Work Text:
Jake couldn't believe his eyes, right now there was a beautiful “woman” in front of him, well, not really a woman if we’re being honest. In reality, that woman was Albert. Jake felt stupid, he felt stupid for blushing, it was just a joke! Why was he blushing, he doesn't like men, right?
They laughed at the joke, of course, but Jake could feel butterflies in his stomach. He would never confess that, of course, he was straight…Right?
After getting home, he went to the bathroom, he looked at himself in the mirror, his cheeks were still red and he still couldn’t stop thinking about Albert
“I’m straight, I do not like him” he tried reassuring himself, but felt his heart ache as he said it “I like women, not men, not Albert, not…her”.
Days have passed and he still thought of Albert, it was like he was living rent free in his mind.
No one has to know this, he’s not a fag, and he wasn’t too.
Albert noticed that sometimes, Jake stared at him for seconds before staring away when they made eye contact. He thought it was weird, but he didn’t care that much.
He also noticed that Jake has changed a little since that day, he became more weird around him, in an awkward way.
But something he probably would never notice is that his best friend has fallen in love with him.
“Men loving men is wrong” that’s what Jake thought, or at least what he wanted to think. But secretly he would think of Albert, a lot. He felt ashamed of himself for falling in love with his best friend and thinking of him that way.
He prayed for his sinful feelings to go away, but it seemed like they would never do, because he was a sinner, and his prayers couldn’t fix what he was.
“God please forgive me for my sins, I apologize for feeling this way, I really do. I hope I can get fixed by you and walk through the path of heaven instead of the path of hell, I really want to get fixed by you, please my Lord, fix me and walk me through the path of good, Amen” he prayed every day, without getting response, but he still believed he could get fixed by God.
He wasn’t a sinner, he will get fixed soon.
