As the night drifts further and the darkness sinks in, the war between 3 families has finally subdued. Changhe finally claimed the throne and became the patriarch of the Dark River.
Changhe knows he doesn't deserve Su Muyu's kindness. He's failed the latter for the nth times yet when Su Muyu says he's willing to stay in Dark River to help The Other Side walk towards the light, everything seems to be stuck in the moment. All Su Changhe wants is to kiss Su Muyu. Everything Su Muyu says sounds like a love declaration to him. Even after all the things he's done, Su Muyu is still willing to forgive him, giving him another chance and even offering himself to help.
“Changhe, do you really want to lead Dark River to the other side? If so, I will calm the storm with you, I will be with you.”
Changhe was so lost at words hearing what Su Muyu said, he never expected the latter to stay. After all, he’s doing all of this so Su Muyu can finally leave and live the ordinary life he always dreams about. He never dared to wish that after all of this was over, Su Muyu would still be by his side.
Everything is too sweet, just like a daydream.. too imaginary. Changhe was still in dazed, thinking that he must be dreaming but when his lips touch Su Muyu's, the latter is so willing and even through his bashfulness Su Muyu tries to reciprocate. It drives Su Changhe absolutely insane. The person he desires the most for years, who Changhe thought would never love him back, is kissing him. Even if the world is ending today Su Changhe would still be the happiest person on the earth.
"Changhe..." Su Muyu's voice was like honey dew, soft, delicate. The way he speaks breathlessly is too alluring for Changhe. Even though Su Muyu always calls him with such a gentle voice, tonight it sounds so different, so intimate.
"Hmm?" Changhe just smiles back at him.
"Please slow down," he says sheepishly.
When their lips crash for the second time, everything suddenly becomes real. He's willing to give Su Muyu all the tenderness that's left on him. Hell, he would give the world if Su Muyu asks him to.
