She lifted three fingers in front of his face, steady and unamused. “How many fingers am I holding up?”
Colin smirked, shifting on the bench despite the throb in his head. “Twenty,” he quipped, voice low, teasing.
Her unimpressed stare hit him harder than any punch he’d taken tonight. Without breaking her gaze, she turned her head toward Arch. “Looks like you still don’t know how to pick a smart fighter, Dad. This one doesn’t even know how to count.”
