Prologue

Luka Couffaine started his acting career at a very young age. His father, known as Jagged Stone to his fans and the world, was one of Paris' award winning actors. An award winning actress was Anarka Couffaine, Jagged Stone's wife and Luka's mother.

Joining their career were their twins, Luka and his sister Juleka Couffaine. Luka did enjoy acting, he stared in commercals, TV shows, and movies. On his free time, Luka would practice playing guitar.

He enjoyed it just as much as acting. Maybe even one percent more. He would never tell his parents that, though. The first thing Luka ever acted in was a commercal. He was five. They moved him up to a short kids show when he was twelve and finally at fourteen it was his very first movie.

Luka was sixteen when he stared in the first movie that involved his parents and twin sister. When Luka was seventeen, he met a girl named Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Her parents owned the best bakery in Paris.

Marinette's dream was to become a famous fashion designer. She got her insperation from Gabriel Agreste. Luka and Marinette started dating before Luka's eighteenth birthday, and then continued their relationship ever since.

Marinette and Luka's relationship was going strong, until she saw the add of Gabriel Agreste's son that was her and Luka's age for the first time. That should've been the first red flag.

But Marinette promised that no matter how much she fawned over Adrien Agreste, she would only love Luka in that special way. "I won't ever meet him anyways," She had said.

Who knew that would backfire on her bigtime?

Luka and his family were getting ready for their second movie that all four of them would star in together. Of course, as Luka went to collect the script from the director, he got some pretty shocking news from him.

"What do you mean Adrien Agreste is coming here?"

Luka demanded while he faced the director. The man in the director's chair sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose before facing the teen actor.

"I mean he's coming to be a guest in the upcoming film. Adrien has the skills to be an actor. He's already a model, he knows how to handle the pressure of an eager audience waiting for entertainment. Lighten up, Luka. It won't be as bad as you think it will, trust me." The director dismissed him kindly.

"He'll be here tomorrow morning, give him a warm welcome, Luka." The director instructed him.

Luka scowled before walking back to his trailer. Waiting for him inside was his girlfriend. "Marinette? What are you doing here?" The girl with pigtails huried forward and wrapped her arms around Luka. "I wanted to see my superstar boyfriend. You seemed down. What's the matter?" She asked softly.

Luka sighed and fell onto the couch. Marinette falling with him.

"The director gave me some news." He said. Marinette gasped. "Bad news?" She asked. Luka shook his head. "Not exactly. Bad news for me at least. He invited Adrien Agreste to star as a guest in my next movie." Luka huffed.

"No. Way! Are you serious?!" Marinette sqealed in excitment. She stood up and started jumping up and down. "The Adrien Agresre! Son of Gabriel Agreste the fasion designer! That man is my idol and insperation of me becoming a fasion designer myself. And his son is just so beautiful." She gushed.

Luka sent her a look and she laughed nervously. "Not as beautiful as you of course.." She tried to cover up her "secret" adoration for the model. But Luka could see right past Marinette's walls.

Adrien coming to his movie set was worse than Luka thought, he already knew Marinette loved the guy, and now he was coming to the actual movie set? Marinette was there to see him all the time, there was no way she and Adrien wouldn't meet by chance.

The possibility was off the charts. Luka couldn't risk this model boy stealing his girlfriend from him. If Marinette really met him, she would drop Luka like a sack of potatoes.

The only way to keep Marinette was to make sure she never crossed paths with Adrien. He knew it was probably wrong on so many levels, but he didn't want to lose Marinette so fast.

"Imagine meeting him in person!" Marinette was still ranting about Adrien in front of the boyfriend she already had. The boyfriend that cared about her, cherished her, and truly loved her. The boyfriend that would never talk about how much he loves a famous female model or an actress he looked up to.

"Luka, you have to intoduce me to him!" Marinette placed her hands on his chest. "Please?" She begged, batting her eyelashes. Luka wanted to say no so much, but the way Marinette was looking at him...

"You really want to meet him that badly?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "Yes!" Marinette's bluebell eyes shimmerd brightly. There was no way Luka could say no to her.

"Fine. But don't be disapointed when he turns out to be a huge jerk." Luka finally gave in and agreed to intoduce Adrien to his girlfriend. He hated the idea, but to make her happy...

Marinette sceamed in happiness and jumped into Luka's arms to kiss him. She pulled away before he kissed her back. "Thank you! Thank you so much! I'm sure he won't be that bad." She told him.

"Uh-huh. He'll probably be worse than I thought." Luka grumbled under his breath, not being heard by his girlfriend. "Do you know when he'll be here?" Marinette questioned. "Tomorrow morning." He responded.

"That means I'll have to prepare tonight! I have to look my best tomorrow! I can't believe I'm going to meet Adrien Agreste himself! That means I get to gloat about it to all my followers on Instagram." Marinette pulled out her phone and started live streaming.

That's what she was famous for. Being Luka Couffaine's girlfriend got her thousands of followes and officially varified as famous on Instagram. Sometimes Luka wondered if she truly loved him or of she was just using him to get herself popular.

The morning Luka was least looking forward to came faster than he wanted it to. "Come on! Hurry up, Adrien will be here soon!" Luka's blankets were yanked off his bed.

His younger twin sister Juleka stood at the head of his bed with the sheets in her hand. "Is he really coming this early? Man, that guy must be stuck-up." He used his pillow to cover his face and groaned into it.

"Don't be such a baby," Juleka complained. "Mom and dad are waiting for us," She paused, "They're waiting for you actually, I was sent to retrive you." She rephrased her sentence.

Luka removed the pillow from his face. He tossed it at his sister. "Yeah, yeah. Now go wait outside the door while I change." Juleka caught the pillow and left it on the floor with the blankets at the edge of her brother's bed before leaving the room.

Luka changed into his best outfit at his mother's insistance because saying no to her was dangerous and basically a death wish. Luka joined Juleka once he was ready and the twins met up with their parents on the movie set.

"There you are, son. Adrien will be here any minute. He's a model so we must greet him with the utmost respect." Luka internally rolled his eyes at his father's words and put on his best fake smile. It was foolproof, he was an actor after all. "I expect you to be on your best behavior, Luka." His mother added.

Luka didn't dare to even interally roll his eyes for her. The red carpet was rolled out and rope barriers were set to keep the papparatzi a safe distance away from the young model. Adrien's black limo pulled up in front of the carpet.

Cameras were flashing before he even stepped out of the car. That pissed Luka off so much. Adrien's driver was a very large man whose word's were mere grunts. He opened the back door and once the blonde beauty's feet stepped onto the red carpet, that's when the cheering from the fans and hundreds of flashes started.

Adrien's driver also happened to be his bodyguard. He used his own body to hide Adrien from all the flashing cameras and the eyes of the screaming fans. Luka didn't understand why Adrien needed to be hidden like the way he was.

He shoud be soaking up all that glory of being so famous and loved. Luka's eyes twitched when he noticed his own sister was cheering for Adrien, not as loudly, but still.

He felt betrayed by his twin. Once Adrien was inside the studio, he was safe from all the fans and papparatzi because they weren't allowed in the building while the filming of the movie was in progress.

Luka pulled out his phone and started at a certain contact. His finger hovered over the message option. Luka noticed his hand was shaking in hesitance to text his girlfriend that her model boy was on set.

To: Marinette
From: Luka
'He's here.. come to the studio. They should let you in.'

He sighed at he hit the send button. Not even three seconds and there was an immidiate response from her.

From: Marinette
To: Luka
'EEEEEEK!!! I'll be right there! I'll see you in a few minutes babe! Kisses!'

Luka frowned at the message before putting his phone away for good. He was sitting in his chair next to Juleka and their parents when Adrien and his bodyguard approached them.

Jagged Stone stood up to over-enthusiastically shake Adrien's hands. "Young Mr. Agreste, it is a great honor to meet you. And what a plesure it'll be to have you join me and my family in this movie." Adrien nodded and shook Jagged's hands back.

"I have watched each of the movies you've been in more than three times, I am a huge fan of yours Mr. Stone." Adrien smiled. "Call me Jagged. This is my lovely wife Anarka," Adrien shook Luka's mother's hand. "Nice to meet you matey." Adrien made a confused face at Mrs. Couffaine's strange way of speaking.

Jagged leaned forward to whisper in Adrien's ear. "She's been in many pirate movies, the accent stuck with her." Adrien nodded in understanding.

"Meet my beautiful daughter Juleka and my handsome son Luka. They're twins." Juleka shook Adrien's hand with a real smile on her face. "My girlfriend Rose is one of your biggest fans," Juleka told him.

That was one thing Luka shared with his sister. At least Juleka had nothing to worry about. Rose was too into girls to leave Juleka for a boy. Marinette was more likley to leave him to chase after Adrien for real.

When Adrien moved for a friendly handshake with Luka, all he was met with was a boy with a scary aura surrounding him and a very heavy scowl on his face. "Unfortuniatly, so is mine." He spat, jumping up from his chair and walking off in the direction of his trailer, all without shaking Adrien's hand.

"I told him to be on his best behaviour." Anarka huffed, hands on her hips. Jagged sighed and shook his head in disaproval.

Juleka watched Luka's figure leave and then turned back to Adrien. "I must appolgize for my brother's attitude. He isn't normally like that. If you give him enough time he should warm up to you." Juleka promised.

"Don't worry about it. He can take all the time he needs. There are a few people who aren't my biggest fans. Over time that list gets shorter and shorter. He's the only one on it at the moment." Juleka smiled.

"Trust me, once Luka gets to know you, he'll love you for sure." For a moment, Juleka was sure she saw a blush form across the model's face. "You think so?" He asked in a suspiciously slightly shy tone.

"Why not? Think of him like a hedgehog, he's all spikes on the outside, but when he uncurls from the ball, there's this soft, cute and fuzzy creature inside." Juleka made sure to pay attention to Adrien's face while she said her words.

"I'll take your word for it." The model agreed. The young actress grinned. "Great. Oh! Do you think you could sign this for my girlfriend?" Juleka pulled out a small version of one of Adrien's many, many, many, posters.

"Of course I can." Adrien took the picture and pulled out his marker. "To Rose, all the best, Adrien." It helped when Adrien said the messages he wrote to his fans out loud.

Juleka beamed when she got the picture back. "She's going to love this. Thanks." Juleka got up from her chair and headed for her trailer. Soon enough, Adrien heard a high-piched scream of joy that came from the actress' trailer.

He chucked softly. He loved making his fans happy. Most actors and actress' adored him. Then there was the one actor his age he would be working with on one movie for a very long time that he needed to win the heart of.

He really had his work cut out for him because Luka wasn't friendly towards him at all. "I want to make a good impression on your son.. do you think you can tell me which trailer is his?" Adrien rubbed his arm as he asked Jagged and Anarka the question.

"Of course we can, dear. It's the blue one that is mostly covered in guitar stickers. It's one of a kind, you won't miss it." Anarka told him. "Thank you." Adrien dipped his head respectfully before he began his search of Luka's trailer.

He found a lot of them. The studio was huge. After walking in a maze of the many actors and actress' trailers, Adrien came across the blue one with guitar stickers. They were different shapes, sizes, colors and types of guitars.

"She wasn't kidding about the stickers.." He mumbled to himself. Adrien walked up the steps and lightly knocked on the door. He was expecting Luka to answer, but he was met with a pretty girl with her hair in pigtails wearing a very nice outfit.

"A-Adrien Agreste.." She sputtered, her voice only just a squeak, eyes wide. "Marinette? Who's at the door?" Adrien recognized Luka's voice as he got closer to the door. "Oh. It's just you." Luka scoffed.

Adrien looked back at the Marinette girl, she was frozen like a statue. "Ugh. I knew this would happen the moment she saw you." Luka growled, grabbing Marinette by the shoulders and guiding her to the couch.

Adrien slowly placed one foot inside the trailer. "It's... nice in here.." He whispered aloud. "Yeah, well I didn't invite you in, now did I?" Luka hissed.

Marinette had broken out of her trance. "Oh please let him stay Luka, I have so many questions I want to ask him." Luka rolled his eyes. "They're all just going to be 'Can you sign this' questions, right? I see all the bags of Adrien Agreste merch you have with you. I was the one who hauled them all in here." Marinette couldn't hide her blush.

"I don't mind signing a few things.." Adrien announced. Luka sent him a look of annoyance. "I hope you mind signing seven bags full of every single kind of merch of yours that exists." He jeered at him.

"Actually I don't... because I have signing days where I sign thousands of these things so it's really no big deal." Luka scowled again and turned away. Marinette jumped up and pulled Adrien completely into the trailer.

She pushed him onto the couch and placed one of the bags into his lap. Adrien smiled nervously before he began to sign every single piece of merch of himself that Luka Couffaine's girlfriend owned.

Mariette had a spacific message that she wanted for each piece of merch. That's never happend before. His fans were always okay with him writing the messages himself.

Adrien wasn't used to a new routine coming to him so quickly. "When you're done I'm going to vlog everything!" Adrien's hand froze in the middle of the word he was writing.

If Marinette vlogs that she requested him to write messages she wanted, then however many followers she has who are fans of his will want the same thing. The next signing day was in two weeks.

Adrien wasn't ready to switch over from what he'd done for years to something completely different and unfamiliar. Adrien had a routine. Get the merch from the fan, write something while saying it out loud so said fan knew exactly what he was writing.

He would have to practice over and over again asking what fans want him to write on their merch. "Adrien? Did you zone out or something?" Luka's harsh voice brought him back to reality.

"Huh? Ah, sorry about that." Adrien went back to the message he was writing. "What's next?" Marinette handed him the second bag. It had a couple extra items in it than the first bag did.

Maybe Marinette had enough merch to get him at least an idea of how to ask fans what they want written. But of course, on his signing days, it was one fan with one to three small items or one large item at a time.

Marinette was one fan with extra large, large, medium, small and extra small items for him to sign all at once. After signing five out of seven bags, Adrien's fingers had began to cramp up.

He had breaks on signing days to rest his writing hand. He was signing Marinette's merch nonstop for the last hour and a half. "Only two bags to go, and they both just have two big things each." Marinette informed him, she picked up both bags at the same time and put them on either side of him.

"Lucky me.." Adrien took out the items and listened to Marinette's request for the four items. Luka somehow noticed his discomfort and took the pen from Adrien's hand.

Marinette gasped. "Luka! That was very rude!" She scolded. "What's rude is making him sign your damn merch for two hours straight and not asking him if he wants a break. His hand is probably killing him by now." Luka defended.

Adrien's lips parted slightly. Luka had stood up for him. Adrien's cheeks felt warm and his stomach felt fuzzy. Marinette looked at him. "Sorry I made you write so much without letting you rest your hand.." She apologized.

"Don't worry about it.. my hand is okay. I was almost done anyway." Adrien held out his hand toward Luka silently asking for his pen back. Luka narrowed his eyes before placing it into Adrien's hand. "Thanks." Luka turned away. "Whatever."

Adrien signed the last item and placed it back into the bag. "There. I'm done." Marinette picked up and her bags and squealed. She then dashed out of the trailer with the seven bags.

She had forgotten to thank Adrien for signing, and forgot to thank her boyfriend, the one that got her in to meet Adrien in the first place. Marinette was just too excited to show off her signed merch to her followers.

Luka was in for a long road ahead of him.

Notes:

I made the decision to put this story up on ao3. Because I can and it's my story so yeah.

-- Note from Wattpad below --

A new story! Trust me, it will not be as long as my main book. I will not stop writing the cat and the snake of course, but I will take some time to write this book and hopfully finish it before June ends or the start of July. I'll go back and forth because I have all the titles of every chapter of this book picked. It'll only be three character POVs. Luka, Adrien and the narrator. Enjoy.
