    Whatever is holding Claude together, it’s on the verge of snapping. Claude’s lips wobble, his brows furrow, and he gives in to throwing himself into Dimitri’s embrace. He knows the heavy weight of the crown, they both do, and sometimes one needs someone else by their side to be able to carry it all.

    They sit like that for a minute, next to each other, with Claude hands clinging to the back of Dimitri’s light shirt like he’d disappear otherwise, and Dimitri caressing the soft brown locks, and his sweet lover’s back. He knows it’s a little horrible of him, but he smiles, feeling some sort of satisfaction that he doesn’t think will ever die. What an honor it is to be the one holding Claude in these moments.
