- Absolutely a theater kid both derogatorily and positively, he breaks out into songs from musicals if something reminds him of one. Half of everyone enjoys it, the other half is TIRED. But he is a very committed actor & the poets love going to his performances.
- Neil has ADHD. He struggles to pay attention in classes like Trig, but more literary based subjects he soars at.
- When Neil gets a part in a play he hyper focuses on it extremely hard. There have been times he accidently stayed up all night studying his lines or watching other productions for inspiration.
- Neil uses a lot emoticons when texting.
- Since Neil and his father are no longer in contact, he looks to Mr. Keating as a father figure.
- Neil is gay. It took him literally a month after Todd started going to Welton to realize this.
- Neil is very extroverted. Pretty much most people at Welton like him or at least respect him.
- Since Neil was disowned by his father after the play, Neil lives with Mr. Keating and spends the breaks at his house.
- He has such a massive crush on Todd it's insane. Charlie has to listen to Neil talk about him all the time.
- Neil LOVES Glee. He references it like a million times a day.
- Most of Neil's music playlist is just songs from musicals.
- Neil cannot drive for shit. He's failed his drivers license test 3 times. That being said he WILL carpool and he will fuck it UP.
- Neil likes to write letters to his friends on their birthdays or special occasions.
- After Neil was disowned, he started going to therapy and has been doing a lot better since.
_ Neil has a memory box that contains little gifts and stuff he's been given over the years that he cherishes.
- When Neil is stressed he tends to zone out more easily. He also usually picks at his nails.
- Neil paints his nails! usually he paints them a dark red because he thinks it looks nice.
- Charlie is the first person Neil came out to.
_ Whenever Neil told the rest of the poets literally none of them were surprised. Not even Todd.
- Neil was also the first person to admit that he wasn't straight out of all the poets. He was scared shitless but everyone welcomed him with loving arms.
- Todd has to drive him to play rehearsals.
- Neil likes thrifting. a lot of his clothes are thrifted & he likes going with Todd to local thrift shops.
- Sometimes if Neil finds something he thinks one of his friends will like he buys it and gives it as a gift.
- While Neil does enjoy writing poems, he enjoys listening to his friends read theirs more because he likes seeing his friends express their feelings and themselves and just generally see them happy to do so comfortably more.
- Neil is a teensy bit of a people pleaser, and will occasionally take on too many tasks at once for others. He is trying to work on this and put more focus on him above everything else.
