Troopa walking on top of some Question Blocks and bricks. They also saw a Bill Blaster Turret firing Bullet Bills. After dodging the Bullet Bills and avoiding Stone Spikes, Mario and Luigi found a Warp Pipe hidden inside of a wall.

Luigi chuckled. "I've always found these hidden areas interesting."

The two went through the pipe and were now underground. The brothers immediately saw a Piranha Plant on a rolling hill. Mario froze the Piranha Plant and ground pounded the block of ice. He and Luigi then walked across the rolling hill and saw two Question Blocks. They also saw Spinies walking above them on the ceiling.

After hitting the blocks and finding coins, they came across another rolling hill. Above the rolling hill were three Question Blocks. At the end of the rolling hill was another Piranha Plant. While Luigi hit the blocks, Mario threw an ice ball at the Piranha Plant. They jumped over the ice block and ran into more Piranha Plants and Spinies.

While underground, they also encountered some Swoops, Goombas, and Sledge Bros. Mario gasped after stomping on a Goomba.

"Finally! That must be the way out of here!" Mario said as he pointed to a pipe.

Mario and Luigi dodged a Sledge Bro.'s hammer after he threw it. They jumped into the air before the enemy could stun them. Mario then jumped on the Sledge Bro.'s head, stopping him. Once he fell to the ground, Mario and Luigi walked past him and made their way to the pipe. They jumped into the pipe and climbed through it. They made it back above ground when they climbed out of the other pipe.

The two ran into a Spiny, but Mario froze it. They then continued on their way.

Chapter Text

Mario and Luigi finally arrived at the tower after fighting more of the Koopa Troop. The two walked inside and the first thing they saw was a giant skewer. Once the skewer rose, the brothers ran underneath it. Mario and Luigi then climbed up some semi-solid platforms while avoiding more skewers. After landing on a platform, the two encountered two Dry Bones.

After stomping on both, Mario and Luigi jumped across a group of lifts moving horizontally. They jumped onto some note blocks, landing on a higher platform. A Dry Bones walked towards them, but Luigi stomped on its head. As they walked across the platform, Mario spotted a green Warp Pipe. He and Luigi jumped over another Dry Bones and went through the pipe.

On the other side, they arrived in another room. A few Koopa Paratroopas, Paragoombas, and Dry Bones were waiting for them. Luigi hit a nearby block and found a coin inside. A Paragoomba flew towards them, but Mario stomped on it. Now a normal Goomba, the enemy tried to attack again, but Luigi stomped on it. Mario ran and jumped onto more brick blocks.

He jumped onto a Paratroopa, turning it into a normal Koopa. The Koopa then walked in Luigi's direction. Luigi jumped and landed on the Koopa's head. He then kicked the green shell off of the platform. The two ran into another Dry Bones and Luigi stomped on it.

After stomping on more Dry Bones, Mario and Luigi finally reached the top of the tower. They pushed the big door open and made their way inside. When they were inside, the brothers gasped. Along with Ludwig, they saw Jasmine, imprisoned inside of a cage. Jasmine grinned when she saw them.

"Jasmine?!" The Bros. exclaimed in unison.

Jasmine called out to them. "Mario! Luigi! I knew you'd make it!"

"What are you doing here?" Luigi asked. "We thought you were taken to Bowser with the princesses!"

"Eh, it's a lot." Jasmine scratched her head. "I'll explain later."

Ludwig grumbled as he stood up. He held onto his wand tightly and shot out blue energy blasts at the Mario Bros. Ludwig then flutter jumped into the air. He tried to land on Luigi, but Luigi ran out of the way. Ludwig landed on the floor and prepared to shoot energy blasts. Before he could, Mario jumped onto Ludwig's head.

Ludwig cried out in pain and retreated into his shell. Luigi flew into the air and Mario jumped to avoid getting hit by his shell. Once he stopped spinning, Ludwig shot out more energy blasts. Mario was hit by one and lost his ice powers. Ludwig then jumped and landed on Luigi's head, making him lose his Propeller Suit.

"You can do it, guys!" Jasmine cheered.

Her comment made the oldest Koopaling grit his teeth and clench his fists. Luigi jumped on Ludwig's head, making him retreat into his shell again. Mario and Luigi dodged Ludwig's shell as he dashed around the room. Ludwig popped out of his shell when he was finished and shot out more energy blasts from his wand. He flutter jumped again, but the Bros. avoided getting stomped on.

Ludwig was finally stopped when Mario leaped and landed on his head. Mario, Luigi, and Jasmine cheered as Ludwig lay on the floor. Mario then walked over to Ludwig's wand. He leaned down to pick it up. Before he could, Ludwig quickly grabbed the wand.

He then waved it and teleported himself and Jasmine out of the tower. Luigi and Mario gasped when the two disappeared.

Mario looked at Luigi and said, "We need to hurry to the castle and save Jasmine!"

Luigi replied, "Right!"

Luigi then followed his brother out of the tower.

Chapter Text

Jasmine blinked and looked around. She and Ludwig were no longer in the tower. Then, she gasped. Jasmine quickly realized that they were now in the castle.

Jasmine glared at the Koopaling. "Why did you bring me with you?!"

Ludwig didn't respond. He took a seat on the floor and pulled out his sheet music again. Groaning, Jasmine glared at him again.

After leaving the tower, Mario and Luigi came to a water-filled area. A Porcupuffer saw them and swam over. Mario and Luigi gasped and did their best to avoid the enemy. Luigi punched a Question Block, finding two Fire Flowers inside. After grabbing the power-ups, the brothers hurled fireballs at the Porcupuffer, stopping it.

The water rose and drained as they made their way through the area. Another Porcupuffer saw the bros. and tried to attack them. It didn't get the chance to though. Luigi threw fireballs at it before the enemy could do anything. The two climbed up a vine and went through a pipe. Eventually, they arrived in another area.

After sliding down a slope, Mario and Luigi found themselves in an underground cavern filled with water. They saw a raft and hopped onto it. Mario and Luigi threw fireballs at a few Cheep Cheeps that they saw. Then, a Swoop flew down towards them. Mario jumped on the enemy and stopped it from attacking them.

At certain points, the water rose and lowered. Then, Mega Cheep Cheeps began to appear. Mario noticed Luigi trembling a little. He patted his shoulder and smiled.

"It's going to be alright, Luigi."

Luigi nodded. He gulped and looked at the giant enemy. He and Mario threw fireballs at the first one. The enemy eventually fainted and they rode past it.

Mario sighed. "Well, that's one down."

"Yeah." Luigi looked ahead. "But there's way more!"

Mario chuckled. "I know. But we can stop 'em!"

Luigi took a deep breath. "You're right, Mario." He slowly began to relax. "Let's do this!"

They threw more fireballs at the second Mega Cheep Cheep. Once it fainted, they moved onto the third one. Then the fourth. And the fifth. Their arms were getting tired, but they kept fighting.

After throwing a few more fireballs, all of the Mega Cheep Cheeps were defeated.

Luigi rubbed his arm. "How many Mega Cheep Cheeps was that anyways?"

"Too many." Mario responded.

The brothers then ran into three Fire Bros. They dodged the fireballs that the Koopas threw at them. Mario and Luigi jumped on each of their heads and landed on the platforms when they passed out. They then jumped back onto their raft and continued on their way. Mario and Luigi smiled when they saw a Warp Pipe coming up. They jumped up and climbed through it.

When they made it out of the next pipe, they were above ground again. Mario hit a Question Block and found two 1-Up Mushrooms inside. Mario and Luigi gasped after eating their mushrooms.

"The castle!" Mario exclaimed as he gestured at it.

Mario and Luigi then ran towards the castle.

Chapter Text

As soon as they arrived at the main doors, the two plumbers stormed inside the castle. Mario immediately ran, wanting to reach Ludwig. He wasn't paying attention and nearly fell into the lava pit nearby.

"Oh no!" Mario struggled to maintain his balance.

"I got you, bro!"

Luigi caught Mario just in time before he fell.

Mario sighed. "Thanks, Lu!"

After taking a deep breath, the brothers jumped across the iron blocks that fell from a conveyor belt. Thankfully, neither one of them fell into the lava while crossing. Mario jumped on a Dry Bones as they made their way across. They also avoided a Bony Beetle. A Goomba walked over to them, but Luigi stomped on it.

Then, he hit a brick block and found a few coins. After stomping on a Koopa Troopa, Mario kicked the shell away and they progressed through the castle.

In the large room, Jasmine and Ludwig sat in silence, which Ludwig was grateful for. Now he could think in peace. He closed his eyes and sighed. If only they didn't have to kidnap Peach. He could've gone to the ballroom and played a song on his piano. Or played another instrument like the violin.

Ludwig opened his eyes and glanced over at Jasmine. She was poking at one of the bars on the cage. She looked so bored. Ludwig shook his head and closed his eyes once again. A few thoughts came to his mind, but some stuck out more than others.

Who was Jasmine exactly? Why does she look so familiar? Does she resemble someone Ludwig had previously met? Maybe, but... who really knows? Where could he have met someone who looked like her?

Maybe Ludwig saw someone like her in the Mushroom Kingdom? There are a lot of humans living there along with the Toads and other species, so that could be possible. Perhaps he saw a girl that looked like her running away from the Koopa Troop. Or maybe he saw that person during a go-kart race or tennis game. Maybe that person lived in the Crystal Kingdom? Is that where he saw them?

Ludwig squinted to get a closer look at Jasmine's face. Now that he looked at her, Jasmine looked so similar to this mysterious girl, except... she looks much older. Jasmine looked to be around sixteen years old, just like himself. For some reason, Ludwig was picturing someone a little younger. Perhaps he met a girl who looked and had the same name as Jasmine in his past?

Ludwig groaned and closed his eyes. "This is going to bother me for a long time!"

The two were silent for some time. Then, they heard the sound of the minions screaming and looked towards the door.

Ludwig grumbled. "Those idiot plumbers..."

Jasmine grinned. "Alright! Mario and Luigi will stop you and save me in no time!"

Ludwig scoffed and replied, "We'll see."

Mario stomped on another Koopa Troopa and kicked the empty shell. The shell knocked down two Dry Bones that were up ahead. They then arrived at another lava pit and jumped across more iron blocks. A few lava bubbles popped out of the lava as they crossed, but they did their best to avoid getting hit. At the last second though, a lava bubble hit Mario's leg. He ended up losing his fire powers.

Luigi looked around and spotted a blue P-Switch. He ran over to it and hit the switch. Then, iron blocks with a group of Dry Bones on them fell on top of the lava. Mario and Luigi quickly jumped on the Dry Bones as they made their way across. After jumping across the iron blocks, the bros. made it to another platform.

They walked forward until they finally reached the big door. The two opened the door and walked inside the room. Jasmine smiled when she saw them while Ludwig snarled.

"Good luck, you two!" exclaimed Jasmine.

Ludwig shook his head after hearing that. He got to his feet and Jasmine watched the three begin. Then, Jasmine gasped when she watched Ludwig. The Koopaling began to levitate in the air! He then made two duplicates of himself with his magic, making Jasmine's eyes widen. The three Ludwigs shot blue energy blasts at Mario and Luigi.

The brothers dodged their attacks. The three Ludwigs each landed on the floor after that. Luigi threw fireballs at the one in the middle, making the clones disappear. Ludwig retreated inside of his shell and whirled around the room. Luigi was hit by Ludwig and lost his fire powers.

Ludwig emerged from his shell, levitated again, and created two more duplicates of himself. Then, the three Ludwigs swapped positions, making Jasmine gasp again.

"What?! Where's the real Ludwig?" She wondered.

When they landed on the floor, Mario jumped and landed on the Ludwig on the left. The clones disappeared and Ludwig spun around in his shell again. When his shell came over to them, Mario and Luigi jumped over it. Ludwig eventually stopped spinning and levitated once more. After making his duplicates and shooting energy blasts, the three swiftly swapped positions again.

Each one then landed on the floor. Luigi looked at them as they prepared to attack. Before they could, Luigi ran towards the Ludwig on the right. He jumped into the air and landed on his head. The duplicates disappeared and the real Ludwig fell to the floor.

Ludwig groaned as he dropped his wand. Mario made his way over to him and quickly picked up the wand. Mario then proceeded to to the cage where Jasmine was imprisoned. Waving Ludwig's wand, he made the cage disappear, finally freeing Jasmine.

Jasmine smiled at the bros. "Thanks so much! I'm so glad to be out of that cage!"

"Hehe! No problem!" Luigi replied.

Mario dropped Ludwig's wand and walked over to the adjacent window. He peeked out of it and saw an airship.

"We should hurry to the airship." Mario said to them. "We have to stop Bowser Jr. again."

"Ok!" Luigi replied. Jasmine nodded.

The two then followed Mario out of the room. As Ludwig slowly sat up, he heard Jasmine talking to the bros.

"Y'know, your fight with Ludwig was really cool!" Jasmine chuckled. "Especially when Ludwig levitated and made duplicates of himself!"

Hearing that made Ludwig's heart flutter. He then arched an eyebrow.

"What...? What was that about?"

Chapter Text

Jasmine and the Mario Bros. walked out of Ludwig's castle and were making their way to Bowser Jr.'s airship. Mario hit a Question Block and they each grabbed a Fire Flower. After stomping on a few Goombas, the trio made it to the airship. They climbed the rope ladder until they reached the top. When they got on board, the first things they saw were three spinning wheels. Jasmine took a deep breath and followed the bros.

Luigi stomped and kicked a Mechkoopa out of their way. After that, Mario hit a nearby Question Block and found an Ice Flower inside. He placed the power-up in his pocket and stomped on a Rocky Wrench. Luigi and Mario helped Jasmine cross more spinning wheels that they came across along with a pit. A few Rocky Wrenches threw more wrenches at the trio as they ran through the airship. Thankfully, the three were able to dodge their attacks.

They jumped and landed on a few crates. Mario ground pounded on one, revealing a green Warp Pipe. After jumping down the pipe, they found more spinning wheels in the new room. Seeing the wheels made Jasmine sigh. Luigi turned to her and gave Jasmine a smile.

"It's alright, Jasmine. Everything will be ok."

Jasmine smiled back at him and slowly relaxed. The three jumped across each spinning wheel. They then went through the next Warp Pipe.

The three continued to cross more spinning wheels, avoid wrenches, and stomp on Mechakoopas. After kicking away another Mechakoopa, they eventually found another Warp Pipe. The three jumped through it and arrived at a room where Bowser Jr. was waiting. Along with his Clown Car, three extra ones were and electric fences that were off were also in the room. Junior was currently sitting on the floor, coloring in a coloring book. He dropped the red crayon and smiled at the picture.

"There! It's finally finished!"

Junior then froze when he heard a feminine voice say, "Awww! So cute!"

The young Koopa looked up and gasped as he saw the heroes. Grumbling, he put his crayons and coloring book away.

"Don't call me cute!" He mumbled.

Junior laughed as he hopped inside of his Clown Car. The electric fences then turned on.

Mario looked at the others and said, "Quick! Get inside of a car!"

Luigi and Jasmine didn't hesitate and followed Mario. They each jumped inside a Clown Car. Jasmine glanced over at Mario to see what buttons to press. Then, they flew into the air with Junior. Junior knocked Mario's Clown Car into one of the electric fences, making him lose his fire powers.

Junior was knocked into the other electric fence by Luigi and Jasmine, causing him to scream in agony. Once he recovered, Bowser Jr. tried to knock Jasmine into the electric fence, but she pushed back. Luigi flew over and helped her out. Junior eventually hit the fence and screamed. Jasmine looked at Luigi with a smile.

"Thanks, Luigi!" She said.

Luigi smiled back. "No problem!"

After recovering, Bowser Jr. knocked Luigi and Jasmine into the electric fence, making them both scream and lose their power-ups.

"Are you two ok?" Mario asked them.

"Yeah..." Luigi and Jasmine replied.

Mario and Bowser Jr. began knocking into each other. Mario was getting closer and closer to one fence. He gripped the steering wheel and knocked into the little Koopa. He pushed harder and harder, trying to finish the fight.

"Come on..."

Eventually, Mario smiled. Bowser Jr. was pushed into the electric fence. Screaming, he fell off of the platform. After landing their Clown Cars, Mario, Luigi, and Jasmine cheered. Then, Kamek returned with Bowser Jr. The two Koopas glared at the heroes and left the airship.

Jasmine looked at the brothers and smiled. "That battle was great!"

Mario and Luigi laughed. "Yeah, it was!" Mario said.

After chuckling, Luigi said, "We should head to Cloud World."

Mario nodded. "Alright!" He looked over at Jasmine. "C'mon, Jasmine!"

"Ok!"

Jasmine smiled as she followed the bros. out of the airship.

Chapter Text

Bowser Jr. glanced at Ludwig over the phone and gave him a glare. After his battle with the heroes, he called his family to complain about them.

"You suck, Ludwig! How did you lose?!" Bowser Jr. exclaimed.

Ludwig rolled his eyes at his baby brother. "You clearly lost too, Junior."

Junior then grumbled, "At least I didn't let those guys take my prisoner..."

Roy laughed and flexed his muscles. "Hahahaha! Oh man! You guys didn't train hard enough!" He smirked. "I can beat the Bros. and that Jasmine chick!"

Morton rolled his eyes and also smirked. "Good luck, bro."

"I don't need luck!" Roy laughed some more. "I'm gonna win!"

Back with the heroes, the three were currently hopping across some colorful platforms. Jasmine almost slipped off, but Mario caught her. Eventually, they made it to a Warp Pipe and went through it. On the other side, they noticed that they were in the sky. After hitting a Question Block, Luigi found a coin inside of it.

They landed on a yellow platform after crossing two vibrant moving platforms. Two Koopa Troopas were walking along it. One of the Troopas saw them and ran over. Jasmine stomped on it and kicked the shell, knocking the other down. When they jumped and landed on a red platform, the trio saw a Piranha Plant. After taking out an Ice Flower, Mario threw an ice ball and froze the enemy.

They jumped across the frozen Piranha Plant along with some platforms made from Warp Pipes. A few more Piranha Plants tried to bite them. Thankfully, Mario wasn't bitten and froze each one. Once they had crossed the pipes, the three jumped across some thin moving platforms. They also jumped over a few spinning platforms.

Luigi's eyes widened as they jumped onto the next platform. A Piranha Plant was trying its hardest to bite his leg. Fortunately, Luigi jumped out of the way in time. Mario then threw an ice ball at the Piranha Plant. Luigi let out a breath and gave Mario a smile.

"Thanks, Mario!"

Mario gave him a thumbs up and they continued on their way. They landed on a few more moving platforms after walking across another pipe platform. Luigi nearly stumbled, but managed to catch himself. They then jumped across more pipes and Mario stomped on a Koopa Troopa's head. He picked up the shell and threw it at another Koopa Troopa and a Piranha Plant.

The three went through another pipe after crossing more moving platforms. When the three looked around, they found themselves in another area in Cloud World.

Chapter Text

The first thing they saw when they got to the new location was a Chain Chomp sitting close by. They jumped and swam through a Water Ball after avoiding getting bitten. Mario released another Chain Chomp from its post after swimming through more Water Balls. The Chain Chomp ended up breaking some bricks that blocked their path. As they walked through the area avoiding more Chain Chomps and Bullet Bills, Jasmine began to think to herself.

"Man. Our adventure is almost over." She jumped over a Bullet Bill that came her way. "Once we make it back to the Mushroom Kingdom, I'll be going home..."

A Chain Chomp was approaching Jasmine, but she was too preoccupied to notice it.

"Jasmine, look out!"

"Huh?"

Before the enemy could bite her, Luigi grabbed Jasmine's arm and pulled her out of the way in time. Jasmine blinked and looked at Luigi with a sheepish smile.

"Thanks, Luigi." She chuckled. "I guess I got distracted for a second."

Luigi smiled back at her. "No problem!"

After that, the trio went through a Warp Pipe.

The next area they made it to had even more Water Balls than the last one. After swimming through the Water Balls, the trio made it to a platform. Once they were on the platform, they saw another Warp Pipe and jumped into it. The three made it back to the ground when they came out from the other side. More Bullet Bills flew towards them, but the three either dodged or jumped on them.

A few more Chain Chomps tried to bite them, but they tried their hardest to move out of the way. One almost bit Mario's leg, but he jumped over it at the last second. Another tried biting Luigi and Jasmine. Thankfully, both of them jumped over the enemy and caught up with Mario. Jasmine looked ahead and saw two more Chain Chomps resting. They tried to walk past them quietly, but one opened its eyes and began barking when it saw them.

"Oh, come on!" Jasmine yelled.

They leaped back when both enemies attempted to bite them. The three jumped over the Chain Chomps when they were able to and fled the area.

After letting out a sigh, Jasmine glanced back at the area they left. "Y'know, Chain Chomps are kinda cool."

Mario chuckled and asked, "Even when they're trying to attack?"

"Hahaha! Ok, except for that!" Jasmine laughed.

Luigi laughed with them and said, "Hopefully we won't have to deal with more Chain Chomps!"

They then walked away after calming down.

Chapter Text

The group eventually reached the tower after going through more locations and dodging more enemies like Fuzzies and more Piranha Plants. When they walked inside, they saw Slide Lifts inside the room. Mario looked at Jasmine and Luigi.

"Be careful." He said.

Luigi and Jasmine nodded and replied, "Alright."

As the three made their way up the fortress, they did their best to avoid getting crushed by the Slide Lifts. The three lost their power-ups after a Fire Bro. hit them with fireballs. While avoiding more fireballs, Mario made his way over to the enemy and stomped on the Fire Bro's head. He then hit a Question Block and found Super Acorns inside. Now wearing flying squirrel suits, they continued going through the tower.

After avoiding Bob-Ombs, Bullet Bills, and Banzai Bills, the trio finally made it to the top.

Jasmine sighed and said, "I hope the castle doesn't have Slide Lifts." Jasmine glanced down and looked at one. "I'm not a fan of them."

Luigi chuckled. "I agree."

Roy was waiting for them when they walked in the room. The Koopaling immediately did a ground pound, stunning all three of them. Then, he shot purple energy blasts at them, making the three lose their power-ups. Once they were able to move again, Mario ran towards Roy and jumped on his head.

"OW!" Roy screamed and retreated into his shell.

Jasmine jumped over Roy's shell before he could hit her. After spinning around the room, Roy popped out of his shell and ground pounded again. This time, the three jumped into the air before they could get stunned. Before Roy could shoot more energy blasts at them, Luigi stomped on his head. As he spun around in his shell again, Roy hit Luigi, making the plumber small.

Luigi pulled a Super Mushroom from his pocket while dodging an attack. He ate it and returned to his normal size. After popping out of his shell, Roy growled. He ground pounded one more time, but the others jumped once again. He waved his wand and shot more energy blasts their way. Jasmine was almost hit by one, but she ducked at the last second.

When the energy blasts disappeared, Jasmine took a deep breath. She ran towards Roy, jumped into the air, and landed on the Koopaling's head. Roy groaned as he fell to the floor. He slowly got to his feet as the other cheered a moment later. After rubbing his head, Roy quickly left the tower. Mario, Luigi, and Jasmine did their best to catch up with him.
