Summary
In this two-part alternate ending to Chapter 22, the night Tairn begins channeling to an unshielded Violet, she doesn’t just pass Liam in the dorm hallway—she seeks him out. Overwhelmed by the surge of lust and raw power flooding through her, Violet and Liam share the kind of magnetic, fleeting night they deserved (open door, spicy scene - sue me!). The following morning unfolds from Xaden’s POV, when Liam, overcome with guilt and worry, confronts him about what happened. Let's just say, Xaden handles it exactly as well as you’d expect. Chaos ensues and Garrick, Bodhi, and Violet all intervene. It goes without saying that the dragons are so exasperated by his human drama, they stay out of it entirely.
