"Love at first sight is like impossible!" Zoey exclaimed. "I mean if I can't get love after three months of talking, how can you just instantly fall in love with someone?"
Parker nodded along as Zoey went on her rant. "Are you talking about that Rudy guy again?" Parker let out a small sigh, this was the fourth time he had heard about him today. "Yes! Oh my gosh Parks, he's so... UGH! Like we were just talking last night and he started saying he wanted us to be like open?!? Barf me out! Why can't I just find a guy who wants me for me?" Zoey wailed on as she stood up.
She had been sitting at the table outside of her favorite coffee shop for thirty minutes. She was on her lunch break at her 'Super mature adult job' as she put it to her parents. It wasn't a huge job, but the hours were nice and the people were... tolerable? Well she met her best friend, Parker, there so it wasn't so bad. And being a secretary for Valdiviann wasn't horrible.
"Listen, some guys are kinda grody, and that's just how life is sometimes," Parker declared as they began to walk back to their office building, "If Rudy doesn't want you and only you? Then that's his loss. But just for the record, I do absolutely believe in love at first sight. Don't you think its romantic to just see someone and think you want to spend the rest of your life with them?" Parker added.
"I still think it's impossible, how can you know you love someone without getting to know them first?" Zoey questioned as she took a sip of her coffee. As she turned the corner, she was met with the chest of someone. She looked up to see who she just ran into only to be met with a stunning man, long black curls that covered his eyes and a blinding smile that immediately dropped when he saw someone had run into him.
"Oh my gosh! Sorry! I'm such a clutz!" Zoey yelped.
"Woah chillax, you're alright! How's your coffee? Still in the cup?" The man questioned.
"Oh yeah it's fine, thanks for asking"
"Woah, you're like a total stunner. What's your name?" Zoey felt her cheeks get hot, no one really told her she was pretty. "I'm Zoey, and you are?"
"I'm Bodhi. Bodhi Windbreaker!" He answered, "listen I gotta run but I'll see you around?"
"Yeah I'll see you around" Zoey replied before Bodhi ran off.
Maybe love at first wasn't as dumb as she thought.
