Now that Belos had been defeated, Willow spent nearly every day taking time tending to her overgrown plants at Hexside. It was going to take a lot of work to get them back to a healthy size, but she didn't mind showing them the extra love. It was nice to take the time to just focus on caring for plants with all the chaos on trying to rebuild the Boiling Isles.
Willow heard footsteps behind her and turned to see Hunter approaching her. He looked a bit nervous. She gave him a kind smile, knowing that he probably felt like he was bothering her for stopping by.
"Hey Hunter! Good to see you!" she says
"Oh, hi Willow. Good to see you too..." Something was definitely on his mind. He looks away, grabbing his arm.
"Come sit down next to me" she says warmly. "Did you want to talk about something?"
Hunter nods as he sits down to the left of Willow. "I... have been thinking about how I'm uh... a grimwalker."
Willow stopped what she was doing and turned to look at him in the eye, showing he has her full attention.
"I... I don't know how to accept it. It's just... it's..." Hunter's lip trembled as tears started to well up in his eyes, looking downcast.
Immediately, Willow gets closer and gives him a tender, tight hug. "It's alright Hunter. It's okay. We all love you no matter what, we promise."
Hunter nods teary-eyed and rests his head on her. He wishes he can say more, but the words won't come. For now, he just rests and lets out his emotions.
