Chapter Text
Calm. Warm. Sweet. Those were probably the best words Paintbrush could think of to describe this night. It was nice. Great, even.
They had themself halfway on top of Lightbulb, with one of her arms around them and their head on her chest. Comfortable. A little too comfortable, considering it was hard to stay focused on the movie playing on the television. Paintbrush was trying to watch it, they really were. But they were just so comfortable that it made their eyes feel heavy, and Lightbulb was playing with their hair, and if they tilted their head to the side they could clearly hear her heartbeat — slow and steady. Reassuring, soothing.
They sighed quietly and tilted their head back, just enough to allow them to look up at Lightbulb. Was she always this gorgeous? Probably. They had more important things to think about, like how maddeningly kissable she looked right now.
So slowly, carefully, so as to not disturb Lightbulb too much, Paintbrush pushed themself up. They sat up, and then put themself right in Lightbulb's lap, arms draped over her shoulders.
Lightbulb looked at them curiously and started to ask them something, but she was almost immediately cut off by Paintbrush crashing their lips into hers. She was tense for a moment, before she hummed and happily kissed them back and put her hands on their back. Paintbrush shivered slightly, their back sensitive and the touch unexpected, but they just kept kissing Lightbulb. Their tongue flicked at her lips before they parted for it, allowing them to shove it into her mouth and lick at her own tongue.
The two of them continued to make out for a short while, occasionally taking breaks to breathe and lovingly stare into each others eyes. But unfortunately for Paintbrush, Lightbulb eventually perked up and pushed her partner off of herself — Paintbrush landing on their back. Apparently the movie was getting good.
But Paintbrush wanted more kisses. So they got themself up, and right back into her lap. They grasped at her shoulders, and attempted to kiss her again. She tilted her head away from them, determined to see the movie. Paintbrush whined pitifully, trying to make their girlfriend pity them and let them kiss her again.
Lightbulb didnt budge. She pushed at Paintbrush's chest until they fell backward again, though she did glance down to make sure that they were okay. Obviously they were, if them attempting to kiss her again was any indication.
Fed up, Lightbulb grabbed Paintbrush's shoulders and urged them downwards. Not one to really go against their girlfriend, Paintbrush allowed her to guide them into a new position. They whined under their breath, disappointed by the lack of kisses, but they let her make them curl up with their head in her lap. Paintbrush's face felt like it was on fire and the need to kiss her was eating them alive, but they never protested outside of quiet noises.
Fine, they'd just watch the movie. As soon as it was over, though, they would be all over Lightbulb.
