Hello! I’m sure none of you know me, but that’s okay.
I’ve come to life series and hermitcraft fans help, since most are kind!
My issue is that my father set up a screentime. I’m okay with that. However, he also can see what I’m doing in real time, can see what websites I’ve used, what apps I’ve used, I’m not able to use apps past 9pm, and I’m not able to communicate with anyone other than using their phone number. I’ve already been screamed at for using discord and twitter (X). I however, do want discord back. It is my main source of talking to my friends, both online and irl. I’ve been told not to talk to strangers but those strangers quite literally saved my life. I can no longer use any apps for more than 2 minutes without my father questioning me. I do not like the fact that I’m using my school iPad to type this. I do not feel safe in my home. I cannot do anything to stop this, and I’m not quite sure what to do.
Just to add on, my parents are, in a way, homophobic. They do not think women can be gay. They are also majorly Christian and I’ve started using religion as a coping mechanism, and I do not enjoy doing so. I cannot read any of my favourite fics, which may seem like a small problem, but it genuinely means a lot to me when I can read something I relate to, which happens only in this app. Ao3 isn’t the place I should be going for help, but I legitimately have no where to go for help. Please give me advice. I love my parents, but I hate what they’re doing.
