He’s been in line for almost fifteen minutes, waiting for the tall girl in front of him to finish. Behind him, a boy with fluffy brown hair and an awkward smile was talking on the phone. He was speaking under his breath, rushed and careful. Mike leaned on the wall, glancing into those calf brown eyes.
The other boy, who was nearly a head shorter, tucked the phone into a hidden pocket. And then Mike’s eyes were caught in his, and there was a smile on the brunette's lips. A matching one wound its way onto his own mouth.
