As much as they joke around in videos, Phil usually knows when to keep it professional. There will be innuendo and flirting, some things that came out wrong, but there is still a lime there. Or there used to be, at least. Today, Phil has been frantically searching for the line, only to get lost in exposed skin and garters and that fucking blush on Dan’s cheeks.
It’s not the first time that Dan has worn something like this. Phil has seen skirts and fishnets. He’s witnessed Dan’s exposed midriff more times than he could ever count. Sometimes he’s even watched Dan experience with make-up when they were at home and bored and Dan wanted to try something out. Therefore, it can’t be the look itself that’s throwing Phil off.
Sure, it is pretty. He’s told Dan that when they were planning the video and trying on the costumes. It’s not a surprise to Phil that Dan looks amazing as he stands besides him in the kitchen. But it’s not just that. It’s Dan’s whole demeanor that makes Phil want to throw all the professionalism out of the window and forget about the fucking camera and potentially millions of people watching them.
This look isn’t for the people. Sure, it’s going to give them views and attention and on some level, that's something Dan has always craved, but this is not about that. It's not about Phil either because at this point, Dan is well aware that Phil loves him just as much when he's wearing jeans and a ratty t-shirt. This is just about Dan and maybe that's because Phil can't keep his eyes off him.
It’s bordering on ridiculous. Phil has tried to focus on the task at hand, measuring and mixing the ingredients because even though it doesn’t matter If their banana bread turns out good, he wants it to be at least decent. Especially if it would be the only decent thing around here when Dan wants again starts swaying to music that isn’t there.
The skirts flows around Dan’s hips. He raises his arms, drawing Phil’s gaze to his midsection. There is just enough room there for him to place his hands between the skirt and the crop top, but he knows he can’t do that. They might be more open about things like that now, but Phil still won’t go for a full make-out session on camera, even if only their editor would get to see that part.
At least Phil would like to think that he has some self respect left. As soon as the bread is in the oven, he feels his control slip. Dan asks what they should do now and Phil has got a lot of ideas and none of them involve cleaning the mess they’ve made in the kitchen.
Phil ends up giving a shrug instead. He knows that there would be nothing wrong with voicing his ideas. If he’s lucky, Dan is just as down for it as he is. Phil’s outfit might not be equally as sexy, more of an actual costume than the whole vibe that Dan is giving off, but Dan might still find him attractive enough in it to let Phil take him to bed later.
Even if it’s just to reminisce about their first halloween together all those years ago when they did exactly the same. Phil thought he’d be more caught up in memories today, but so far, the present has been way too compelling. And it's starting to be even more so when Dan turns off the camera and mutters something about battery saving.
Sure. So that's what they’re calling it now. It almost sounds like they're responsible adults and not two grown men dressed as femboys on the Internet. Phil doesn't feel that responsibility now though, when Dan hops up on the counter where Phil used to sit to mash the bananas.
He has to admit that Dan looks way better up there. Phil doesn't know what he's doing when he wears things like these, but with Dan it seems so natural that Phil almost forgets that Dan doesn't look like that daily.
Which probably means that Phil should make better use of times like these. The cameras are off. This is his chance to take a step closer.
Dan had crossed his legs before, but now he opens them, welcoming Phil between them. “So that’s how we’re going to spend our time, huh?”
Phil definitely wouldn’t protest that. He places his hands on Dan’s thighs, feeling the flimsy fabric of his stockings and watching as the skirt rides up when Dan spreads his legs wider to accommodate him.
This position isn’t new to them. There’s slight chance that Phil wanted to have a kitchen counter like this just for the sole purpose of being able to sit like this without banging his head against a cabinet. Having Dan up there looking like this is on a whole other level.
Up close, Dan’s face looks even more stunning. The blush spreads across his cheeks, his eyes find Phil’s and as he purses his lips, Phil can't help but lean in. His hands slip under the skirt, finding warm skin above the garter. He's so close to getting what he's been craving since Dan put on that goddamn costume that it’s even more frustrating when Dan stops him.
“You’ll ruin my make-up.”
Why would Phil give any fucks about that? Dan can’t be like this and look so cute and hot and dance around their kitchen, only to stop him just when Phil is about to finally do something about it. “I don't care.”
“I do.” Now it’s Dan who leans over, but only to press the softest kiss to Phil's lips before he pushes him away. “You can ruin me later.”
Phil is still trying to pull himself together when Dan hops down from the counter. He swirls around the kitchen island and stands next to the camera. “Are you ready for our interlude?”
No. Phil doesn't care that they usually film bits and pieces while their baked goods are in the oven. How is he supposed to concentrate when Dan has just told him that he wants Phil to ruin him?
Later. He’ll get the chance to push that skirt up Dan’s thighs and get in between them. Phil has never been the most patient person, but maybe this is worth waiting for.
He doesn't have another choice anyway when Dan turns the camera back on, unless he wants to give everyone a show. That is something he wants to keep between them. Safe and secure in their bedroom where he’ll take Dan as soon as they’ve wrapped filming for the day.
Where he’ll tell Dan once again how cute he looks when Dan is quivering beneath him. Phil feels the corner of his mouth curve upwards. That’ll be worth a little wait.
