So since this is ao3, I'll have my notes from the end of the chapter on the end notes instead, yeah that will make it less words for the chapter but so what? I also needed to put the description from Wattpad exactly the same on here.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Models Only Have One Personality: Arrogance (Luka)

Chapter Text

I expected Adrien Agreste to be this spoiled, cocky, rude little rich kid. I didn't exactly stick around to find out when he first arrived. Marinette was completely gaga over him.

What does he have that I don't? Whatever he has, it makes her like him more. Did I feel bad that she made him spend hours signing all her merch and that his hand got cramped up?

Not really. I mean, he was in pain and it was because of Marinette.. but I don't want to show that I actually care about his feelings or anything like that. Deep down, I bet he's arrogant, like all models should be.

That's their only personality and I'm sticking to that conclusion. Adrien would have to do something so unexpected to change my mind about him. But like that would ever happen.

"Luka, we start shooting the first scene today, come on." Juleka opened my trailer door and hurred me to the set. My parents and Adrien were already there. I rolled my eyes as I was told to sit in the chair next to him.

He turned to see me. "Hi." He gave me a smile. I frowned. I know the game he was playing, act nice to try and make me let my guard down before he swooped down to show his true colours.

Maybe he'll steal my girlfriend while he was at it too, I wouldn't put it passed him to attempt a move like that. Would Marinette drop me and jump into his arms if he opened them for her? In a heartbeat.

That meant I had to do everything I can to keep him from making her fall for him just like that. If I proved I was better than him, she wouldn't leave me for him.

The director came around handing us scripts. Three Sides to Every Story was written across in bold black letters. I wasn't sure what this story would be about, but my character, Xavier Goodwin, seemed to be the male lead.

In the script I noticed the female lead was the main love interest. Her name was Rosanna Cantrell. It didn't say who would be playing her though. I noticed another male lead. Adrien's character.

Brodie Rice.

I kept reading, and I learned the plot of the story was that Xavier and Brodie were both in love with Rosanna. The whole point was that they fight over who got to be with her.

As if it almost reminded me of real life. "Ah, before I begin, let me intoduce our female lead, I suspect Luka, you will be pleased about who she is." The director winked at me.

I didn't get what he was talking about until Marinette walked through the doors. "Wecome, Miss. Dupain-Chenge, we were very pleased to hear that you accepted the offer of being our female lead." Marinette giggled.

"I couldn't pass up the opportinity to be in a movie with Adrien Agreste." She made eye contact with me. "And my boyfriend, of course." She added quickly, but I caught the nervousness in her voice.

"Now that we have our full cast, we are set to begin. First we will be going around reading lines. And over the course of the week we will slowly get into dress rehersal." Marinette took the seat on the other side of me.

"Isn't this exciting? I heard that Rosanna is supposed to be the most beautiful girl any guy could ever dream of, and the fact that she has the most hansomest guys after her heart makes it even better." She gushed.

"Director, sir.. uh, my character, he's supposed to.. be in love with this girl.. yeah?" Adrien had his script open, the expression on his face showed that he was unsure.

"That is correct, Mr. Agreste. Brodie is a generous soul, he always puts others before himself. Rosanna has captured his heart without a second thought. The story is truly magical." Adrien smiled and went back to reading.

"Now Mr. Couffaine, I need to to potray Xavier as a rebel, as people call it. He gets into trouble at school, he plays loud music, oh, and he has an electric guitar. I've heard it's your favourite instument." Yes, I do play guitar, but I play the normal acoustic guitar, I've never gotten my hands on an electric guitar before.

One of the producers came over and handed me a bright turquoise electic guitar. "You can get used to this, it's yours now." She walked away without another word.

The quitar felt strange in my hands, it was lighter and much thinner than my acoustic guitar, and there wasn't a hole in it. I didn't even know how to play it.

I would have to get used to it for the movie. My character plays one of these things, and I had to bring him to life. "Um.. Luka.." I turned to see Adrien looking at me. "Do you know how to play that?" He asked.

I scowled at him. "I know how to play a guitar, this can't be any different when it comes to the strings and tuning it up. I don't need a teacher to show me how to use an instument I already know how to use." He withdrew from me.

"I only wanted to help.. I'm sorry.." He went back to reading his script. I felt something hit my arm. Or rather, someone. It was Marinette. She had a frown on her face. "Luka, that was very rude. If he knows how to play an electic guitar and you don't, you should let him show you how it works. If that was me, I wouldn't think twice before agreeing to let him give me lessons." She made a face and looked in Adrien's direction.

I didn't want her to keep defending him like that. "Fine." I tapped Adrien's shoulder. I avoided looking directly at him. "Do you really know how to use one of these?" I handed it over to him.

"Yeah.. my parents used to be in a rock band, my mother was their lead guitarest. She taught me." I was not expecting that. Adrien Agreste's parents in a rock band? "I didn't take Gabriel or Emilie Agreste to be the 'rock band' type." Adrien tunned the guitar.

"Oh, it was a long time ago. When they were teenagers. Their band was actually how they met." He explained while he got out of his seat to hook up the guitar to an amplifier.

He strumbed the strings and the sound came out way too loud, even with the gentle way he touched the strings. Everyone had to cover their ears. "Sorry about that!" He called out and turned down the volume by a lot.

He tested it again, preparing for the loud burst of sound. "Perfect." He walked back over to me. "I know it's not your typical acoutic guitar, but the way you play it is the same. You just have to give it a little more.. oomph."

I did not understand a single word he said. "I can show you. I think I can remember most of what my mom taught me." Adrien started to strum the strings, then he started to get really into it and played something.. amazing.

Like his hands were made to hold a guitar. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He did the big finish most rockers do, the knee slide thing. The studio grew completely silent.

Adrien looked around the room. Then the applause started. His face turned beet red. Adrien got to his feet, cleared his throat and handed the guitar back to me.

After watching Adrien play it, the electric guitar seemed to fit in my hands perfectly now. Before I didn't get the feel of it, but now I do. I was not going to let it be beacause Adrien had it in his hands first before giving it to me.

I remembered what Adrien had done, it was annoying, but he really did know how to play the electric guitar. He taught me how to play it properly. "Have we gotten the lines down?" The director asked.

Everyone nodded. "Wonderful! Now we can start saying them to eachother, scene one." I flipped through my script to find the opening scene.

It bgean with a high school, studends walking inside. Rosanna was the first to be on screen. She walked up the steps with her some of her hair tied up. It was wavey. Her outfit was a simple dress that blew in the wind.

She wore a hat. The wind had gotten so strong that it blew off her head. Rosanna attepted to reach up, but she wasn't tall enough. But before it blew away, Adrien's character, Brodie used his height to catch it and placed it back onto Rosanna's head.

"Windy day, isn't it?" Adrien said. Marinette blushed as she said her own line. "It is. Thank you for catching my hat, I apprciate you returning it to me." I tried not to let out an angry sound at the way she said her line.

"It was my pleasure. Couldn't have you losing your had and letting your pretty face get sunburnt, now could we?" I also tried not to glare at Adrien as he called my girlfriend pretty, but I had to remember, it was her character, Rosanna he was calling pretty, not Marinette herself.

But I couldn't help but feel uneasy. I wasn't the biggest fan of either of their lines. "Oh.." Marinette tucked some hair behind her ear to give the scene more "emotion" but I hated the way she did it.

I didn't want to come across as one of those very possesive boyfriends who would make his girlfriend tell him where she was going everytime she went out, but Adrien Agreste is the type of guy who could have any girl he wanted.

I'm not going to risk the fact that he might just go after mine, so I have to keep my guard up at all times and never let him slip through my fingers with Marinette.

I got my attention back to the script where my character finally makes his appearence. "Why would you need a hat to hide that beautiful face of yours?" Did my line have to be that cheezy?

"It's to protect her face from a sunburn, Xavier." Adrien said his line. "Isn't that was sunscreen is for? The sun wouldn't dare burn a face as beautuful as hers." My character really is a.. flirt.

"I like wearing hats, Xavier. Brodie.. would you like to walk inside with me?" Marinette started twirling her hair around her finger. "Sure. I'd love to." The scene ended with Brodie walking inside with Rosanna.

I would've liked to add Xavier errupting like a volcano before following them inside. "Astonishing first scene everyone! Take five and meet back here, we're going to try acting out the scene this time." The crew went their separate ways to take their break.

Marinette got out of her seat and walked over to Adrien. "Would you like to get a coffee with me before we start blocking out our scene?" I waited for his answer. "Actually.. I'm allergic to coffee beans. I only drink tea." He said.

"The little cafe around here has tea." Marinette turned to me. "The three of us could go together." Adrien looked between her and me. "Um.. I wouldn't want to intrude on your date. You guys go ahead, I brought my own tea from home." Adrien pulled out a thermos and held it up for us both to see.

"I didn't know an allergy to coffee beans even existed. I'm still gonna go grab a coffee. I'll be back." At least she kissed my cheek before leaving. I was now alone with Adrien.

I crossed my arms. "Are you really allergic to coffee or did you make that up?" He drank from his thermos. "I didn't make that up, Luka. I am allergic to coffee beans. And even if I wasn't, I'm not going to grab a coffee with your girlfriend. I'm not that kind of guy." I believed him about his allergy, but not the other thing.

He should be jumping for joy to have a coffee date with Marinette. She's beautiful. "That's what all you models say." I pointed at him with suspicion. "Luka, I promise I'm not like the other models. I would never steal another guy's girlfriend. It's wrong and my parents raised me better than that." I still wasn't going to believe him, but I would pretend to, for now.

"Luka." Adrien started to talk again. "The reason I won't go after your girlfriend is because-"

"I'm back!" Marinette came running over with two cups in her hands. She gave one to me. "It's your favourite, a caramel latte." I smiled. "Thanks." I took a sip. I loved caramel lattes.

"What was it you were saying?" I looked over at Adrien again. "Nevermind. I'll... tell you later." He muttered the last part. I didn't think much of it so I just shrugged it off and drank my latte.

"Places everyone! Time to block out the scene and act it out." Marinette and I set down our drinks and headed over to the strage area to act out scene one. Adrien joined us. We did exactly what we did when we read our lines when sitting, but this time acted it out more according to how the script had our caracters move around.

Because we were acting it out, Marinette had to be close to Adrien when she thanked him for catching her hat. Then they had to walk side-by-side into the school. I swore I saw their hands brush.

I wasn't sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me when Adrien moved his hand away from Marinette's to prevent that from happening again. It had to be a trick of some sort. No way would the model Adrien Agreste move his hand away from a girl as beautiful as Marinette if their hands happened to brush against eachother.

But that didn't matter. I bet eventually that small little brush of their hands would turn into real hand holding. And I plan on putting a stop to it before it could ever get to that point.
