"Jake... What did you do...?" Amy feared for the worst. Jake peralta surprises are never good. "Now don't get mad, but I invited your boyfriend teddy here! Y'know since I invited Sophia I thought you should have someone here to." Jakes says looking proud of himself. Amy's stomach drops. Teddy. Her really abusive and sexual boring boyfriend teddy. She never told anyone what he does to her, and doesn't want to now. "You what...?" Amy says her face dropping. "Yeah I thought- wait whats wrong-?" Jake says but Amy doesn't answer. "It's nothing..." She says hesitantly. "You sure?" "Yeah. I'm gonna go to my room. I'm really tired." "Okay but come down when he gets here cause I got us four reservations at the diner they have here!" He says pointing to it. "Okay, will do.."she says heading up the stairs, as Sophia passes by towards Jake. "What was that about?"Sophia asks Jake. "I don't know... But I think she's not telling the full truth." "Really? I mean she did seem nervous when she was walking away- what happened?"Sophia asks with a big of confusion and concern. "I invited her boyfriend teddy, and we're gonna have a double date.. but she doesn't seem to like that idea that much." He says just as confused. "Maybe she just doesn't like surprises? You could've told her beforehand." "Yeah I probably should've."
Back with Amy in her room....
Amy is now really nervous and possibly on the verge of a panic attack. She was going to leave teddy for good. He is really abusive to her In many ways, physically, emotionally, and yes. Even sexually. He always had a way of managing to make her feel weak, and he always is able to be taller than her and do things she doesn't want to think about. Amy looks at a scar on her arm under her sleeve. It was from him, one day after she got back from work, he was drunk and he had a bottle and well... You know. It makes Amy feel sick remembering it. And he always said things to her to manipulate her. And he has done worse things... Like rape... It sickens her even more to think about it. She just can't believe that Jake invited him up here, I mean- teddy and Jake don't exactly know each other that well. And she was pretty sure he still had feelings for her even when he got a new girlfriend. And she was pretty sure she felt the same way. When he said it, before he went undercover, she had to stop herself from blushing too much. Just then, there was a knock at the door. She quickly pulled her sleeve down to open it, and to no surprise, it was teddy. "Hey babe you ready to go down?"he says calmly smirking. "Uh- no.. not-" she hesitates saying, but before she can finish he grabs her arm harshly and doesn't let go until she's out of the room. When they get down stairs, Jake and Sophia are already sitting at the table with sort of concerned looks. After they sit down for a quiet moment, Sophia says "soooo... Teddy how did and Amy meet?" "Funny story, we met at my grandma's house."he says putting his arm around Amy tightly, and she trys to remove it but it's too tight and she can't. Jake and Sophia notice instantly. "I can't watch this anymore. Amy I need to talk to you privately."Jake says standing up quickly with Amy.
"What are you two going to talk about?" He asks sorta glaring. "The vase- I mean case! The case!"he says trying and failing to sound casual. As Amy and Jake walk somewhere more private, teddy is still looking at them both while Sophia looks suspicious of him. "Amy I need you to be honest with me okay?""Okay..."she says hesitantly. "What has teddy done to you? You look really scared around him. "Nothing..."she says to fast to be believable. "Nothing? Amy, we've worked together for almost 4 years, I know you're lying. You can talk to me."he says softly. Amy hesitates then says "fine..."she proceeds to tell him everything he's done to her, all the abuses, and she even shows him the scar. Jakes eyes widen, and his jaw clenches, and all he does is pulls her into a hug, and of course Amy starts crying. After a while of her crying while hugging him, he slightly lets go and says "let's go back over to the table. But not to eat, to confront him. Mainly for me to confront him.""okay..." She says as they start to walk over. "Oh great! Your back!" He says smiling to wide. "...yeah we're back. And teddy I have one question for you. How does it feel being abusive to a wonderful person like Amy, and I don't just mean physically, no no no, I also mean sexually and emotionally. And you raped her?!" He says trying to be calm. "I'm sorry what?"Sophia says with concern all over her face. "Oh please I'm a cop, I can do whatever I want."he says smirking. "Okay first off that's not how being a cop works." Jake says already losing his cool. "Yeah as a lawyer it is my job to say, all of that is illegal." After that everything is a blur to Amy. Teddy and Jake start getting into a fight and before you know it... Teddy is about to punch Jake. Amy wants to intervene. "Jake you really don't have to-" Amy starts. "no Amy I do. He is hurting you, and he is treating it like some...some joke! And he is acting like he can do whatever he wants! He can't just-"Jake says but before he can finish teddy punches him in the face, cause his nose to bleed. "Ow-? What the fuck?! Did you just punch me?" He says holding his nose. "Yeah I did. What are you gonna do about it?"teddy scoffs. Jake clenches his fists. "Jake..."Sophia warns. But to late. Jake punches teddy in the face, not as hard as teddy punched him but hard enough to leave a mark. "Okay that's it, jake and Amy we are leaving, teddy it's best if you should leave." Sophia says calmly. "I'm not leaving Amy,"he says, but before he can finish Sophia practically pushes Jake and Amy out with her but before Jake fully is out, he says "oh, and you'll be hearing from captain holt." As they leave Jake and Amy keep exchanging glances, worried about each other. When they get back to Jake's room Amy asks "are you okay..? You didn't have to do that for me..." "Yeah I'm okay, but I should be asking you that question, are you okay? And also yes I had to do that cause no one else would." Amy just smiles at that. "I don't know how I am..."
The next day Jake and Amy get back to the precinct. Jake and Amy see holt getting off the phone with someone and walking over to them. "Jake, Amy, my office. Now." After a while of them quietly walking to his office Jake breaks the silence by saying "someones mad..."
"Getting in a fight with another police officer? Peralta what were you thinking?! And Amy, why didn't you stop him? I am disappointed in you Santiago." Holt says angerly. "With all due respect sir, he had it coming."Jake says calmly. "And why is that?". Jake hesitates then says "he hurt Amy sir. In all sorts of ways. And he thinks he can get away with everything just cause he is a cop." Jake says looking pissed off at this point. "That's not an excuse to punch him." "He punched me first!" There's a moment of silence then "this changes everything. Get out of my office, I'm gonna make a few calls."
