You had gotten so lost in thought that you didn’t realize the pang of intrusion that racked your brain when you came back to reality. You rubbed your temple furiously as you searched for the offender, certain you were going to decapitate them for prying into your most vulnerable and pathetic problem.
Your eyes found him, grinning at you like a child seeing an ice cream truck for the first time. You closed your book, carefully marking the page and stormed up to the horrifically arrogant vampire. As you approached, you couldn’t help but notice his flamboyant pose, amplifying his most handsome features. It pissed the hell out of you.
“I was right,” the elf cracked, his grin widening at your apparent displeasure.
