Summary
The warm afternoon breeze that blows through Jinx’s flower garden is enough to ruffle the white linen of her skirt where it flows loosely around her ankles. She curls her bare toes into the soft grass and even softer dirt, inhaling deeply as she breathes in the scent of her carefully-cultivated violets; the ends of her bangs lightly caress her cheek and collarbone, and she giggles, then shivers, spinning around as she looks at the little corner of the world she and her sister had managed to find and claim all for themselves. The sun shines down brightly, the sky big and blue and full of fluffy white clouds, and it’s the kind of day that she and Vi rarely ever got to see as children, so she is more than happy to bask in it all, having just woke up in time to see the afternoon arrive.
