   Summary

   Mori Ougai should've never taken that job position, but he had no choice. And now here he was, a medical student in debt turned into a military surgeon.

   No one ever has a choice when war approaches. And even as his hands are slick with blood, eyes wild and teeth too sharp, he is kind still.

   And that is the worst thing he could ever be. But he is kind, and war is cruel.

   And Ougai must keep young Yosano-san alive. Safe. He must.

   Children are important, the future.

   Unfortunately for everyone, Ougai's version of safe is fucking questionable at best and animalistic at worst.

   Elise does not help.

   Or, Cannibal Mori in the Great War, ft baby Yosano and eldritch Elise.
