Work Text:
He doesn’t remember how he ended up here, but for some reason he was sitting beside Ramb who was currently showing him that game project he was secretly working on behind Tenna’s back.
Though Chip paid no mind to the game, instead he could only focus on how the light of it hit Ramb’s face, showcasing how genuinely happy he looked for once. He could also see Ramb’s mouth move, knowing he was talking, but he couldn’t focus on his words at all, seemingly too invested in his face to hear them as anything else but background noise.
After a second, Ramb finally looked towards Chip, looking to him for an answer. Chip could only blink before he realized that he hadn’t been listening at all, only simply saying, “No.”
“You don’t hate it, luv?”
Shit. The one time he should’ve said yes… He just stared before he shook his head, “No, I do.”
“Oh, luv, you’re too readable. I know exactly what you mean.”
Chip was confused. Why was Ramb acting like this? He should’ve aid something like, ‘Better luck next time,’ or, ‘What don’t you like, luv?’ He had no words to say in response, so Ramb continued.
“You love it as much as you love me.”
Chip felt his face heat up, looking stunned at Ramb’s assertion before he tried to refute, “Why would I ever love you? You’re merely just an outlet with nowhere to plug into.”
“You don’t need to pretend to be so mean, luv,” Ramb leaned in, their faces mere centimeters apart, “Anyone can see your affection towards little ol’ me.”
“You’re wrong!” Chip’s face grew redder, trying to lean away from Ramb, “I don’t have anything like that for you! I hate you!”
“It’s okay, luv,” Ramb touched his shoulders, the touch as warm as a heater would be, forcing their heads to touch so his empty socket could stare into Chip’s eye, “I love you just the same.”
Chip should’ve pushed him off, should’ve told him how foolish he was to think these things, should’ve probably hit him over the head for touching him like this… But he felt like he couldn’t do anything, the warmth from Ramb’s hands starting to spread to his arms and chest, mouth slightly agape as he only looked at Ramb with confusion in his eye.
Ramb then pushed their heads together fully, mouths smashing together in a rough kiss, the warmth now spreading from Chip’s mouth to the rest of his face as he found himself kissing Ramb back without even thinking about it, hands reaching under his arms to grab his back and push him closer to himself so their bodies were touching at every point they could.
Chip couldn’t pull away, his own body working against him to force him to keep kissing Ramb, a fuzzy warmth running throughout his entire body now, tickling his brain with a pleasant static feeling. He couldn’t breathe yet he felt no urgency to, no need to at all in fact, only the need to keep going as long as they could.
He could somehow hear Ramb’s voice perfectly clear despite the fact that their mouths were locked together, “Does it feel good, luv?”
Chip could only repeat a thousand yes’s inside his head, not caring anymore about putting his front up because everything felt too good.
“I know, luv, I know. Let it all out. Show me everything you have.”
Chip then felt something akin to a ribbon slip into his mouth, slowly trailing down his throat, somehow not choking him as he felt it slide deeper inside of himself like it was exploring every inch of his insides. Instead of freaking him out, he loved everything he could feel from it, wanting, no, begging for more.
He heard a chuckle, though he couldn’t tell if it was from him or Ramb, before he felt the hands once on his shoulders move to his chest, slowly melting inside of him as he closed his eye, letting himself feel them ignite his insides with a burning feeling in alarm at the foreign intrusion.
“Your heart is cracked, luv, I can see that,” And when Chip opened his eye, he saw that Ramb had pulled away from the kiss, gently holding a red akin to his dark red Ace of hearts between two of his fingers, seeing that there was a part of the card ripped off. He watched as Ramb put said part into his mouth, the sound of a kiss ringing in the air before he pulled the card back out, good as new.
Then he placed the card into Chip’s mouth, Chip swallowing it without any issue.
“It feels good to let people in, innit?”
Chip nodded, feeling something akin to a heartbeat pounding in his chest.
“I love you,” Chip said out of nowhere, the words echoing.
“I love you too,” Ramb’s echoed as well as he now simply hugged Chip, grip tight, Chip feeling like he was suffocating as his grasp just kept tightening and tightening.
“I love you,” Ramb started to repeat over and over, “I love you. I love you. I love you.”
Chip could feel tears spill from his eyes, not knowing why he was crying, before he heard his own body starting to crack from the pressure yet he could feel no pain, only joy from being touched so personally.
He looked to their side to finally see the screen, seeing it was only displaying the words, “YOU DON’T DESERVE THIS.”
He could only laugh at it, Ramb pulling away from the hug to catch Chip’s attention and stop his laughing, seeing that Ramb’s face was now cracking itself, continuing to do so as he asked, “What do you deserve, luv?”
“I don’t know,” Chip only responded, feeling his body slowly start to lose pieces of itself.
“Is it me? Is it death? Is it love? Please, luv, you have to tell me,” Ramb begged as his face began to lose pieces of itself too.
“I DON’T KNOW!!!” Chip suddenly screamed in horror.
He then suddenly woke up, both eyes shooting open as he realized he was finally back in the real world, panting as he regained his senses and realized he was back where he had let himself pass out, one of the hallways he remembered.
He shook his head, trying to forget the dream as he forced himself to stand up, closing his bad eye as he rubbed the sleep out of the other one.
He did not want to dissect the meaning of that dream now, or really ever, so he set off to go do his job to try to get it off his mind, making sure that he’d avoid Ramb for the day the best he could.
