Summary
Alex's costume was perfect; he was going to be a werewolf, and Henry was going to be a vampire— a perfect match for who they are. Alex's outfit is a flannel with a little fur stuck to it, fake claws, and he's been trying to put some fake claw marks on his neck for the past ten minutes. Henry’s been ready for a while, sitting on their bed. Alex keeps looking over his shoulder at Henry as he's been getting ready.
The claw marks are his biggest problem right now. He keeps trying to make the slashes look right, but they keep smudging. He needs something on his neck to make him look scarier. He wipes off his most recent attempt; his neck is getting rubbed raw and stained. Alex doesn't want to try again, but he wants the contrast. He wants the blood, and he feels like his neck is too bare.
