The mission was simple, they had to review a campus that was about to be demolished and report any anomaly in it. A troop of 20 policemen was assigned to the task. There was not much information about what had brought the campus to that state, it had been relinquished by all its occupants two months before the owner sold it. The campus was used as a children's villa or orphanage, the owner was a very eccentric man who constantly sent children with talents to different educational centers, so they were surprised that no one had information about the spontaneous cause of the abandonment of said campus. They had already revised the most part, only the main building was missing, which apparently were the administrative offices. They went to it with the idea that they would find some clue in it.
They found nothing; every single computer had exploded, literally speaking.
Each room was empty, and each piece of furniture had completely disappeared, it almost seemed that no one had ever used that building. The cops were about to leave until a gurgling stopped them, it came from inside a wall. They followed the noise looking for its origin until one, in a stumble, discovered a secret lever. The wall slid and they saw the only control panel that appeared to be inside the walls.
Most of the text under the buttons was erased, except one "open all". They pressured it believing that he would open doors that could give answers.
Within a few seconds they began to hear metallic squeaks, they sent a few to check the upper floors while most remained in the receiver. But when no one came back after a few minutes, they began to worry.
Even so, they did not have time to go after them, because through the communicator they reported that they had an intruder to catch.

Some of the policemen went straight up to where they had previously seen an extremely conspicuous door, it almost appeared to be just a metal plaque on the wall if it weren't for a control panel next to it. By the time it went up it was already open showing an airlock with a sanitization system and later another door with a complicated closing system. That was common in laboratories thatinvestigate delicate or dangerous things; therefore, it did not fit at all in a children's villa, not even in the administration building.
Inside there were many computers still intact but the most striking thing was the container that was in the center of the room. It appeared to be an ancient torture instrument called the Iron Lady, but it was much larger than the tallest human they had ever seen, it had many wires connected to it and a screen next to it showed the vital signs of whatever was inside. Before he could do anything else, his companions came to his side, scaring him a bit because of how focused he was on the container.
- The other doors looked like those horror movie laboratories, they even had
old blood and stuff. What have you-- Wow !! - one of them tried to joke but
interrupted himself when he saw the iron lady
- Forget that, we have to report this -said the first one
- Is there something alive there?!! -other police shouted
- Shut up and--
However, before they could continue, the lady opened up. From within it came a large amount of cold mist, which, when dispersed, revealed another container with a humanoid figure inside it. This humanoid was bound by the locks that can be seen in high-security prisons. Contained in water, making the person completely immobile; as such, all their muscle mass is removed and, judging by how deep it was locked up, no sound or light can ever reach there.
The voice from the computer announced the release of that person, and all the shackles that contained him were opened at the same time that the water was drained. Once the capsule was opened, it was revealed that this person was a young albino girl. She had snow-white hair and pale skin; even her eyebrows and eyelashes were white. Her hair is very long and reaches her hips.
The girl initially fell to her knees and then crawled until she held onto one of the monitors near her container. Leaning on it, she was able to raise his head and reveal that her eyes were a light purple color. At that moment she took off the muzzle that she had and finally she spoke.
- Whhhoo...aaar…are y..? -the girl murmured looking at them
The closest policeman jumped when they heard her voice. It sounded hoarse and scratchy, possibly because of the time she had not used it. When she got closer, they could notice her appearance. She had deep sunken cheeks, twig-like wrists, long dirty fingernails, and was covered almost from head to toe with poorly treated scars.
- Excuse me, lady, what's your name? -dared to ask one police
She stared at them for a few moments, then looked around the room before looking at them again and babbling an answer.
- ...Ga, lina... Ahh, Altair Bychhh...kov -answered the girl bowing slightly, something that was common among high-ranking people.
- Miss Galina, can you tell us what happened here or why were you in there? -asked another police
- On my... birthday, while... I was in the gar, garden... the house star, ted to burn... some strange man aff, appeared and I passed... out. When I wo, ke up, I was... far away from... from home -explained the girl walking towards them.
That confused them a lot, but at the same time, it answered many doubts. Two years ago, there was an "accident" in the house of a prestigious family in which it was declared that the youngest daughter died, however, the body was never found or her identifier indicated her death so they could never confirm her death; nor was it known who or what caused the fire, so the case was ultimately taken as a simple "accident." Now, with that family's daughter in front of them, they could solve the case and, since that family was so wealthy, they could earn good pay for finding their missing daughter.
- I do not know how long I've been here but... -
They were so concentrated in their thoughts that they did not realize when the girl got dangerously close to them and then they could see another trait of her, the smile that she showed them, apart from being inhumanly wide, she also had sharp teeth comparable to those of a wild animal.
She jumped on one of the cops and ripped part of his neck off in a bite.
