    Most of the Shadow Company was hand-picked by Graves. 

    But slowly, Shepherd had been buying loyalty, shifting orders, and testing Graves's patience. But before things can escalate, the commander calls back the one man he knows will not fail him. 
    Strix—silent, precise, loyal to him. 

    And while Shepherd’s eyes are solely on 141 as his enemies, the Shadow Company is restructuring itself. A beast lying in wait to take him down.

     

    It's a reader insert, but Reader is once again male. This happens parallel to other modern warfare fanfics of the series, but you don't have to read them first (but it would help understand some pairings and other things). Reader has no name, but he takes up the call sign 'Strix.' Also, Roach is very much alive in my universe.
