“Here is to another death caused by my Father. “ Zagreus gets out from the River Styx trying to shake off his Father's words about how many tries he has done while trying to see his mom and failing everytime. Zagreus decides to talk to Hypnos trying to ignore his father's normal insults as Hypnos jolts awake.
“Oh hey! I see you dead by [reacted] again, I wonder what reacted even is!”
“You don't want to know Hypnos”
“Really?”
“Yep”
Zagreus dashes away, “ oh gods, I need to snap out this mood. Father's words should not affect me this much. “ Zagreus thought as he went to go see Achilles before he went on break to go see Patroclus.
“Hello lad, are you doing ok? You seem like you have a lot of things on your mind.
“I am fine Achilles, sir. Just my father you know, being my father. ”
“Oh dear, well if you need to talk about what he's been saying to you, you know where to find me ok? I will always be here to listen.”
“Thank you Achilles, sir but I will be ok”
“If you say so lad”
Zagreus leaves to go do another run, maybe he can get revenge on father for his cruel words; as Zagreus tries to ignore all the insults his brain is telling him.
“I am worried about Zagreus, my love,” says Achilles as he braids his husband's hair.
“Why are you worried about him?”
“He just got back from fighting his day and- he just seemed like he had something on his mind causing some kind of pain.”
“Oh well, I hope our stranger is willing to talk to someone or even us or gets away to deal with how his father treats him.”
“Me too, my love”
Suddenly the door opens as Zagreus enters the glade looking awful. His steps unsteady as he sobs struggled to say anything to the couple in front of him. Achilles and Patroclus run to his side trying to soothe the crying Prince of the Underworld.
“Hey, hey lad. you're ok, you're ok, is this about what happened earlier?”
“Ye-s”
“Ok stranger is ok if I bring you to lay on my lap”
Zagreus nods and Patroclus gently pulls Zagreus’ head onto his lap. Patroclus and Achilles gently play with his hair as Zagreus breathes slowly down. They keep doing this until Zagreus finally completely calms down.
“If you want to lad, you can tell us what Lord Hades said but you don't have to I will not force you”
“Well last time, I was fighting my father, before I died he said I will never make it to see my mother. Do you think this is true?”
“No lad, I don't think so at all. You're almost there to see your mother. You did all that training with me and now you're just putting it all to use. “
“Don't let Hades' cruelty ruin what your goal stranger. He is trying to get you to feel inferior to him, remember fear is for the weak.” added Patroclus
“Fear is for the weak,” repeats Zagreus.
“ You got this lad”
“We believe in you stranger”
“Thank you Achilles and Patroclus sirs, I am going to have another try at getting past my father. Thank you”
“You're welcome lad”
“Anytime stranger now here have an item and go on your quest”
“Yes sir!”
