Summary
Paladins of the Lord Undying are forbidden to fall in battle, but the plasma bolt that slips through a chink in the power armour of Paladin Ren does not understand rules.
Bound by oath to serve his Lord, Paladin Ren is resurrected by his suit's systems so he can return to battle-no matter how many deaths it takes. But he won't be alone. His Lord is merciful, and has inserted a comfort hologram into the neural implant in his head, to provide companionship for the long walk home.
Why, then, does the hologram look like his enemy?
