Chapter Text
Other Layla came into consciousness, and looked at the thesis paper that her morning self had written.
"Let's see... A Study of Kuuvahki, Its Properties and Relationship to Celestial Bodies... Layla... Did you wake up late again and get handed the last and most difficult paper?"
Daytime Layla had written some introductory paragraphs, mostly gleamed from existing literature, which was evident from the mountain of books that laid on the table with, the relevant pages bookmarked.
"Hmm... The problem now is that there isn't much empirical data available," Other Layla picked out a kamera borrowing form, "Time for a field trip."

"Dormi, cara Columbula..."
... Pretty song... ugh... I should have paid more attention in the Haravatat Language electives...
Layla woke up in a sea of flowers, and groggily looked up at, a giant Moon????
"W-Where am I... W-Wait I was in the middle of a paper!"
Layla looked at herself, she had a kamera in hand, pen and paper and her thesis, and she breathed a sigh of relief.
"O Columbula mea..."
Layla turned to look at the source of the divine lullaby, and saw a maiden wreathed in heavenly garments, flanked by a court of what should be Kuuhenki if the books she had read were correct. Was this maiden 'The Stars' Blessing'?
"P-Pretty..."
A group of kuuhenki flocked around Layla, slightly startling her.
"They like you," said the maiden.
"T-These um, kuuhenki?"
"Yes, they brought you here. They tell me that you are writing something."
"Ah... It's a research paper I'm working on... It's about kuuvahki."
Columbina sat, silent for a while.
"Kuuvahki has two main types," A red and blue kuuhenki appeared before Layla as Columbina explained.
"Y-Yes!" Layla rapidly scribbled down notes.
"I suppose you will need evidence. You may take pictures."
Once again, The Stars' Blessing had blessed Layla, who would receive tutelage from the Moon Maiden herself.

"T-Thank you very much!" Layla bowed in front of Columbina, "B-But I don't have anything to give you..."
"... A picture." Columbina pointed at Layla's camera. "One picture of yourself and I, so that I may remember today."
A picture, of the Moon Maiden and her pupil, Layla. And so, the first student of Columbina school graduated, completing the Kuuvahki crash course with flying colours.
It is said that the Moon Maiden is wise in the ways of lunar phenomenon, representing the height of Kuuvahki. Seek her out, if you wish to master kuuvahki.
