Summary
Sida Ioannou is a failed experiment.
The daughter of a eugentics-obsessed professor, she flees the Lefkosia asylum. But the mysterious illness that plagues her mind isn't done with her.
Adrift in 1935 Egypt and dismissed from yet another dig, Sida agrees to help a band of thieves rob a tomb at Mit Rahinah. Everything goes wrong.
Violently, impossibly wrong.
Thrown three thousand years into the past, Sida awakens in the glittering necropolis of ancient Memphis, a curse burned into her palm. The only way home lies with Crown Prince Thutmose: heir to Egypt, high priest, and a man fated to vanish from history. His suspected murderer? His younger brother, Akhenaten, the future heretic responsible for Egypt's greatest era of unrest.
To survive, Sida must keep the doomed prince alive long enough to steal his royal seal. But Thutmose lives in a court where every favor is a risk and every ally a potential executioner. As their fates intertwine, Sida must decide if she's fighting to save her life, or becoming something the past was always waiting for.
In Egypt, a name is more than memory. To be forgotten is to die twice.
