Chapter Text
The sun was coming up over the horizon,it poured through the farmers window. He woke up slowly then saw the light from the sun,it was a bit too bright for his liking but he couldn't do anything about it,he got up and out of bed then stretched his entire body. He chuckled softly as he heard his dog—Snickers barking outside,he went over to the TV; he first watched the weather Channel then the fortune teller. The weather was going to be beautiful tomorrow with clear skies while the sun shined bright. Thankfully today the spirits were in a good mood so he was going to have luck on his side. He made a quick breakfast of bacon and eggs, afterwards he left his cabin and got to work on his crops.
He slices through all the wheat that he had planted previously,he picked some delicious tomatoes, corn and peppers. He ran over to the selling box to put all his crops in however he left one pepper in his hands,he looked at the time; six fifty am. He smiled then rushed through the mess that was his front yard(he really needs to clean it) so he could go over to Marnies farm. He saw the house with the big red barn right beside it then he saw Shane come out. The farmer was overjoyed and ran over to him.
"Hey Shane!!! I got ya something" Sammy told him then handed him the pepper.
"How'd you know these were my favorite? Thanks Sammy.." Shane thanked him happily as he took it and ate it.
"Dude..we've been dating for over a year now...of course I'd know what you'd like!" Sammy chuckled while walking with him,he made sure to pet the cows that Marnie owned. Shane looked away from Sammy clearly embarrassed by what he said. "What're you gonna be doing today anyway?" He asked the farmer curiously, they were now walking on the stone path near Jodis house. Sammy thought about it for a little while then answered; "I'm probably gonna do some farm work....I gotta make a silo soon so I can feed my chicken Pepper properly." Sammy smiled while they now walked on the dirt path near the graveyard. Shane was surprised,it looked like he didn't know that he had a chicken which made Sammy laugh quietly. "Would you like to see her after work?" He asked curiously as they were now by the mayor's house.
"That would be nice.." said Shane with a tired smile, suddenly Sammy darted off in a random direction without saying a word. Shane was confused but he just shrugged it off,Sammy was a weird one but that's what he liked about him and if it wasn't for that weirdness they probably wouldn't be together.
A few minutes pass and Sammy appeared once more right next to him, holding around ten or fifteen berries. "HI HELLO!!! Sorry I left but I saw a bunch of berries and I wanted some" He explained happily which made Shane chuckle softly. They walked in a comfortable silence as they passed by the library and the blacksmith until they got to joja mart. Sammy never liked this place especially after the one night that one of the staff found him passed out in the mine (they charged him 385g just for finding him!) However he understood that Shane needed the money especially for Jas.
"Alright, see you later Sammy!" Shane bid him a farewell but Sammy wasn't satisfied,he grabbed Shane's arm and gave him a kiss on the cheek. The only issue was that he was eating berries and he hadn't cleaned around his mouth so he stained Shane's cheek with berry juice.
"Ugh..Sammy!" Shane groaned with annoyance while trying to clean his cheek. Sammy just laughed softly then left to go work on his farm,Shane smiled as he watched him leave,he really did love him.
