Summary
"I just heard you scream," Louis insists, crouching down beside him. The weight of his gaze is unrelenting and Harry refuses to meet it, afraid he'd see right through him. "What happened?"
"I just scared myself," He mumbles in response. He pushes himself up to stand, noting that the ghost seemed to be gone, and wills his heart to slow down. "That's all. Sorry."
"Okay." Louis looks reluctant, but he doesn't push — for once. "If you say so. You just kind of look like you saw a ghost."

Harry can see ghosts. He runs his grandma's antique shop and is friendly with the locals, though he never really believes he can truly fit in. Louis is a new hire in the antique shop while also being the one person in Harry's childhood who never made him feel like he was different. While balancing pumpkin festivals and inventory, Harry balances terribly crafted lies and Louis' willingness to look past things that just don't make sense.
Somewhere along the way, Harry thinks he can learn to let himself be seen, too.
