I gaze into the deep blue ocean
On a cold winter night, merely waiting
For an unknown amount of time
I wait, listening to the waves
Crashing into the sand
I shiver as the cold
ocean air surrounds me
My warm breath turns cold as
I utter two words I’m sorry
I turn away from the
Cold blue ocean as snowflakes
Slowly drift down, A single tear
Runs down my cheek as
It’s another lonely year
