Chapter Text

It had been weeks since the world had fallen to One. She had gained the powers of both Two and Four thanks to a deal with Pencil. Now there were only a few objects left that were yet to succumb to her rule. Two of those were the iconic duo, Winner and Loser. They had reunited shortly before One got a hold of the powers, and were now struggling to stay alive in this crazy world.

With her newfound abilities, One was bringing life back to dead objects and using them for her bidding. It could range from things like finding resources to causing absolute havoc. But right now, they only had one task from their leader:

Destroy Winner and Loser.

One couldn’t stand the thought of objects fighting against her. So she sent her subjects, known as the Dealmakers, to take care of them. At all costs. Luckily, Winner and Loser could hold their own against the swarms of enemies.

“You doing good over there, buddy?” Winner shouted, as they crushed another Dealmaker.

Loser replied with an “All good” before turning back and hitting a Dealmaker with a lit torch, setting it on fire. The hordes of them seemed to be never ending. It was easy to just lay down and give up, letting yourself succumb and become a Dealmaker. But surrender wasn’t an option for these two. Not today. Because there was something, no, someone they were looking for.

When the two were camping out by the hotel one night (or day?) they heard something. It was coming from the hotel. They didn’t have the time to investigate, since they knew the Dealmakers would be reviving soon. But they heard what sounded like sobs. Someone was alive. Now it was up to the two of them to find them.

Finally, the last Dealmaker in sight went down. Winner and Loser then regrouped, making sure the other was unharmed. “Are we sure they’re all gone?” Winner then asked.

Loser nodded and said, “Looks like it. To the hotel?”

Winner replied with, “Yep. Let’s move.” The duo headed off for the hotel, to hopefully find the person they heard.

Inside the vents of the hotel, Grassy sat, sobbing violently. He’d been up there for weeks. He hoped for a miracle, anything, to happen. He had been attacked by a strange blue version of Fanny, only barely able to hold her off long enough to escape. He was scared. Horrified even. Why was this happening? What was even going on? He wanted Snowball back. Or anyone to show up. But nobody ever did.

And perhaps nobody ever would.
