Summary
Almost ten years ago, over half-empty glasses of whiskey and the haze of late-night laughter, Harvey and Donna made a ridiculous deal: if they're not married by thirty-five, they’ll marry each other. Neither of them thought it would actually matter — Harvey didn’t believe in marriage, and Donna wasn’t sure she believed in Harvey, but life had other plans. Years later, when the deal resurfaces, Harvey brushes it off as if it were nothing more than a drunken joke. Donna, however, remembers every word — and she knows exactly what it implied. Yet even as she reminds him, it doesn’t seem to change anything. Because deep down, they both feel it: the deal was never just a scrap of paper. It was a promise, the start of something neither of them could walk away from.
