In high school, Eddie had resented his little brother.
He'd thought he might take him under his wing, show him around, stick up for him when the bullies started to circle. But it turned out that the types of guys who bullied Eddie loved Steve. Steve was handsome and athletic and not smart enough to cause real trouble
(It didn't help that Steve was so pretty.)
