Izuku Midoriya was in the hospital, in his room, yes HIS room cause he lived there. You see, the now 15 years old teenager that he was had been dignosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulminary Disease (COPD) back when he was still 6 years old, the severe kind, the kind that made him unable to breath at random times for several minutes, now he lived in the hospital in Musutafu, a ventilator trailing behind him at every seconds of his life.
He just finished a scheduled check up with one of the Nurses that took care of him her name's Oda Taka. He was bored out of his mind, his phone, laptop and tablet were great intertainments but they could only do so much. The teen hadn't seen his mother since he was 10, she had left to America to join her husban, the good thing is that she was still paying his hospital bill. Anyway he was bored, so he decided to take a little walk to the garden, he was basically allowed anywhere that wasn't staff only as long as he had his ventilator so he made his way there with a notebook, his tablet and phone, and a pen.
Shouta Aizawa, pro hero Eraserhead hated his husban Hizashi Yamada right now, the bastard had blackmailed him into staying at the hospital because he had a stupid broken arm, the absolute shit that was Hizashi and his own son too had use cats against him, anyway Aizawa was resting his eyes in the garden when he heard a noise, opening his eyes, they were met with the ones of a teenager, a green haired teenager with a fucking ventilator trailing behind the kid.
The hero sitted himself up to take a better look at the kid, green hair and eyes, clearly sick and seemed to have a bit of trouble breathing even with the ventilator. The teen was also carying stuff, a tablet, notebook and pen as well as a phone. The teen stared at him for a bit before he spoke
"Did I wake you up? Sorry" Izuku said in a weak voice, "No you're good, I was just resting my eyes.... What brings you here? You don't have to answer if you don't want to" The hero replied and asked
"Why am I in the Garden or at the Hospital?" Izuku clarified, "Both" Aizawa answered, "I live here, I have Chronic Obstructive Pulminary Disease (COPD). As for the garden, I was bored" Izuku replied, he had this exact conversation a lot
After the answer, Aizawa watched as the teen sitted down on a little staircase. "What are you doing?" he asks, "School, I'm in college" The kid answers
"College? You look 14" Shouta was impressed, " I'm 15, and got way to much time for my own good" The 15 years old said flatly, " What subject? I work as a teacher I can help if you need it" Aizawa offered
"Quirk science, and I now you're a teacher, you work at UA right... EraserHead if my memory serve me right" Izuku calmy replied like it wasn't a big deal, "How do you know that" Aizawa's eyes narrowed
"Like I just said, I have way too much freetime and hacking UA wasn't even that hard, actually I sent an e-mail to Nedzu after I was done, giving every single problems in the code." Izuku answered then it was quiet before " Oh I am Izuku Midoriya by the way" The kid added.
The both of them stayed there, quiet as Izuku worked on his homework, while Aizawa processed that a 15 year old managed to hack into UA security system. Izuku finished his work pretty quickly, in about 10 minutes, the work consisted of making a theory, Midoriya used the Quirk Singularity to make a new one, one that explained that the terms of 'Mutation', 'Transformation' and 'Emitter' are no longer correct as quirks began to be part of multiples categories. Present Mic's quirk being an example of the mix between an Emitter and Mutation type of quirk. Emitter cause he can turn it of and Mutation cause no normal person can scream that loudly.
Aizawa that looking over the shoulder of the teen before he spoke "That's an interessing theory you got here"
Izuku looks at him "Thanks, I thought it was dumb that humanity categories quirks, I mean there powers some are bond to be to weird to fit in a type" Izuku replied. "Can I ask about your quirk?" Aizawa was curious has if the teen was just naturally smart
Izuku stared at the Hero for a bit "My quirk is called Vision, I can see extremely well even from pretty far away, I can also see in the dark. When we went to the doctor when I was four my quirk was categoried as an Emitter since I can turn it off... I think it's between Emitter and Mutation." Izuku answered
"Oh, can you explain why you think that?" Aizawa was invested. "Well, When I turn off my quirk, I see pretty much at a normal distance, if I turn it on I can see up to 5km away. The Mutation part comes with the night vision, normal eyes can't see in the dark and that fiture is one I can't desactive." Izuku replied.
After their little conversation, both went back to their respective rooms, Aizawa to sleep, Midoriya to sent his work to his teacher and then make his way to the children side of the hospital as their honorary caretaker.
