Work Text:

Georgia was sitting in the balcony, drinking some wine while watching the night. When she notices someone climbing out of a window in the house in front.

"Marcus again.." she used her goggles to check.

That.. wasn't Marcus. That was Max. Where would she be going?

Georgia had a bad feeling about this. Normally she'd stay out of it, but something about it didn't feel right.

Maxine opened the garage, and took Marcus's bike. Driving away. Just trying to calm the train of thoughts in her head.

Georgia got into her car and started following her. Where could she possibly be going at this hour? A party?

Max pulled over, next to some building. And walked up to the top.

She stood on top of the roof. Looking down. What even is there left for her? Everyone hates her.

"Maxine?"

A sweet southern accent was heard. She knew who that was. Yet, Georgia was left unanswered.

"Maxine.."

She repeated.

"N-No one loves me.."

Max mutters with a voice crack. Unable to turn around to look at her.

"Oh Max..."

Georgia's voice called out, she knew that feeling far too well.

"Could you step away from the edge so we could talk?"

Again, she was left unanswered.

"..Please?"

A nod was the only reply she got from Max, as she turned towards her. Slowly lifting her head to face the blonde woman standing in front of her, with an almost comforting expression.

Max couldn't hold back anymore. She just ran to hear arms and started sobbing.

"Awh.."

Georgia's voice called out, stroking her hair as she sat down on the floor with max in her arms. The only person to show care for Max in the last couple of weeks.

Max couldn't stop crying. Sobbing and sniffling like a child.

"it's okay... It's okay.. I get it.."

Georgia said, barely louder than a whisper.

Max nods. Struggling to breathe.

"It's okay.. breathe.."

She took a deep breath and let it out, her breath shaking. "Thank you.." she muttered.

"Of course.."

Georgia stroked her like she was her own daughter. Hugging her tightly.

She had no idea how much Max needed that.
