Stebbins stopped. He didn't look surprised, or scared. He tilted his head, that same infuriatingly curious gesture from the stream. "Barkovitch," he said, his voice a quiet, even tone.
"Enjoy your night, Enigma?" Barkovitch asked, the name a satisfyingly ugly thing in his mouth.
"Did you?" Stebbins's reply was instantaneous, a blow that landed with surgical precision. It was as if he was asking, ‘Did you enjoy your pathetic little power trip, you lonely, angry boy?’
"I've got everything I need to destroy you," Barkovitch hissed, taking a step closer, invading his space. "I recorded it. The whole show. I know your secret."
