    Izuku falls to his knees, gasping, struggling for air. He can vaguely register the shouting of his neighbors, the alien language coming out shrill and high pitched, even while muffled by Izuku’s own racing heart. His left hand is still holding the bars in a white-knuckled, throbbing grip, the fingernails on his right hand scratching at the metal floor below him.

    Cut off from humanity and forced to rely only on each other, Midoriya Izuku and Shinso Hitoshi have their work cut out for them. Midoriya is clever, intelligent, and a quick study. Shinso knows what it takes to survive with nothing but himself to rely on. Together, they are the perfect match to make it back home. Except for the fact that they happened to be kidnapped by alien pirates, and they have no knowledge of the worlds beyond their solar system. The universe is an unforgiving place, and, as they will soon learn, an extremely dangerous one as well.

    What will it take to make it home? What are they willing to sacrifice? And are they prepared to leave behind the friends they make along the way?

    okay this is executed EXCELLENTLY. a lot of times humans are space orcs fics will neglect the fact that, while insane, humans are still able to be hurt. i love love LOVE that this fic actually shows that, and shows the panic that would come from being in an alien fighting ring and blah blah

    Their newest cell mate was shifting. Clearly, they were beginning to shake off the effects of the drugs, which was shocking. With such a powerful medication, they should have been out for almost two more days. Instead, they were slowly waking from only a few hours under its influence.

    The changes were minute at first. The breathing slowly quickened and changed from measured even breathing to slightly uneven and more shallow breaths. Soon it began to twitch and grumble, it’s face contorting in odd ways that had Aiizwa on edge in an instant.

    It wasn’t until bright green eyes snapped open and the human shifted in an aborted lunge towards the nearest exit.

    He winced as it slammed into the bars.

    The Dresqill had been a planet of conquerors that plagued the solar system, colonizing planets and enslaving their inhabitants.

    Until Oblivion. Or Terra, as it was later renamed by the Council. The Dresquill ventured into the distant solar system only to send back frenzied reports and distress signals. It's unclear if they were left to die on that planet or if they were simply exterminated before help could arrive, but the reports they sent were saved and served as a warning to avoid Oblivion.

    Now traffickers have managed to capture two creatures from Oblivion, placing them in the same cells as the other prisoners in an attempt to torture them. But perhaps these beings have been misunderstood this whole time? They look like of cute-- Nope, they're deadly.
