Chapter Text

I can't do this anymore Kacchan.

______________________________________________________

This hellhole of a town is going to make me jump. Every day I wake up, I cry, wishing I had died in my sleep. I would give anything to escape this place.

No time to wallow in my sadness; I have to get ready for school. The school here is just as shit as you'd think it is, with fucked-up teachers and students who don't know how to behave like rational humans, just like their hell-sent parents. Except Kacchan; if there was a living embodiment of perfection, it would be him. Platonically, of course. Oh, and his beautiful face, his sharp jawline, and his crimson eyes. Oh, Kacchan.

... Anyways, I put my clothes on and put in my leave-in conditioner. I ran down to the kitchen, made toast and jam, grabbed my school bag, and scrolled through TikTok while waiting for Kacchan. A message popped up on my phone: He's here.

Running out of my house and jumping into his arms is the best part of my day. I love him so much, but he could never know that.

"Hey Zuku," he said while wrapping big, strong arms around me. His embrace was as warm as the smile he gave me. He grabbed my hand and led me to his car parked in front. His 2012 Subaru, which was bought when his mom was still sane—long story.

"It's so warm in here; it feels cosy." I said, sitting in my designated spot.

"Yeah, I put on the heater for you, since you get cold easily. Didn't want my baby freezing on our way to school," he said, adding emphasis to the word 'baby'. I know I said that we aren't dating, so you're probably wondering why he's calling me baby. Well, it's complicated. "Time to head off to that hellhole."

And off we went.
