Pudding à la Mode Cookie didn't like making decisions. She wanted all of whatever you were offering. She had developed an aversion to decision making in general. Choco Drizzle Cookie handled most of the planning in their day to day life anyways. Pudding à la Mode just went along with it.
It was a simple life really. Occasionally people would ask her silly questions like if she liked her employer or her sisters better. She didn't actually know and she didn't want to decided, so she'd pretend to malfunction. No one really asked her questions anymore. She always looked like her systems broke when she was. There wasn't an obvious glitch, so it was decided to leave her the hell alone.
Until today that is.
"What do you want to order?" the street vendor asked. Pudding à la Mode stared at him with large, unblinking, yellow eyes. She felt her systems began to heat up from the emotional overload. She could feel her sisters' eyes on her. Pudding à la Mode wasn't the most stable child to exist.
"Um, kid? Do you want vanilla? Everyone likes vanilla!" the vendor offered. Pudding à la Mode's sleeves twitched. She didn't have hands necessarily, but there was a spot in her sleeves that could grab things like ice cream cones. She felt sick to her nonexistent stomach. She would rather blow up the food stand than answer.
"Why don't you just vanilla? Vanilla is delicious," Green Tea Mousse Cookie suggested. Pudding à la Mode wanted to shake her sister and scream that she wasn't helping, but she was having no such luck in the speaking department. Choco Drizzle was quiet. She handled unruly sisters, not quiet ones.
"She'll get a vanilla ice cream cone," Green Tea Mousse answered eventually. The vendor nodded and started making the ice cream cone. Pudding à la Mode rook it from him and began licking it with an absent mind. Normally she'd be all over anything with the slightest amount of sugar in it, but now it tasted like water paper in her mouth. The only thing good about eating paper was the texture.
"Let's hurry along. We don't want to get caught while in a crowd," Choco Drizzle commented. Pudding à la Mode took this as a an excuse to throw out her flavorless ice cream cone. She would get a new one with less complications next time. She should've just stolen the ice cream cart.
