Thieves and such

Summary:

Another Sirius-stealing-Remus’-jumper cliché because they deserve to be domestic together.

Notes:

I got this prompt from Wolfstar comfort fest on twitter! But sadly, I will only write one. I didn’t feel any use tagging it since this will be the one and only.

Anyway. Day 8; borrowing clothes.

Sirius could feel the water streams cascading down his back, as Remus’ hand accompanies it by lightly combing it through his wet hair, untangling any knots visible. They were sitting in the bath together, a decently sized tub, really. But between his and Remus’ long legs, it felt a bit cramped. Sirius couldn’t have felt more comfortable in any other position. He could feel the warmth radiating off him, of Remus’ warm body in contrast to his own. He always had cold hands, in the slightest bit of cold weather, his touch was like ice to the skin. Remus was always happy to warm him up, like now, bathing him and rubbing his shoulders.

“There you go, love.” Remus hummed, turning the shower stream off, leaning down to place a tender kiss on his shoulder. “Squeaky clean.”

“Thanks, Moons..” Sirius leaned into the kiss, wanting to stay in the tub with him a bit more, but he could already feel his eyes drooping. “M’ gonna head to bed..”

“Alright, I’ll finish up here and be there in a bit.”

Remus nods, slightly moving to untangle their limbs from each other, one difficult task at that. Sirius stood up, already feeling a shiver coming up his spine from the cold air on his wet skin.

He stepped out of the bathroom, wrapping a towel around his waist with another one drying his hair. It was getting colder now, the weather. September had been a shift from summer to autumn, but now, he was really feeling it as he reached out to close the window in their bedroom, pulling the blinds shut. At least Halloween was coming soon.

Sirius glanced at their clothes, laid out on the bed, pulling his boxers on along with pulling his faded Led Zeppelin shirt over his head. Perhaps he got dressed too quickly, since he could feel the fabrics dampening slightly at his actions. He sat down on the edge of the bed, eyeing Remus’ jumper laid out, the woollen fabrics looking too comfortable for its own good. It would be just the thing that could warm him up, no matter how ridiculous he thought the patterns look.

Eventually, he caved and tugged it over his head, the scent of Remus immediately wafting through his senses.

“Sirius?” Remus’ voice called out, sounding amused. He was leaning against the bathroom door, in naught but a towel around his hips with his arms crossed over his bare chest. “You little thief.”

Sirius couldn’t help but flash a grin, looking down at himself and how the jumper was clearly a slight bit too big for his frame. It had looked big on Remus, not exactly sticking to his skin either, but it was like wearing a blanket over his shoulders everywhere.

“Sorry,” he chuckled, pulling the sleeves up and revealing his forearm.  “Looked comfortable. Couldn’t help myself.”

“S’ fine, you can borrow it. What’s mine is yours anyway.”

Remus was smiling to himself as well, walking over to the bed and getting dressed in his pajamas, undoubtedly getting the effects of the Autumn air as well, unable to stay naked for so long.

“Yeah, I pull it off better than you can,” Sirius said smugly, pulling on his socks. He didn’t really remember whose they were, their sock drawer was a mess anyway.

“You do not.”

“Yes, I do.”

“Maybe.”

His lips curved into a victorious grin, and Remus must’ve noticed how smug he looked, leaning over to kiss his dampened head. “Don’t let that inflate your ego so much, I think it’s already big enough to have its own moon.”

“Oh, shove off, Lupin!” He shoved Remus, lightly, of course. And only on the shoulder.

“It’s true!”

Sirius earned a shove back, but he wasn’t one to back down, tackling Remus down on top of the covers, trying to pin and wrestle the struggling man below him down in place. “You’re so easy, Moons! Practically nothing against my strength!”

Ultimately, Remus shoved him off and onto the empty side of the bed with a yelp, breaking in a fit of giggles and sloppy kisses to the lips. “So I can seriously take it? The jumper?” Sirius asked, his hands coming up to his jaws.

Borrow, Sirius, I said borrow.”

Remus huffed, his expression feigning annoyance. He kissed Sirius on the bridge of his nose, his calloused hand tracing his shoulders, thumb rubbing his collarbone which was the result of the jumper’s wide neck.

Potato-potahto,” Sirius said back cheekily. There was a good chance Remus would likely never be able to wear it again, ever.
