As the Editor-in-Chief of a top-selling fashion magazine, Miranda Priestly cannot allow herself to be idle. Simply sitting around doing nothing? Unthinkable.
Except on dark, rainy afternoons.
When the water droplets hammer down onto her office windows so harshly that she can barely hear her own thoughts… that is when she sets her pen aside, takes her cup of scalding hot coffee, leans back and simply lets herself exist.
For just a moment, nobody and nothing can disturb her.
This is her time. Two minutes, spent doing the one thing she ordinarily doesn’t: listening to the world outside of Runway.
