Summary
Jim spun in his chair to shift his attention to Spock, hoping to maybe get a clue as to what McCoy would have to tell him. However, any thoughts of McCoy left Jim’s mind as soon as his eyes fully settled on Spock and registered the change in his usual appearance.
From each of his earlobes hung a bright green hoop. Spock was wearing earrings.
Jim felt his breath catch for a second and he quickly looked away to avoid the sudden urge to stare. Not that staring at spock would be entirely out of the ordinary for him, but he did make an effort to limit that unfortunate habit to a reasonably professional amount.
