The first thing noticeable was the smell. Intense, putrid, familiar. The second was the sensation, tight, burning, oddly light. The third was the taste of iron. The fourth was the sound, stuffed, muffled, and a long high pitched ring.
Lead eyelids open to a rush of dizzying light, a throbbing head and rolling nausea.
A white semi transparent rectangle is floating-a bit too close for comfort- above.
..…What?

A sudden robotic voice was bombarding nonsense. And it definitely wasn't helping the onset of overstimulation.
A couple of painful blinks later as an attempt to get on ANY train of thought, a single thought occurred.
This thought was just as quickly interrupted by yet another piercing sound.
THUD!
“YOUNG MASTER! YOU'RE AWAKE!”
Turning painfully to the source of the grating trill of a voice stands a young(?) woman in attire that looks straight out of a Wuxia drama.
Below her seems to be a spilled over basin of water(?)
The woman stood there wide eyed and still before seemingly falling over herself to cross the room. Once crossed she flailed and mouthed above. Each syllable seemed to cause the throbbing to worsen and the ringing to rise. She eventually took pity and ran out the room taking her obnoxious voice with her.
Once alone(?) again the throbbing and ringing meshed together into a sort of rhythm. Lulling unconsciousness onto oneself the same way a wobbly hammer hit a nail into wood.

The second time waking up was simpler.
The nausea and the ringing had subsided.
And the ability to feel limbs had returned! Unfortunately the ability to feel the ache in them had arisen. Sitting up to FINALLY be able to look at the surrounding area a number of things stood out.
The room itself seemed to be out of a Wuxia drama as well, the kind that would belong to a rich young lord. It was quite large with a panel of wood that broke into a circle to what appeared to be a smaller working area. Closer by was… a closet and leaning up against the side was a very small wooden sword. A long branch would probably deal more of a blow.
The room was filled with the dim light of the morning and swirls of incense. Looking down, the bed was made up of a thin mattress and covered in smooth silk. Right next to the bed was a night stand with three things resting upon it. The basin of water(?) with a towel hanging off the side. A white ribbon and what appeared to be a bronze mirror. All of these didn't seem that out of place. What WAS odd was the reflection in the mirror staring back.
Staring back was a boy. A YOUNG boy. A kid.
The kid had a familiar face, unsettling so. With ink black hair that fell to the kids shoulders and silver eyes with a purple hue. Right under the kids left eye was a prominent beauty mark.
Something was wrong.
The kid reacted the same and at the same time.
Something was either wrong with the mirror or…
Eyes gazed downward and met with a tiny pair of hands.
Abruptly the single thought that wasn't able to be voiced came back.

even the voice that was forced out seemed small.
The next sound was not nearly as soft or small.

First thing first I died (?) And was relocated, transmigrated or whatever into a danmei novel. The pros and cons of this situation are the following.
Pros: it's a novel that my meimei used to rant about.
Cons : I barely remember anything from said rants. I'm a kid AGAIN. It takes place in a historical setting. And basically everything else.
Yeah….this sucks.
Let's really look back. What did my meimei say about this book?
I know it's a danmei. And…….uh who was the guy she was always talking about? Shen something? Probably the male lead or someone important. There was also a luo guy.
So one of those two is probably the main character.
What was the name of the kid I've transmigrated into? Liu Mingyu?
OK.
That's good. Probably a side character.
Maybe?
An npc? A background character?
Whatever, It doesn't matter.
I'm sitting here and this is either a very real lucid dream and or comma. Or it's my life now.
Even If I did remember it- plot be damned. I'll live my life how I please.
And to do that I need to understand. Where I am, this body, the situation- the world really.
And where better start this investigation than myself- or better to say Liu Mingyu? Looking into the bronze mirror it's a bit difficult to tell , however it's obvious Liu Mingyu is young- VERY young. My best guest would be 5 or so. Alas appearances can be deceiving.
